Nice and private and a beautiful location. Just magic It was no drama but perhaps a warning on the road to the house. Sport or road cars close to the ground would find it difficult. Once your there tough it’s worth it.

• Beverley (10/5): I would recommend this property to everyone who loves some isolation with bush and beach . - The road leading in was unsealed and some pot holes and we didn't arrive until 8pm and it was dark but it was worth the effect as the house was beautiful in a unique location . Very hard to explain just how great it was . Views of beach and ocean from everywhere . Walks to the beach and a great lookout all on the same property . Isolated but awesome . The owner left us some Bubbly which we loved and had with our chips and few savories as we weren't able to get any food due to shops closing at 5PM . We shopped next day then stayed in and enjoyed this unique place . We loved the fireplace and also the spacious home . Lots of games and books and even a large telescope which we could not work but no worries as I had bought my own binoculars. They did supply a pair of binocular as well . Good supplies of coffee and tea and oil and salt and pepper . Plenty of cooking pans and a BBQ . This house was off the grid but no worries .

• Richard (7/5): Good - Location was so private and amazing!! There were some mice inside unfortunately and the hot water didn’t work for the last 24 hours of our stay. The host was apologetic though.
• Burton (9/5): Superb - View was gorgeous. Bed was very comfy. We were very relaxed and felt at home! I just would have liked a queen or King bed rather than a double, however the bed was very comfy. Maybe some extra board games too!
• Glenda (10/5): An Wonderful Off-Grid Experience - Located in a secluded bay south of Bicheno we drove along a well maintained track through the National Park. A locked gate limits access to the area which meant we were were able to walk the beach undisturbed. Expansive windows make the most of a rugged coatal landscape. The property is off-grid but you would barely realise it. Almost all the mod-cons provided (the exception being a microwave oven, dishwasher and aircon). With the delightful sea breeze, it was a pleasure to relax knowing that our eco footprint was minimised. Wifi, TV, and an otherwise fully equipped kitchen made our stay very comfortable. Our host provided some local honey and bottle of champagne. For a winter warmer there is a freestanding wood heater with a good supply of firewood. Make sure you stock up with food supplies as there are no nearby shops or hotels.

• Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about Silver Moon was exceptional, we enjoyed 3 amazing days and nights enjoying the beautiful home, beach walks and nature walks in blissful privacy! Just a superb place to stay and unwind, enjoy the surroundings but easy to access beautiful Bicheno and surrounding areas. Lovely to have wildlife right on the doorstep or nearby...birds, seals, echidnas and wallabies! Perfect hideaway! Great host, generous with his home grown delicious veggies and honey also! There is nothing not to love about this stay!!

The property had everything that we needed, the views were spectacular. The road in had lots of pot holes, but we were warned.

• Sarah (4/5): Beautiful location for the warmer months - This property is in a beautiful remote location, with lovely ocean views. It has been set up to provide almost everything you need for a few days off the grid for any season apart from winter. In the end we cut our stay here short. The only heating available in the property is the beautiful wood fire, which is at the opposite end of the house from the bedroom. There is no other heating in the property, which for us resulted in a very cold winter night. While I can understand the challenges of heating an off grid property, not having additional heating seems short sighted.

• Xinrui (10/5): I enjoy the private beach so much and really want to come back if the road will be in a better condition. - It was a cottage from outside but palace from inside. The decorations and furniture are beautiful. The view of the private beach is stunning. It has a lot of condiments in the kitchen for cooking. The place is just one slide away from the beach, with white sand and all to yourself. Quite, isolated, and beautiful, and with Wi-Fi and smart tv, what can you ask for more? The way in and out is kind of off-road, probably take 20 min to half an hour if you drive carefully enough. I guess that’s what comes with the stunning view and private beach. The direction given by the host is pretty straightforward though.

• Anne (9/5): We were blown away by this property - Absolutely stunning location and lots of privacy, stylish It was difficult to get to the location. Half an hour driving on a dirt road, very bumpy
• Adam (10/5): My wife and I really loved the whole experience of the property and its surroundings. - The location and the comfort of the property. So peaceful. Not enough fly screens on the windows so you could only open a few to one side of the property. The TV was in a spot that you have to turn a chair right around and if another person wants to watch from the couch the view and comfort was not the best.

It was a very stressful journey there and out of there! The hire car got scratched and underneath the car got scratched too, just glad the car didn’t get stuck on the road! Also when we arrived there was a mouse in the property!

• Marisa (7/5): Good - The location and the accomodation. Such a restful location. Upon arrival it was a nightmare to get hold of anyone to assist with access to the property as we were given an incorrect pin for the key box.
