Guest Reviews
- Bronwyn (1/5): Do not recommend - The location The place was not clean. Tidy yes... definitely not clean. Absolutely nothing there such as toilet rolls, dishwashing items. No TV, no reception. Later tried contacting Booking.com and National Parks to no avail. An absolute rip off
... we left within half hour of arriving and went to a motel
- Julia (8/5): Wonderfully peaceful and serene. - Amazing location and views. The accomodation was basic but comfortable. The heating was welcomed on the cold nights. The wildlife and wildflowers were in abundance - beautiful. Having the Dutchman as our backyard for 3 days was the perfect holiday. A few more home comforts would have been welcomed - toilet paper and bin bags (or making it clear they were not supplied). But otherwise it was great.
- Christine (7/5): Shearers Quarters, comfortable with well equipped kitchen & outside patio in stunning location - The Shearers Quarters had a fully equipped kitchen and lovely comfortable living area with small outside deck to enjoy. Gas heater in living area was appreciated. Stunning location in the national park on the Heysen Trail.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - Loved the isolation, photographic spaces Lack of communication from booking.com as I was unable to access the PIN number due to no internet service. Would have preferred a text message or email with the PIN number as we had to stay in Quorn the first night of our stay due to this issue and was unable to make contact with booking.com.australia or the owners of the property at that time of the evening which added to our expense.
- Charmaine (1/5): extremely dissapointed , - the stunning views a proper description of the accomodation , ie An overnight hiking lodge would have been more fitting ! not a 3 day family holiday location, the lounges are very very grubby absolutly should be thrown out, , the curtains in the main bedroom are stiff with dust with cobwebs behind, after initial try to open didnt try again, finding out there was no tv (too Late to cancel the booking where in the 21st century is there no tv or radio (a given in a bushfire prone location) the outside bush toilet was exactly that so thats a heads up, to be expected to clean the shower and toilet when leaving was the biggest insult , absolutley no cleaning products supplied so begs the question are they ever sanistised? I will end this revue with a positive the gas fire was brilliant
- Rajni (6/5): Great location inside the conservation park but has toilet outside and you take your own linen. - The location right in the lap of nature amongst kangaroos.
The whole house to ourselves! The toilet being outside the main building. It was highly in convenient. It was not a good accommodation for kids or elderly who need to use toilet at night. You had to go out in darkness. Surely the property needs renovations and at least one toilet should be inside the main building attached to one of the bedrooms.
- Matthew (8/5): outback in style - quiet location good location
- Harmony (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (8/5): Very good - Isolation Hazards outside entrance
- Lorraine (6/5): It was okay. Views were nice. - Didn't like the toilet being outside. It was an extremely windy night, and the bathroom door opens out the wrong way to get to the toilet, so it was a fight holding the door open and then trying to close it.
