• Joanna (10/5): - Cosy, well appointed cottage. Comfortable beds and excellent location. Everything you need is provided. Super dog friendly. We had a wonderful stay. One bathroom to share between four friends with access to one bedroom through the bathroom (or outdoor access) but we made it work!

The electric fireplace was warm and cozy, and the host generously provided everything we could possibly need, along with a detailed local travel guide. My family and I were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely recommend this place to our friends!

• Goulnara (10/5): We had a wonderful stay in Little Metung Hideaway, location and house are perfect! - The house has huge veranda with fantastic view on green rolling hills. Perfect place to watch sunset and listen to sound of nature - birds songs and frogs croaking. House has everything for comfortable stay and lots of little touches that made stay even more enjoyable. No fence along the road. We stayed with 2 doxies and have to take them to backyard on leash and then release them as backyard was secured with fence. It is just minor inconvenience

• Sandra (10/5): Wonderful stay, thank you. - Fantastic location, not far from Metung. Amazing views from the terrace. Comfortable and homely accommodation. So peaceful. Helpful and accommodating host. Cannot fault and highly recommended.
• Friederike (4/5): In general a nice property but one unusable bed made out stay uncomfortable - Property is clean and good value for money if all beds had been available. Beautiful surroundings and lots of wildlife to spot from the deck. One of the single beds had a broken slat and would slip off when using the bed. That made our stay quite uncomfortable. When mentioned, the host said they did not know about it. However, one of the broken parts of the slat had already ducked tape around it….
• Kay (9/5): A lovely bushy retreat, so close to the water.. - Lovely location in bush setting but just minutes from the water & township. House was very comfortable. Lots of beautiful birds & bird noises to wake up to. Spending time on the deck in the mornings with a cuppa was a great start to the day.. even saw a couple of deer roaming on the opposite hill. Very little.. maybe a couple of microwave containers for some lazy holiday cooking 😂

Lovely view you can enjoy before falling asleep on the vera - Great place to relax, bed was comfortable, pizza oven was very special, dog friendly, spacious If the backyard is secured for the dogs it would have been perfect.

• Gleadell (9/5): Wonderful cosy home for a week away - Extremely comfy, cosy house to enjoy a few days of relaxation. The views are absolutely stunning. The house was equipped with everything we needed and everything was very clean. The decor was just so fitting for the coastal hideaway. So much attention to detail with the lovely beachy vibes. The gardens were beautiful and it's clear that the owner is a collector with lots of cute ornaments and things to look at. Heating was great although we didn't need it. Beds had electric blankets (again were not needed but appreciated). It was a really quiet, tranquil environment. 30 minute walk to Metung centre. Very minor comments here, but I would have preferred to bring my own pillow as I found the ones in the master to be too firm for my liking. One small addition for future could be another mirror near a powerpoint such as the master bedroom.

The view from the deck was amazing and we loved the visits from all the birds. There has been a lot of thought to include everything you might need for a home away from home which was great, thank you. The couches are not very comfortable.

The view was nice and the host was quite thoughtful about making sure the essentials were really well stocked. We had a fantastic holiday. Only minor improvements are : one of the beds was not comfortable and the mattress can be replaced, air conditioner remote battery was flat,

• Marc (10/5): Little Metung review - The house was clean well equipped and close to attractions, it is also located in a extremely quiet and beautiful area. The kitchen could do with some blinds to make it a little more private but the area is so quiet it's not a big issue.

• Sharnah (9/5): Superb - All the small touches made a big difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay A citrus juicer would have also come in handy. The mattresses weren't comfortable.
• Vanessa (10/5): This house made our family holiday a wonderful trip away from everything. - The house had a warm welcoming atmosphere. We felt at home straight away. The dining suite is gorgeous! I loved that there were all the essentials in the bathroom. And coffee in the kitchen! The location was lovely. The view of the hills was so peaceful. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to relax between day trips. The girls were able to toast marshmallows and make smores at night in the little fire place outside. They were so happy. The neighbour's cows came to check us out in the morning, so cute! My kids are older teenagers and found the single beds a little uncomfortable. They are more suited to very young families. It's great that the little extras were left in the kitchen pantry, but the U/B dates needs to be kept an eye on for the longer life items. The television didn't pick up many channels well, or have an option to put our netflix on. But none of these things took away from our lovely break.

It is very comfortable and nicely decorated and the garden is lovely. The mattresses in the beds were quite soft and felt a little lumpy, but the pillows and doona were warm and comfy.

• Gabriele (7/5): Good - Beautiful location, very peaceful. Nice view sitting on the balcony looking over rural land. Easy parking. Good outdoor bbq/pizza oven outside. The weather was miserable so we’re unable to use all the facilities. Kitchen set up well for a longer stay. Home made tea and biscuits a lovely touch. Fire place and heaters kept the place lovely and warm, as the weather was more like winter than summer. The accommodation suited a family better than two couples, since there was shared bathroom connecting the bedrooms. If one couple was using the bathroom, there was no access out for the other couple to exit unless you used the external sliding door and front entrance. If you forgot to unlock bathroom one couple would be locked in their bedroom. You had to remember to take the front entrance key to get out of the bedroom if the bathroom was occupied or the other couple forgot to unlock bathroom door. The TV speaker was causing a cracking sound, maybe speakers were blown in the family room. Bedroom tv was fine.
• Anna (8/5): Lovely house with amazing views from the deck - Great location - only a few minutes drive into Metung town. The view from the deck was amazing and gardens were lovely. Had everything we needed - would stay again. Limited mobile Internet access and no wifi but this could be seen as a plus!
• Roland (9/5): This house offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Lakes Entrance. - We really liked the location, a quiet place to come back to after a busy day of activities. It's well appointed, and the view from the back deck is lovely and peaceful. It even has an outdoor pizza oven and a firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows! Just a short drive to Lakes Entrance. An extra pedestal fan would make the main bedroom more comfortable on hot days. The air-conditioning worked well throughout the rest of the house, though.

• Rob (10/5): Perfect house for a family getaway! Would stay again. - Location is great - ideal for exploring the area! Wood fired pizza oven was fun, loved the colourful birds visiting each morning on the balcony and there was even a rocking horse for our little kids (they loved it). Great shower too. Everything you need. Two of the bedroom blinds were broken but Cindy has assured us this is about to be fixed. Cindy was very responsive to messages and helpful.
• Nick (9/5): A peaceful, comfortable break that’s well located. Perfect to either bunker down for a few days of tranquility, or use a - Very well equipped home, with everything one could hope for. Full kitchen with all the tools and gadgets. Very comfortable beds, great view and a great base camp to head out to the many beautiful spots in the area. A great walk into town (although that last hill coming back nearly broke me 😉. Can easily park at the bottom of the hill at the start of the boardwalk for those of us that are a little less fit!) Enjoyed the fire pit out the back. Struggled a bit with the pizza oven as there was heavy rain when we stayed and the wood was pretty damp. Kindling was supplied, but I’d recommend grabbing some dry wood from the General Store in town if you plan to use the oven. I just couldn’t get it up to temperature with the damp wood. wasn’t a problem though, as the oven inside did the job!) I’d recommend a stay here for anyone who likes peace and quiet in a comfortable setting.
• Qing (10/5): Cozy home with breathtaking views, we really enjoyed the stay - Such a cozy holiday home with a fantastic mountain view, fully equipped kitchen with everything we need for dinner. Books, DVDs were add on to the relaxing afternoon. Very quiet and just a few minutes drive to the town center
• Thambiraja (8/5): I’m really enjoying the area and view but annoying hot water, I have two shower morning and evening but I can’t showers - good location and nice view. The hot water is not enough only coming morning evening it’s not coming just cold water coming.
