• Vickie (4/5): Never again - Great location across from the beach and nice house with all facilities The upstairs gets very hot even on cool sunny days, and I made the mistake of opening the doors to cool it down. The property backs onto a lagoon, and there are no fly screens on any doors or windows. Had hardly any sleep for 4 nights being bitten by mosquitos. Even after the first night when we did not open any windows or doors and used the air conditioner to cool the house, they still got in. Spent the night swatting mozzies and being bitten. I am now on antibiotics for an infected bite on the neck. Completely exhausted and ruined the holiday, which is a shame as everything else is good. The standard of cleaning is poor as we found children's socks under 2 beds and a chip packet under the lounge.

• Paul (8/5): We were generally very happy with the property but the standard of cleanliness was very concerning. - Comfortable and quiet with a well appointed kitchen, close to things we wanted to do, plenty of wildlife around. Overall the property was very tidy, but we had some concerns about the cleaning and hygiene. The upstairs toilet had a stuck on skid mark, dishes were stuck together with food and some cutlery was dirty. The clothes dryer condenser drawer was full to overflowing and the lint basket was clogged. These are things a good cleaner should be addressing.

• jan (9/5): A beautifully appointed house near pristine Hansen Bay beach with fairy wrens and plovers in spring - The house was very comfortable and warm as it was very cold weather for our stay this November. Wonderful for two couples upstairs and down. Carolyn our host welcomed us which was very lovely of her. There were no basic ingredients to cook with eg. cooking oil for the bbque. A very small issue and we left a huge bottle of oil there as that was all we could get at the local IGA. We left a note about the upstairs TV not connecting from the dongle to the internet.

• JoP (9/5): Very comfortable house opposite the beach - Great location opposite the beach. We had wallabies and native birds in the yard most of the day. Beds were comfortable and with 2 bathrooms, facilities were great for 2 couples. Kitchen was very well appointed. Heating great over a cold and wintery weekend. Host was very responsive to queries. Would definitely recommend this house.

Though it is not a beach house, you can see the beach and the surrounding sights from the 2nd floor. I had a wonderful time catching glimpses of the neighborhood wild fowls and the endearing wallabies. The home is not only well furnished, the kitchen was extremely well equipped with modern appliances, cook ware and that made cooking a breeze. Carolyn had kindly stocked up on coffee capsules, tea and milk so we could immediately warm up with hot beverages when we arrived. She had also provided basic cooking ingredients, oil / salt / pepper. It was a wonderful stay with a beautiful host Nothing

It was warm and comfortable and nicely located close to the beach at Adventure Bay and far enough from the shop to be quiet. We loved the visits of the white wallabies and other wildlife.

Amazing view and very close to the beach and shop but still a quiet and peaceful part of Bruny. The host is wonderful to communicate with, responds quickly and extremely helpful and accommodating. The house is well stocked and you will find everything you could possibly need!

Spacious White albino wallabies grazed on the lawn in front! WiFi not quite up and running but didn’t affect us. Only lacked a large serving spoon!

• Robert (8/5): Ok except for mosquitoes. - House is across road from beach so was nice to hear the ocean. Facilities and rooms were all great with nice amenities. House has no fly screens at all which is a big problem in hotter months as behind the house is a creek with a lot of mosquitoes. We had 20 mosquitoes in our room going to bed with no insect spray in house. Lost a lot of sleep. Would have been good to have been made aware of this beforehand.

• Olivia (10/5): Beautiful family beach house - Carolyn very generously allowed us to stay an extra complimentary night given we had missed the ferry and missed our first night's stay, which we were hugely grateful for. Yolla is well-positioned, beautifully maintained, and feels loved. Beds were comfy and warm, with electric blankets throughout, and living areas were comfy and clean. Despite advertising that suggested no WiFi, we found Yolla does indeed have WiFi which allowed us to stream 'Bluey' for the kids, a definite win! Overall we had a really nice stay, and the kids loved it. Would definitely stay again. My only suggestion would be to add an outdoor hose/tap to rinse sand off wetsuits and beach toys, so we don't track sand inside. I hope we left it clean enough!

• Robyn (9/5): A great place to stay on Bruny Island. - The facilities in the house were very good. It had everything we needed. The location was close to Pennicott boat trip. View of the beach was only from the top floor. Advertised as "beach views" I thought it had beach views from the main area.

• Jeremiah (10/5): Comfortable and Delightful - The location gave us opportunity to experience exotic wildlife right outside our door. A white wallabi decided to drop by and say hi. The facilities in the house were thorough, was very convenient and blissful. The house was extremely clean, well presented and inviting in all aspects. The photos looked like there would be uninterrupted view of the beach, however there were houses in front of the house which impeded the full view of the beautiful shoreline.

• Diane (9/5): Superb - Loved the white and albino wallabies on the front lawn Perfect temperature inside on arrival High end kitchen appliances and well appointed everything was provided - very thoughtfully supplied with books, games, DVD's TV, washer/dryer/ironing board & Iron loved the tourist options on the island. One of our group went went on a Pennicott cruise; while the other 2 went to the community health centre -- excellent nursing care and GP via phone and had to drive to Calvary for medical tests and return to interact with 3rd person in our group. Blinds are not working properly and end up a pile on the floor and could be dangerous and trip over them. Probably could use a packet of band-aids for an accidental cut with a knife. Before leaving for our Bruny holiday we were in the middle of a big storm in NW Tasmania. We had no power, electric lines down, trees across the road and it was NOT possible to leave our property - I phoned and explained and requested a refund - this was not graciously understood nor accommodated.

• Barbara (10/5): We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Yolla House, we would highly recommend it. - The house was cozy and warm on arrival with a couple of lights on which was very welcoming as it was cold, windy, overcast and raining when we arrived. The location was excellent and we sipped wine enjoying views of the bay from the upstairs lounge room, whilst the wallabies fed on the front and back lawn. We were also close to the local shop for food supplies where the locals were very helpful and friendly. It was a peaceful and relacing few days, we went to sleep listening to the waves breaking and had time to read and go for walks and drives to nearby island locations. WIFI connection would have been a good addition, otherwise everything was perfect.

Outdoor table etc. Three bedrooms and an upstairs open area with sofa bed. Two bathrooms. Full kitchen (induction cook top not my favourite). Clean and comfortable. AC if needed. Laundry facilities. Not much. Would definitely stay again. Hate induction cooktops.....

Would also be brilliant if it had wifi as the service wasn’t very good in that area of Adventure Bay.

There were mosquitos and we bought some spray. The kitchen was missing a few things such as a large slotted serving spoon, a frying pan and a good wooden spoon.

Two bedrooms downstairs and another bedroom with a second sitting area upstairs. The home is very clean and comfortable We loved seeing the rabbits, a white wallaby and other animals wandering freely around the property. Nothing. It was a lovely home.

• Anita (9/5): was perfect for a couple get away. would be awesome for families as well. - perfect location. right across from the beach. house had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. the mozzies 🫣 unfortunately if you leave windows and doors open late afternoon and into the evening you will be invaded. it was warm during our stay. we were thankful for the AC.

The house could be cleaner for a house at this price-point. Hair dryer in main room was broken and dangerous, with inlet filter missing - my partners hair was sucked in and a chunk of hair and scalp pulled off - many tears! see photo!
