Guest Reviews
- Margaret (8/5): Cute cottage with charm - Cute cottage Bath very deep to step into ( maybe needs a wall handle).
- Kathryn (8/5): -
- Janet (8/5): Very enjoyable stay close to town - Cottage charm just as advertised Nothing
- Hilary (9/5): - Well located, close to Leura town and train as well as hiking trails!
Well set up house that felt comfortable and lots of lovely places to relax.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Really very peaceful and cosy. - Setting was just lovely as was the surrounding area however the cottage itself is not the 150 meters from the main street of Leura as promoted on the website and there were several inclines of varying degrees that were a genuine challenge with a heart condition. Once inside the cottage, the vintage feel was evident and motivated us to just enjoy the quiet comfort it provided. The cottage is also well maintained and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. I will definitely revisit but will ensure I drive so as not to have to combat those hills every outing. The difficulty in opening the lock box for the screen door which wasn't locked as it happened. The digital code was easy and convenient.
Niets
- Barbara (9/5): The perfect place to stay in the Blue Mountains! - Loved all the trees -- in blossom! It's a double property, with a beautiful garden. It took us a while to work out the heating/cooling. Instructions could have been clearer.
Ditto the DVD player.
- Margaret (9/5): Very pleasant little cottage -
- Nathan (10/5): We loved everything about this property and fully intend to return. - The character of the house, the decor and the care for our comfort.
Everything you might need was there and the water pressure was great too. We should have stayed longer - that’s on us, not you.
- Mary (9/5): Very enjoyable & plenty of heating for winter - Location & facilities Bathroom needs updating
- Raeleene (9/5): Superb - It was cute, colourful, and comfortable.
We loved the fire 🔥 and its close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Leura It only had one toilet
- Alan (9/5): Would have stayed an extra week if we could. - Close to everything and a cute little house in a lovely garden.
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (7/5): Lovely cottage close to Leura Village - Comfortable cottage suitable for a small family, IG hot water, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen with everyday appliances and coffee machine, fireplace, heaters and a/c, walking distance to Leura Village and Lyrebird Den walking track. Lounge was very small with only seating for 3. Little natural light through lounge and dining areas. Suitable for no more than 3-4 people.
- Sam (7/5): Enjoyable family first trip to Leura. - Great location, well stocked and spacious.
- Joanne (7/5): Quirky little cottage in a quiet neighbourhood - It is in a very quiet area It was very dark and the lighting for reading or doing makeup was not sufficient
- Ivy (9/5): Superb - Cosy and quaint. Beds were very comfy, and kitchen was well stocked. Gorgeous garden.
- Richard (10/5): Very comfortable cottage can’t wait to return soon - The cottage had everything you could possibly need Small brown wardrobe in main bedroom has a really bad smell inside it.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Sashe (8/5): A Blue Mountain's charmer, would be lovely on a foggy night with the fire. Perfect location. - The cottage needs a little more airflow to stay super fresh.
- Nicholson, (10/5): Because it rained a lot, it meant that we had to stay indoors more than we would normally have done. However the decor, - It is small but so well equipped and certainly we fitted in quite well. There are so many extra touches to the place that made it quite special the kinds of shampoo in the bathroom the quality of everything in the kitchen was remarkable. I have stayed at many many places in Katoomba Blackheath and Leura and I have never had a better kitchen. I would have liked two toilets.
- Jillian (8/5): Would stay again - The beds were very comfy
- Carmel (9/5): Would stay at this property again in a heart beat :) - Everything especially the old world feel with a modern twist
- Annette (10/5): Cherry Tree cottage is in an ideal location, very warm and cosy which was needed when a weekend turns out to be misty &a - The location was ideal for walking around the area. The cottage was very clean and inviting. The cottage was a great place to relax and hang with friends on what ended up being a very wet and cold weekend Can’t think of anything that we complained about. As I said above ideal place to stay.
- Rachael (7/5): Good -
- Combe (8/5): Very good - Cute and well set up cottage. Appreciated the open fire! Very cosy. Lovely garden. Having to pay $300 damages fee up front is a bit much! Also, you think it is free cancellation, but it's not! We changed cottages because one person couldn't come, so we found a smaller cottage but had to pay a cancellation fee.
Otherwise,?it was a wonderful few days!
- Sunner (9/5): Very happy with our accommodation choice. - We travelled in middle of winter so appreciated all of the heating options. A delightful small cottage that suited our family of three perfectly! It was excellent value for money, so there was nothing to not like.
- Michele (10/5): A delightful cozy old world cottage a perfect mountain retreat - A unique , cozy quiet cottage within walking distance to Leura . My family loved the old world decor . Beds were super comfy and layout provided privacy . Loved the well stocked kitchen and library full of books DVDs games and CDs .
- Tammie (9/5): Superb - Very quaint cottage, well decorated, excellent location to get into town and hiking Heat was not on when we arrived and it took hours to warm the house.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little cottage, perfect for a weekend getaway!
- Cassie (9/5): Superb -
- Vanessa (8/5): A cosy and convenient stay in the heart of Leura - Cherry Tree Cottage is a gorgeous, cosy stay only a 5 minute walk to Leura Mall. They street is very peaceful, and the location is also fantastic for entering the national park nearby to do hikes. All the decor is very quaint, and once we had the various heating systems going is was very snug. The garden is lovely, and there are great views outside every window. We highly recommend the cottage fro those looking for a quiet, comfortable base for exploring the mountains.
- Robyn (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (9/5): Loved it and will definitely recommend it to others. - It was a beautiful quirky little cottage that was perfect for us. The combustion fire was very rustic and added to the ambience. Our main objective was to do the cliff top walk so the location was perfect. Also close enough to walk to the Main Street. One very minor issue - the hot tap in the kitchen was broken.
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Beautiful cottage with very cute interiors and stunning location. Kitchen very well equipped.
- Vicki (8/5): Our home away from home - Great position in the beautiful Blue Mountains
Close to all the well known walking tracks
Everything you could need in a home away from home Would have benefited from a clothes horse or clothes line for our washing
- Margaret (6/5): It was a convenient location for our stay in Leura - It was clean and the beds were comfy Dark interior a little claustrophobic.
- Kiri (10/5): On the whole, a very cosy and relaxingly nostalgic cottage. A return trip is a definite - Breakfast: we brought our own food but variety of coffee facilities is excellent. Catering/kitchen facilities is like a home away from home. Nothing found wanting!
Location: a leisurely walk into (Leura) town. Very conveniently close and you never know you're so close! If provision could be made to have plug-in dim lighting so we don't have to have to switch on lights for the dazed walk to the toilet at night. And oh, a clothes airers or two with pegs being available would be good as we of the energy saving variety who don't like using clothes dryers.
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (7/5): Good - The ease of getting around the house was hard for Mum who has a walker
- Andrew (9/5): Thank you - Good location. We enjoyed sitting in the garden. More fly screens would be great. A fan in the back room would be great.
There was a smokey smell in the house after it had been locked up each day.
I presume this is part of the Fireplace issue.
We did have VERY windy days that were probably blowing down the Chimney
- Judi (9/5): Bucket list , Leura cottage with cosy wood fire, unfortunately not working, but substantial alternative heating provided - The location was great, close to everything. Quaint and cosy This was a partner booking. It was not stated clear enough that a $300 refundable bond would be taken!! It’s was refunded promptly, but needs to be made more clear. This was a first ever bond grab through Booking.Com
- Margaret (6/5): Pleasant -
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (9/5): A lovely sisters stay. - Pretty much everything. Lots of lovely spots to sit in the very large garden. The house is very well stocked. Loads of crockery, and cooking appliances. and well stocked pantry. House lovely and warm with electric blankets, great wood fire and airconditioning. Bedrooms are not large but adequate and beds comfortable. Very cosy cottagey decor which we loved.
Good shower and plently of hot water. Very quiet area. Would recommend this property There wasnt much we disliked about the property except toilet door needs attention, and this was mentioned in previous reviews and some champagne glasses would have been appreciated. Apart from these minor things the house was perfect.
We would have liked Booking.com to include all the extra stripe payments in the costing, like some other accommodation platforms do. I realize they are mentioned in the fine print but would rather see full cost in the advertised rental charge. We had a few issues with the Management company but they were rectified quickly and amicably. Would definitely stay in this house again.
- Sonia (9/5): Warm, comfortable homely cottage, cant wait to return. - Cherry Tree cottage is a beautiful property, warm comfortable with x2 split systems, a wood fire, x3 electric oil heaters. The beds were superb, linen luxurious, crisp and good quality. Kitchen was well stocked, with a coffee machine and good selection of quality teas. Considerate owners who ensure that there is nothing more you could want. The location is on a quiet street, a short walk to Leura shops, restaurants and numerous tourist attractions. I cant wait to return. Shower over bathtub which was difficult to step into without a handrail.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (10/5): a wonderful visit, would like to return in the future! - great location, clean, cozy nothing
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (8/5): It’s a beautiful comfortable and super convenient close to everything. we would definitely stay again - the home was fabulous right up our alley. every one of us enjoyed staying there. the garden was beautiful too. the toilet could be updated and also we were all women, it would have been great if you had a full length mirror somewhere in there.
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional - It was very quaint & comfortable
Also it was just what we were looking for for our trip The way the property feedback was very confusing as to what you had actually booked
- Leona (9/5): Superb - Well equipped, beautiful furnishing, great location to the local sites in a quiet street, with a large yard to relax in the afternoons. We greatly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. All correspondence with the host is remote via messages and emails which is difficult when traveling.
- Loy (5/5): Disappointing - Not much The gas stove was old but they did supply a box of matches to light it. Oven did not work.Cistern was concrete with high chain pull, not suitable for children. Property is unsuitable for any disabilities.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Lovy home in a great location. we’re made to feel a little uncomfortable from the renting agent as we were bombarded wit - wry cute and very clean a bit smaller than expected. toilet door kept coming off the slider.
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Nice comfortable, great location. Bathroom door was not working. Light bulb out in lounge room light stand.
- Simone (10/5): we absolutely loved it and we will be back!!! thanks for having us! 💗 - this is the cutest house ever!!!! the style is cuteness overload everywhere you look!!
- Janele (9/5): Quaint and comfortable cottage. - Love the location, the gardens, the decor. The property was well equipped.
- Yumiko (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (7/5): Enjoyed Laura and the cottage overall - Emails from the administrators could be regarded as very efficient, but also slightly off putting with implied threats around legal requirements and departure requirements. For a mature family on a short break this seemed somewhat over the top. A friendlier/softer style would be far better. Also we had a cleaner enter the property on the first morning at 9.30 to drop some j cloths. Which although ok as we were up, was entirely unnecessary and felt intrusive for such a minor task.
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Noelene (9/5): I realise owners trying to keep house in the era of its build but a new toilet would improve the place greatly - cosy , comfortable beds, clean and central to everything could do with a toilet upgrade, and fire wood only lasted 1 night, when people stay 3 nights it should be available for 3 nights
- Julia (10/5): A warm, creative, cosy cottage that feels like home. - A lovely cosy little cottage. Beautiful gardens that light up at night with fairy lights. All you could need for your stay.
- Kathy (9/5): Had a lovely stay in the cottage which was warm, cosy and welcoming - The fact there were no keys, just a door code lock, hassle free nothing
- Arpita (10/5): Exceptional -
