Guest Reviews
- Marilyn (4/5): - Location Hot water not on in bathroom sink then not on at all. Agent provided plumber fairly quickly.
- Kath (5/5): Passable - Spa bath very unhygienic
Upon turning it on alot of different hair types appeared in water none belonging to ourselves. Differing instructions on how to operate gas fire on on mirror above fire and another from lease agent. Poor that in booking comments you are not made aware of share back yard and laundry
- Maria (9/5): amazing - great location beautiful cottage perfect for us
spa was great The bathroom was huge but the shower was not great
it needs a shower head with a hose
uses less water
- Robyn (8/5): A nice touch to include fresh milk in the fridge on arrival. - It was bright and clean with quality linen. The 2 lounge chairs are absolutely filthy! They look like the covers have never been washed!! Very disappointing given the price and quality of the cottage generally.
- Robert (8/5): Lovely cottage in great location. Ideal for a short stay. - Easy walk to town and beach. Close to other amenities. Original cottage from a bygone era with some modern-day tweaks such as spa bath to relax after a day of hiking or at the beach. Basic facilities only but this did not detract from our short stay as it seemed to fit with the historical nature of the cottage. Some history of the cottage (e.g. Age and original use) would have added to the stay.
- Ian (4/5): Had to leave a day early due to no internet or mobile coverage. - Cosy cottage feel and good location. No internet connection (which we were aware of) but also no (Vodafone) mobile signal, so we had to leave a day early.
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (8/5): A nice and cosy place to stay. - Bed was super comfortable.
Gas log fire is nice. Lounge chairs are a bit dirty, no sponge provided in the kitchen.
- Roger (7/5): Good - once we worked out the gas fire. loved it Aircon broke down, not so good but not a show stopper.
- Edwin (7/5): Nice comfortable stay - Good bathroom, good bed and nice cottage ambience.
Town centre on walking distance. No good mobile coverage and no Wifi.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - The cottage was cosy and inviting
The only downside was that the shower was a cheap cubicle that had a smooth floor that my wife and I slipped on every time we had a shower a non slip mat would be a safer option
- Thomas (3/5): Wonderful town, poor accommodation. - The town of Port Fairy and the coastline are stunning. There are several excellent restaurants and bakeries. A walk around Griffiths Island is a must do. The cottage is in a poor state with spiders webs on the furniture and we found several ants in the kitchen. The bathroom appears to be the largest room in the cottage and is in need of a makeover.
- Mcmurtrie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for us . Nice quaint cottage Probably needed a bit more of a clean . There were a few spiders about . But apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
- Sally (8/5): A lovely winter escape in Port Fairy. Great location, clean, warm and friendly cottage. - Great quiet location with short walk to beaches, dining out and lovely parks right next door. Very warm on winter nights with spacious bathroom and well-equipped kitchen facilities. Lounge couches not that comfy and when it rained, water ran in the entrance - neither a big deal.
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Gemma (8/5): Lovely little cottage in an excellent location. Very clean and well furnished. - This was a perfect little cottage in an excellent location. It was only a short walk to the town centre and beach. The cottage was very clean and guests are well provided for. No WiFi connection. Even though we both had data plans the connectivity was very poor inside the cottage and we had to go outside to use the internet.
- Annette (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Max (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Britta (8/5): Very good -
- Terence (8/5): Very good -
- Tyrone (5/5): Passable - N/A No proper table &chairs, no place to hang clothes or place keep bags
Bathroom OK, Kitchen Acceptable
- Paul (9/5): Great location. - Near the centre of town. Warm, cosy, well furnished Only improvement would be to add internet. Otherwise perfect
- Stuart (8/5): Comfortable and enjoyable stay. - Great location. Very comfortable facilities. Light bulbs, that had blown, needed to be replaced
