Guest Reviews
- Sheree (8/5): - Comfortable and homely.
- Ran (10/5): - 非常不错的环境,花园花也漂亮,强烈推荐👍
- Chun Kit (7/5):
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Fiona (7/5): - Location No security screens so could not leave windows open for air flow/cooling
- Maria (6/5): Good and quiet - Breakfast and variety was fantastic Uncomfortable bed
- Glenys (10/5): - Location, the facilities, cleanliness & breakfast supplies & being able to park the car behind gates. Nothing
- Sasha (10/5): A wonderful house in beautiful Tasmania - Everything! It was a perfect stay - the house is large and it has every amenitiy you could need to stay in this area comfortably.
Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful.
There is a supermarket and a coffee shop within walking distance.
- Neil (8/5): -
- Peter (10/5): Convenient location for Sheffield based activities. - Cleanliness, comfort, breakfast provisions, great location Nothing comes to mind.
- rebecca (8/5): Historical house, warm and cozy, close to town, amenities and sightseeing. - Another historical house with huge yard. Close to town and sights.
- Neburnum96 (10/5): - Great to have breakfast ingredients available eggs milk bread chocolate on the table much appreciated. The location was good right in town easy walking distance to shops, pub and attractions. Security was also good. Shampoo conditioner and body wash was great. Would stay here again had everything you could possibly need. No smart Tv
- Anthony (10/5): Great location and friendly staff. - Great location, nice facilities. N/A
- Ray (9/5): Cosy & convenient Cottage - Lovely cottage..convenient to Steam park (we were vendors at Medieval Festival).
Rooms & beds were great. Great amenities.
Thankyou very much for the hospitality. Thin & old towels...in every room. Shower had mold in the edges (maybe in the caulking?) Otherwise it was all great.
- Sean Hodges 153 (9/5): A perfect place to recover from the Overland Track - I booked this property for my daughter and I to recover after doing the Overland Track. It turned out to be perfect for the task. We received details of how to get in, and succeeded after some initial confusion (the code worked but the gate wouldn't open, until I realised you have to pull before pushing).
The house was spacious, warm, clean and very comfortable. There were good washing facilities, which was brilliant as I had a mountain of dirty clothes from the Track. I managed to get everything clean and dry before leaving in the morning.
If we had spent longer in the property I'm sure we would have made good use of the shuffle-puck game in the back!
Everything was provided for cooking, and a range of stuff for breakfast. I was delighted to find eggs and bread in the fridge. We had a nice dinner in the Sheffield Hotel just along the road.
Sheffield is a lovely little town, famous for murals painted everywhere. I has some spectacular views, and we even met the old bearded chap with his pet alpaca! I can't think of anything :-)
- Anderson (9/5): Love the stay and would stay again. - Loved the homey feel and the character charm. We disconnected bit and had a few rounds of air hockey. The place was clean. Beds were comfortable as. Great location being on the Main Street. Loved the breakfast as well. The tap in the bathroom, just the cold tap doesn’t really have any water pressure.
- Lynne (9/5): - Close to shops and restaurants comfy couches breakfast provisions comfy beds Needs a bit of a tidy up with broken blinds
- Cathy (9/5): Comfortable and great location - Comfortable character cottage with great location and facilities required. Breakfast provisions were wonderful Towels were a bit thin but did the job okay
- Lorraine (8/5): - The location was perfect. The little extras provided by the host were lovely. (The heating on for our arrival, breakfast , bread etc. )
Beds were comfortable and there were no unexpected surprises. Nothing really.
- Mary (8/5): Comfortable home with lovely garden at the fabulous mural rich town of Sheffield - Really liked the generosity of goodies for our enjoyment n staple food items as well as well good kitchen utensils for cooking Thought security codes tricky n unnecessary for gate lock, we were concerned we'd be locked out
- Jewadah (10/5): Beautiful Sheffield nine- nine in an amazing town - Absolutely nothing to fault,we were welcomed to a lovely warm home, they had previously put the heaters on before we arrived. Having a washing machine on the premises was very useful, especially when travelling between hotel stays and not having access to a washer. I would recommend staying more than one night as the home and Sheffield have so much to offer. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't stay longer, as i was time restricted. The home was so beautiful, i was disappointed i had to leave so soon. The Sheffield town was also amazing. Definitely, both the home and town deserved at least a 3 day stop over.
- Fire (9/5): warm cosy house in good location - very easy access, clear instructions for entry.
home was warm and tidy.
well stocked kitchen and pantry
- Gayle (9/5): Highly recommend stopping off here after a day exploring the area. - Lovely cottage, made us feel very welcome and at home.
- Deniece (8/5): - Great location
- Dallys (10/5): - Perfect dog friendly, exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chantal (9/5): Wished we could have had a few more nights there. Very nice and Michelle was very accomodating. - Very clean and well appointed. It was very handy to everything. Lovely little homely things for the guests. The only negative is the mattress on double bed in the 2nd room was uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect
- Maureen (10/5): Gem of a place. - Beautiful cottage.Great shower, Comfortable bed,Breakfast provided and the place was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Thanks for the chocolate too. Nothing.
- Chiao-chien (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable
- Robyn (9/5): A great stay n a quiet town with close proximity to lots of walking opportunities. - It was great to have some basic supplies provided for breakfast and snacks.
- Blake (9/5): This is a lovely place to stay, warm, quiet and comfortable. Will stay again. - Ease of access, location and comfort. Nothing really - the shower take a bit to get hot water but apart from that it is a fabulous place to stay and we will be back again.
- Karen (10/5): Sheffield 99 is a score of 99. - This accommodation exactly suited our needs with the host giving very good communication. The lovely extras like eggs, bread, chocolates were an absolute bonus and greatly appreciated. Would recommend.
- Ewa (8/5): comfortable - loved the heated bed!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reinhold (8/5): Very good - Well located for access to Cradle Mountain and walking distance to the centre of town for shopping and meals.
- Deborah (9/5): Highly recommend for comfort and convenience. - Very comfortable and spacious for 2 people but would be fine for 2 couples or a family. The kitchen facilities were fine and the breakfast provisions were ample.
The location is fantastic. Within easy walking distance of places to eat - we ate at the hotel one night and the RSL Club the next. Coffee places and the IGA store also very convenient.
We thought Sheffield was a lovely town - the murals are well worth seeing. There are lovely drives in the area.and it is a very picturesque route to Cradle Mountain. We chose to stay in Sheffield due to its proximity to Cradle Mountain (~1 hour by car) and we were very happy with our choice of accommodation.
We also met Pedro the alpaca on our way to coffee one morning. Nothing major. Would like to have coffee other than instant (eg plunger), but then I guess we wouldn’t have had a lovely coffee at Black Smith Cafe and Grill!
- Vicki (7/5): Over all fine, getting in and out stressful - Breakfast fine used eggs for dinner second night , used bread for toast, no cereal. Comfortable stay. The security code thing on gate is very difficult, takes two people to hold top in and another with a foot underneath to bring lock in close enough to lock. Maybe wood warped. Also had to phone for correct code for front door box, had been given another number. Lady on phone said “they always give wrong one”
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yen (8/5): Very good - Excellent location as a base to Cradle Mountain. The host could have been more patience when I made my query with her on the day of arrival.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Brilliant stay - Spacious rooms and full self catering facilities. The breakfast supplies were brilliant. A good stop off for exploring Cradle Mt. Nothing
- Wasana (8/5): Very good -
- Jocelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great location , nice cosy house . Chocolates and biscuits always a winner 🏆
- Phil (9/5): Sheffield 99 - Accommodation was excellent, beds were comfortable and the electric blankets were very useful as it got down to 3 degrees one night. The provision of milk, eggs, bread and cereal was also very welcome. Great to have a garden and parking space just outside - although we could have used the drive as well. The dishwasher wasn't working properly so we washed up instead.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dita (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (7/5): Great for pet owners who have trouble finding accomodation and generally OK - The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was close to shops the event we were attending It was so noisy! The trucks started at 4am! Not the owners fault but had I known I would not have booked. Also not being a pet owner I could tell it was pet friendly. Even though I knew that before booking, I didn’t expect it to be obvious. All in all, it was OK but wouldn’t choose it again. A great option for pet owners though.
- Kuanting (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely house
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy comfortable little cottage No dryer or Pegs for washing
- Simone (9/5): Lovely comfortable cottage - Lovely little cottage, well presented, all the comfort of home. Brekkie supplies were appreciated
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (10/5): Cozy cottage - Great cottage. Fully fenced and secure parking so perfect if you have pets. Walking distance to shops. Clean, comfy beds, warm and cozy. Needs new TV remote.
- Lizbeth (9/5): Superb - Nice, cosy, and comfortable. Plenty of breakfast food was provided. We would have liked an extra blanket each.
- Coral (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, secure and very welcoming.
Was able to accommodate us at last minute. Nothing really
- Wen (10/5): Exceptional - Fully equipped kitchen, minutes walk to town centre!
- Kah (9/5): Cradle mountain day trip - The location, the facilities provided by host, they have everything you will need. nothing, if i need to say something its the 1st wooden gate, need to push a little before you can enter
- Colleen (8/5): Great - Location It was a bit cool in the back of house . It’s winter though so expected cool.
- Liz (9/5): Great place to stay to explore the town and locality - Breakfast was very welcome Vertical Blinds in bedroom 2 broken
- Cam (10/5): Great spot, cute little house right in town. Host was great and very good with communication. Thanks - Michelle was great - excellent communication and access into property was easy.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Farque2 (8/5): Thank you 99. - Very comfortable & relaxing home. Great location, walking distance to town. Great murals everywhere. Great view of Cradle Mountain. Garden required maintenance. Vacuum very dirty/clogged up, not cleaned enough.
- Luigi (8/5): Very good -
- Rohan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (9/5): Lovely house in Sheffield - All of the above. Very responsive owners and generous with a special request. A few more tea bags for arrival
- Julie (8/5): Home away from home. Thoroughly recommend. - The house was clean and comfortable. Host included lots of nice extras. Nothing I didn’t like
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lay (9/5): Superb -
- Jemaba (8/5): Very good location overall, scenic and would return. - Location is central to what we wanted. The local Tourist Information Centre was great and we used it on a number of occasions for short walks locally and in town. Ate in town at the local RSL on a couple of times, well attended, good range of food, reasonably priced. Good bakery and lots of good choices for lunch. The property has been renovated to a good standard for a country town with good security. Bathroom needs some very minor plumbing adjustments. The owner has been notified as to the taps. The front and main bedroom can be noisy at times. We used the 2nd main bedroom and we were fine.
- Hilary (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (10/5): Very Comfortable Accommodation in a Great Location - Michelle was very proactive with communication in making sure everything was in order and provided all the info we needed. The house is nicely decorated, clean and tidy and the breakfast provisions provided were very generous. We slept in the middle bedroom to be away from the road and also closer to the bathroom. The single room made a great spot for our suitcases. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The heating was also very effective. We didn't use the outdoor facilities but the garden is quite large and well set up for anyone with a dog or small children. Overall a great stay. For anyone struggling to find a meal when the restaurants are shut we can recommend the Simply Tasty meals from the IGA - we are pretty fussy about food but these were very tasty and easy to heat in the microwave, There was nothing that spoiled our stay and we would definitely stay again, but I would like to suggest a blind for the bathroom window (I used a towel) even though it is not really overlooked. The shower silicone sealing needs replacing due to mould discoloration. Finally a door to close off the laundry and games area in winter would be more effective for heating.
- Matilda (7/5): Good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Well renovated house on Main St. Great location. Surprised by the full breakfast and stocked kitchen provided.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - The food supplied was a great extra
- Larry (8/5): Great spot - It had everything you needed The mould in the shower
- Jetstream (9/5): Stress free - All aspects of property were homely and inviting. Fully fenced for a dog and well maintained. All facilities were clean and a very cosy atmosphere. There were food supplies more than most that we have been to previously. Nothing to report
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maree (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - very generous and welcoming hosts
- Lauren (10/5): A homely and inviting stay! - The added editions e.g. timtams, milk, eggs, bread and butter and toiletries. The air hockey table and games were fun features too! No full size mirrors or full covering on bathroom window
- Bernard (8/5): Very good -
- Florence (10/5): very comfortable - plenty of room and comfortable beds. great location for exploring Sheffield and Cradle Mountain. Lovely back garden to relax in. road at front could be a little noisy during the day
- Damian (9/5): Superb -
- Bronwyn (10/5): Stayed 2 nights and was able to walk to all the venues where functions were held. - Extremely clean n well set up. Good area for my dog to roam. Property is very secure. Suggestion: a long mirror somewhere would be handy.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Partridge (9/5): Very comfortable and welcoming - I liked that this accommodation was pet friendly. The house was warm and cosy when we arrived. We had great communication from the owner who checked in with us via text at check-in and checkout. Some breakfast items and snacks were provided which we weren't expecting which was a lovely surprise. The games and puzzles provided were also an added nice touch. Nothing really. Could do with an extra towel rail in the bathroom, but this didn't impact our stay in any way.
