Great for a girl’s weekend or families
Laundry/ clothes airers There was a little bit of maintenance that needed to be attended to. We had to take photos and send to owner as we were scared we would loose the $500 bond!
We didn’t think it was the responsibility of the guests to take the bins out onto the street on departure. The driveway was not flat and the bins were very full from previous guests. We were told we would forgo the bond if this was not done
The biggest thing we didn’t like was NO Free to Air TV or if there was we could not access it. We were looking forward to watching the football on the Friday night and we could not get the free to air channels
- Rachel (10/5): We loved our time at Valentine Sandcastle. The two living areas meant adults could relax while the kids enjoyed table t - The property was very spacious and perfect for a family group with children, who loved the games room with the table tennis table. If anything, the couch was a little uncomfortable

- Wendy (8/5): We had a lovely family holiday , the house was suitable for 3 families. Two spacious living areas to - Close to front and back beaches and the Blairgowrie village.
Rye shopping also quite close We had trouble getting free to air TV

- Sheena (9/5): - Very spacious, cozy, beautiful panoramic sunrise and sunset views. Heaters in all rooms. Bedding was lovely, and there are heaps of extra blankets and pillows. Very well stocked and spacious kitchen, We all wished we had an extra night there to relax and watch the sunset once more on the balcony! Would absolutely book again. No air conditioning in the bedrooms, only in the living space (living room, kitchen, dining area ) which was fine as it was winter, but good to know if you're booking in summer. Could use some full length mirrors! Otherwise the place was Ace.
- Hai (9/5): Great place, great location! - Location was great. Shops and restaurants were a short drive away. The property itself was well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer that actually dried the clothes! The dual living zone was perfect for kids wishing to play and adults who wanted some quiet time! Lighting was a little dark in the games room and dining area and the property could’ve done with a few more pots and pans. All in all, property was great and would definitely book this property again!
- Monica (10/5): Great location near springs, beach, nature walks, cafes and winneries. - Perfect home to enjoy a long weekend with adult children and their partners. Our dog Ernie also had a great time in the secured garden.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Plenty of room and clean.
- Timothy (8/5): Location of the property was excellent, just a short walk from both the front and back beaches. - Location of the property was excellent, just a short walk from both the front and back beaches.
The house is well appointed with good size bedrooms and plenty of space for 2 families. Having 2 living areas was great.
Melinda and Jake weee excellent hosts.
- Christos (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (9/5): We had a great time, house very clean with beautiful views of the tree tops from the balcony. - The Location was in a lovely area of Rye. Very close to town. One thing that could have been better would be perhaps a second Rubbish bin during the busy season. When we arrived the only rubbish bin was full.
- Nuwan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucinda (9/5): Superb -
- Rachael (8/5): We had a wonderful time and for 6 of us it was a perfect size. The owner was very helpful when we p - Lovely house, clean and comfortable. Suited our needs well Doonas we’re a bit thin for cold weather and there were no extra blankets. No hanging space ( cupboards) in any of the bedrooms other than the childrens bunk room
- Gloria (7/5): Great house with new bathrooms fit for large group of friends - It is on a quiet street and the house had the table tennis set up which kept the kids and grown ups entertained while it rained the whole time for our 3 nights stay. Lots of different spaces for the group to separate into when playing or eating. Had enough furniture and kitchen equipments to cook and get comfortable.
Bathrooms newly renovated. Lots of parking in front of house.
Owner is very nice to deal with, easy going and readily contactable. It could be cleaner. The floor boards and stairs were dirty (feet were black if walked around barefooted). The sofa upstairs also could have done with a wipe down.
Some of the kitchen cooking utensils are rusty and old so not really useful.
Did some digging in the cupboards for extra thicker duvets as it was cold. We only had a thin blanket set up for the beds.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (9/5): The photos on this post don't do this place justice. Would 100% recommend & stay again! -
