Guest Reviews
- Wendy (10/5): Terata suited our needs perfectly : quite warm and comfortable! - Severn-dipity (Terata) was an excellent property for our needs. We were a group of bird watchers so were able to visit Girraween NP daily and also bird on the property especially at The Beach on the banks of the Severn River. The house was well set up and Noeleen ensured we North Queenslanders were warmed up with wood for the fire, electric blankets and heaters in bedrooms. Noeleen’s muffins were an added bonus! Nothing
- Daria (10/5): Will definitely return - Beautiful house in a peaceful location with great views and lively hostess
- Ritzbell (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): A great escape in the countryside! - Great location for exploring the National Park, wineries and the area. Well appointed cabin, wonderful and quiet location in the bush and a fantastic host! N/A
- Paulene (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing. - Location was a bush setting, quiet and peaceful. The owner was very helpful and friendly and provided hot muffins the first morning of our stay. I enjoyed having a shower and looking out at birds in the grass outside. Secluded and private and close to activities we were interested in. Good kitchen.
- Brian (9/5): Very relaxing and secluded location for a short stay. Well-equipped cottage and lovely host. - Very secluded location and lovely cottage. Friendly host.
Maybe a little further out of town than we expected and hence more expensive and harder to get a taxi etc but a beautiful, natural environment. Very relaxing.
No TV which is fantastic! Nothing....was a great location for a short and relaxing break.

- Catherine (8/5): A serene relaxing location - Love the pathway down to the river. Also loved the little mouse sculpture/model on the bedroom balcony. Lots of thoughtful touches, binoculars, board games. Loved it all
- Amy (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing - The peace and the tranquility of the property. The design of the cabin was also very nice. And Thanks for the muffins Noelene!
- Ian (9/5): -
- Helena (10/5): A fantastic stay in a lovely farm house. - A lovely little farm house. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely birds and animals. It had a lovely kitchen with everything we could need. Lovely verandas all around the house. Very peaceful place.
- McGlashan (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Peaceful setting in restored farmhouse with all mod cons. - Beautiful restored and extended farmhouse in the heart of the country but still a close drive to Ballandean. Host, Noelene, visited on the first afternoon to make us welcome and return the next morning with freshly baked muffins and the newspaper ! Ballandean pub and restaurant was a short drive away for dinner. Loved the freedom to walk and explore the property. Particularly good for birdwatching and a close encounter with a wild sow and her piglets. Some initial confusion over the two properties in the location - we had only seen the name Severndipity on Booking.com but were actually booked into Terata ! This was sorted out but needs to be clearer on website.
- Judy (9/5): Very relaxing.nice today from the city - The house is lovely and very comfortable. Noeleen was a great host.
The wildlife is wonderful. It was so nice to hear frogs chirping and see the kangaroos in the field.
- Wan (10/5): Perfect stay in a tranquil country setting. - The style and comfort of the property. Country charm. Close to girraween National Park and wineries. Host was warm and welcoming and the muffins were delicious. Nothing
- Candida (10/5): A great escape in a beautiful location. - The property was beautiful and I loved being surrounded by bush land. It made the experience extremely relaxing and calm. I would have like a tv
- Lauren (9/5): A lovely retreat. - Property exceeded our expectations. The location was great and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
- Rozanne (10/5): Exceptional - House clean, comfortable and suited our needs. The fire was great and so was sitting out on the patio morning and evening. Host very informative and we loved The Beach. The Muffins were delicious. Thank you. 😊 All great.
- Juse01 (10/5): Peaceful, private house with a stunning view. 20min to Stanthorpe. - Perfect privacy! We couldn't see any other houses. Kitchen was fully equipped, wood fired pizza oven, immaculately clean bbq. Very charming - it is better than the photos. Large living room with fireplace. Large fenced yard, small dogs may squeeze under gate, but you could probably find a log to deal with that - fortunately mine was too occupied just exploring the huge yard. Both afternoons, we glimpsed kangaroos (on the downhill side). 4 balconies, 2 bathrooms, 2 Queen size beds, and 2 Single beds. Beside the house is a vegetable farm and occasionally the farmer would turn up to attend to the crop. The host was always accessible to answer questions and offer tips for places to visit. Lots of thoughtful touches. The place was immaculately clean. 3 bay undercover carport. Although it is on the south side of Stanthorpe, you are nearby to lots of wineries, great walks, a cafe with good lunches/coffee. And it's only about 20-30min drive to Stanthorpe or other attractions. We struggled to deal with the water on the open plan bathroom floor - perhaps some sort of squeegie mop to push it down the drain?
- Karyn (9/5): Perfect country getaway, great host. Dog friendly. Very clean. Lovely furnishings. - Location fabulous. Beautiful and well appointed home. Peaceful. Spacious. Lovely outlook. nothing
- Sophia (10/5): Exceptional - Everything such as good location, great value for family and pets, clean facilities, private house, friendly staff,etc..... Nil
- Taylor (8/5): Very good - The location was great, especially when we explored the property and found the river and beach The little native animal in the roof that was noisy one night of our stay. The host had warned us so we expected it
- Robert (10/5): Absolutely loved the place and the location just set the mood for a lovely stay - I loved the quiet and the location the Road leading down to the property was a bit rough
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing. Extremely clean. Very unique cabin, in a good way. Two bathrooms. Fresh muffins and newspaper delivered in the morning.
- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely the most perfect place to unwind. Such a gorgeous property. Will come back one day. - Owner met us at the property and showed us through. She was welcoming and friendly and told us she'd return in the morning with some freshly baked muffins. Gorgeous property to unwind with family for a few days before Christmas.
- Kate (8/5): Very good - We loved Terata house - beautifully furnished farm house in a lovely location. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The fridge was not working during our stay so this made it difficult for us to manage meals for 6 people every day/night. Communication from the host during our stay could have been a lot better.
- Alana (9/5): An exceptionally tranquil property perfect for our family getaway. - The personal attention from noleen was really appreciated. The house itself was a beautiful surprise as it is much bigger than the photos suggest. We loved how well it was fenced for our kids and dog and greatly appreciate that we could allow our dog inside when necessary. It was such a relaxing space to be. Beds weren’t particularly comfortable. That’s the only downside.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Peaceful location The shower head could be better
- Kathy (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay allowing good access to wineries. - The serenity of the location. The house retained the original features but with great modern updates. Nothing.
- Zoe (8/5): Quiet and comfortable spot to relax for a few days. - It is in a very quiet and peaceful spot. The place was clean and comfortable. Fresh baked muffins delivered on the first morning was a nice touch.
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melinda (9/5): Extremely relaxing location. Perfect getaway for couples or families. - Exceptional location, access to the river is a huge bonus. Cottage has a very relaxing feel. Highly recommend this spot if you enjoy being away from others. Instructions on how to use things need to be updated or provided just to make the stay more relaxing Eg sauna and electric blinds
- Bruce (10/5): Great stay, perfect location to disconnect and recharge the batteries. -
- Liam (9/5): A relaxing base to explore Ballandean and take in the beautiful surroundings. - Some lovely views from the property. TV could have been easier to use - but this is a minor quibble.
- Nayanar (10/5): Peaceful stay with lovely views, beautiful antique furniture and warm cosy fires. - Serene location, beautiful furniture and fittings, cosy fire, comfy beds, warm heaters, helpful host, impeccably clean, well-stocked kitchen, delicious muffins! Cannot think of anything they could have done better.
- Hoda (9/5): Superb -
- Priya (10/5): Loved it so much went to the pub for dinner our puppy loved running around the property - Love the muffin which was dropped off by Noaleen The possums was making noise up on the roof all night
- Drean (10/5): Exceptional -

quite
Wildlife swimming hole was good Verandah needs minor repairs
- Michael (10/5): The perfect base for a relaxing stay in one of Australia's best wine regions. - The location is awesome for those wanting a quiet getaway close to the Granite Belts' best wineries (Ballandean, Golden Grove, Tobin, Bangawarra, Bents Road and many more, all 5 - 10 minutes away). The host Noeleen, was lovely and really cared about her property which showed in the facilities provided. The thought of leaving and returning to work.
- Steve (6/5): A pleasant home for a short stay - The surroundings were amazing and it was so close to everything in the Ballandean area. Lovely walk to the Severndipity Beach. The layout of the house was perfect for two couples. The host was very approachable and helpful prior to arriving. We were most disappointed that the house did not match any of the pictures on the website. This was very misleading. The home was very dusty and dated.
- Eboni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (8/5): We had a great relaxing time away and Noelene very helpful and friendly. We would stay again. - Noelene bought us warm muffins our first morning.

- Ed (8/5): Thank you very much Noelene for a lovely stay and for the muffins! - Lovely location, quiet little cabin in the woods. Could do with more heaters. The two small heaters provided weren’t enough to keep the bedrooms warm.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): the ideal get away from the hustle and bustle of life in the fast lane. No television 📺 was perfect !!! - the remoteness and quiet 🤫 of the bush setting with native animals and birds was just what was needed
- Rich (7/5): Good -
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Cathryn (10/5): Fantastic! Friendly and welcoming - it was lovely we could travel with our pup and it is not an issue.
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - We booked a modern cabin at this location but on arrival discovered the accommodation was a renovated farm house. (Photos did not match the property) The farm house was fine with everything we needed but it was not what we had booked. We were told the cabin had a leaking roof! ***If booking this property please make sure you confirm which property you are booking before arrival.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Local WiFi
- Kristin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, quiet and perfect starting point for trips around Stabthorpe and Girraween NP.
- Alley (7/5): Good - It's a lovely house!! Quiet peaceful and relax place I can't able to use the TV, and the power went off for a while
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Gerhard (10/5): Exceptional - This is a luxury breakaway. Beautiful surroundings, close to wineries and parks, but secluded and private.
- Jayson (8/5): Very good -
- Rhonda (10/5): A great get-away space and perfect for our needs. We will be back. - The location was perfect - secluded yet close to all amenities. We used the house as a base for a driving tour of the region and it was perfectly situated. My parents are elderly and my mum has some mobility issues - the house was easy for them to navigate. It was an exceptionally hot weekend and, unfortunately, the house was not built to cope with that sort of heat.
- Pacesetters (10/5): Handy location, clean and comfortable house, lots of room for our group of 5. - Quiet and peaceful location. Friendly host who supplied muffins. Well stocked kitchen. Two Queen beds, one with ensuite. Twin beds in third bedroom, makes it versatile. Cars under cover. Lots of birds and other wild life. Close to wineries and other sites. No curtains in the bathroom. Although remote location was comforting.
- Stephen (8/5): Very happy would recommend a stay there - Very nice place in the natural bush setting It was crazy hot that day but air con would have been nice
- Melinda (8/5): Very good -

Facilities are very generous and everything was there what we needed. THANK YOU.
- Nigel (10/5): private and secluded, loved the place - serenity

comfort -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle - great, clean, secluded property but only 5 minutes from town and at least 10 wineries. Attentive owner who was quick to respond
- Sarah (10/5): Bush retreat - I was surprised with the swimming hole down by the river, would be wonderful to bring kayaks. We didn’t stick around because we saw a big snake and a heap of recently hatched snake eggs, but that is all part of staying in the bush it’s inevitable during summer. I was torn between wishing there was a tv and wifi to being glad their wasn’t as we enjoyed lots of family time, board games and togetherness.
