Guest Reviews
- Kylee (7/5): An old 60s beach/fishing shack. - Perfect for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we loved that we could cook a meal after eating out so much. IGA was across the road, the best coffee (Mudlark) a few doors down and the kitchen worked a treat. The water pressure in the shower was good too. I couldn’t imagine staying too long as there wasn’t a space to sit comfortably. The couch in the kitchen really only okay for two and the table seating four, was hard.
The place is old but it worked for us.
- Corey (9/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - Comfortable, clean with all the facilities you could need.
- Chris (6/5): Few little winges, but all in all, comfortable, clean and good location - Showing it’s age. Exhaust fan in bathroom that didn’t work last year, still not working. Limited utensils. Possible $50 cleaning fee if bbq not clean but no cleaning utensils available to do a decent job
- Selina (9/5): -
- Lisa Josephine (8/5): Pet friendly and convenient. - An old fibro cottage, exactly as advertised, basic but clean and comfortable enough. Pet friendly, and with a fenced backyard, able to walk to the beach, pub, grocery store etc. All was as expected.
- NAOYA (9/5): 素敵なオージーのお家。 - 広い、綺麗にしている、リラックスして過ごせる。
- Sandra (9/5): - The location was across the road from everything required. A walk to the beach in a few minutes. Complete convenience of all required. Plus the cleanliness of the property. A huge plus with me. Nothing
- Jeroen (8/5): - Simpel en schoon Gedateerd maar werkt allemaal
- Adam (9/5): Clean, comfortable convenience. - Very clean, comfortable, well located property. Great for an overnight stay and easy walk to pub.
- Christin (10/5): -
- Jocelyn (5/5): - Location okay and it was clean. Very dated and tired. Wouldn’t stay there again.
- Cris Alea (8/5): - Great stay, value for money Nothing
- Greg (10/5): BRILLIANT!! - Hotspot Cottages was pretty much central to everything. Older style accom. , but the place was SO CLEAN !!! Comfy Beds, WiFi was a Breeze!! Very Quiet. We honestly couldn"t find anything at all.
- Kim (7/5): This was an okay stay for one night . Priced well for what it is . - Easy walking distance to cafes , shop and foreshore . Good parking area , spacious . Well priced for what it is . Pretty dated but that wasn't a problem . Could do with an upgrade .
Lockbox hard to open . Wifi didn't work . Broken door handle on internal door . Exhaust fan in shower not working . Air con only in main area and ceiling fan only in one bedroom (it was very hot ) .
Tried to contact manager and owner but no response .

Good location
- Tony (9/5): Fantastic value for money stay in basic but clean accommodation in great location. - Great location, price and allows dogs. It was spotless, it’s old but tidy and clean. Comfortable and clean beds and linen. Blisteringly fast wifi. Being really picky I would say the couch is badly positioned to watch tv
- Natalie (8/5): -
- Christine (7/5): -
- elliott (9/5): -
- James (10/5): Nice place. - . I like the outdoor areas.

- Michael (8/5): -
- Adam (10/5): AR - Cheap price and it's a nice cosy stay. I disliked nothing, it's a good property for what you pay.
If I'm being picky, perhaps supply more toilet paper.
- Gregory (8/5): -
- Karen (7/5): - Location and price. Unable to navigate the complex codes to watch TV.
- Deborah (8/5): - Perfect for a one night stop over as cheap and in a good location.
Has the basics needed
- Willi (5/5): It was just an overnight stop. Unfortunately a bit colder than expected - We brought our own breakfast We were a bit cold. The air conditioner/heating kept going off. The extra blankets were quite thin for a night when the temperature was about 6 degrees. Otherwise it was adequate for a short stay.
- michael (8/5): -
- Becky (9/5): -
- Robert (7/5): No stesss, convenient, a little cold but the weather didn’t help - The size of it, the room space, the amenities, the location, etc It’s very cold in there. This is obviously a seasonal thing but grab the doonas from the single beds and rug up. Be careful when getting up in the night to go
to the toilet.
- Phil (8/5): - Classic old holiday shack. Has everything you need for self catering. Short walk to beautiful Jetty and restaurants.
- Valentina (10/5): Ottimo - Super spazioso pulito e in centro
- Joshua (8/5): - A simple cottage for an overnight stopover. Host was able to answer questions and was hospitable. Everything was as described in the description.
- Sarah (8/5): Good place, older and tired but perfectly fine for us. - Location excellent. Well kitted out kitchen. Decor was a bit tired but didn’t bother us.
- Kellie (10/5): -
- Dave (5/5): -
- Heather (8/5): - Located on the main street close to shops and eateries
Big cottage with lots of room and fully equipped.
- Andrew (9/5): Perfect location to stop for the night on a road trip or spend a few days at the beach. - Located along the main road through Jurien Bay. Easy walking distance to the beach and the grocery store. Kitchen had sufficient equipment for cooking and eating. Good amenities at the property. Cottage and linens are looking a bit old and ragged.
- Alessandro (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
- Metcalfe (5/5): Wouldn't stay there again. - NA
- Heather (4/5): Disappointing -
- Adeline (8/5): Great! We only stayed for one night but could easily stay more next time. - Perfect location.
After reading basic accommodation I was not expecting this! Value for money is amazing.
- Nick (9/5): First class. - Position / space / clean and tidy Nothing.
Worked very well for us
- Kathy (8/5): A great little batch that is value for money and we would book again. - Value for money. Have everything you need. Heater was great. Kitchen equipment was fine. Right opposite a fish and chip shop. Light switches were a bit dodgy, main bedroom window doesn't lock properly, gas stove needs instructions, bedding was not sufficient and a bit scratchy.
- Ai (6/5): Pleasant - location and facilities are good not to said its not clean, just not comfortable
- Kelly (9/5): Location was good. Value for money and had everything we need😁 - Loved the location. Lorette the manager was awesome. Easy check in and out. Pillows need upgrading.
- Albert (10/5): Cheap and Cheerful - Convenient location half way to our destination .walk to pizza and pub always good .clean and comfortable
- Deborah (7/5): Budget accommodation with an incredible location. Great for a value weekend. - Location, location, location. Extra blankets, coffee, tea and sugar supplied. Good backyard. Good value Pillows were very flat. The steps to the toilet could be tricky for older people.
- Tania (10/5): Highly recommend these cottages!! - Beautiful lil cottage in a great location great price can't go wrong. Easy access, easy to find. Prompt responses from owners/ management.. The large burner on the stove flares at you every time you use it. Just avoided it, and there were no other issues.
- Dannielle (8/5): No frills value for money. Comfy beds and very clean. - This was booked as a quick overnight stay to avoid driving late at night. We stay in jurien quite a bit and this place is 100% value for money. A real old school holiday cottage thats basic but super clean. We would come back for sure with the rest of the family. It has decent parking if you are travelling with a boat or trailer and a nice enclosed BBQ area out the back if you had smaller kids
- Adam (7/5): Good - Location was great for a quick stopover on our travels. Can’t fault the place for what the price is, the bed in the front room is very very soft tho
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (8/5): Very good -
- Christie (9/5): Superb - Great location, very simple accommodation. Just the step downs into bathrooms and toilets. My elderly mum and her sister struggled a little. But won't stop us from staying again. I would put a chair there next time to remind them of it.
- Albert (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (7/5): Good -
- Olivia (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (5/5): Great location but needs a serious clean. - Great location, easy to find. Property really needs a good clean. I get it that it’s probably a dusty area but screens and interior surfaces like kitchen shelves not clean. Cutting board in kitchen badly stained and they’re a couple of dollars to replace.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristina (10/5): Location, location ! - Location, location, location! Very clean old style cottage with all you need. Spa in the bathroom, hairdryer, shower, 3 bedrooms, aircon worked perfectly, front yard and backyard enough room for the children to play around. Just perfect. None, I forgot my watch there, I’ve contacted the manager will pickup on my way back .
My fault 🤦🏻♀️
- Nick (7/5): Good -
- Michael (5/5): Reasonable, low budget accommodation. Uncomfortable on hot days without a strong, cool sea breeze. - The location. One air conditioner in the whole house that didn't work very well. The bedrooms had fans but only one power outlet so I couldn't charge my phone and have the fan on. The bins were full and smelly on Monday night when we arrived. I know it is our responsibility to put the bins out but when you are there for short term work things like this get missed as we are focussed on other things and we missed the collection truck and had to put up with smell bins for the stay.
- Warwick (9/5): Good for all we wanted - food preparation and consumption, showering, resting and sleeping. - Had a bed with sheets. doona, two pillows each, a bed lamp each, a towel each, cuttlery, crockerty, cups, good-sized fridge, TV, fan. good table and chairs, good bathroom, nice back and front porches with table and chairs, place to park car. Front doors took some effort to push open or pull shut. Bathroom fan not working. Had to plug in bed lamps with socket in a difficult spot, no shelter for car. Lounge had a slope on the seats. The TV was very strangely set up to get the channel you wanted - had to use the Next Channel button rather than enter the direct number. Some instructions would have been good.
- Hanson (7/5): Good - Location Dirty mattress
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- María (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness, location Would be nice a better bbq zone and a Chrome cast for the tv which is a cheaper option than new TVs
- Monique (10/5): We have already booked again, thanks for an amazing holiday! We can’t wait for next time!! - Amazing Location, Clean and tidy, aircon and fans available, loved the BBQ out the back and the spa!! Nothing we didn’t like, as specified it’s an older cottage and some wear and tear is visible but we had an amazing stay and none of it impacted us at all!
- Denne (7/5): Good -
- Erin (10/5): Good value - Clean Could be decked out with more resources such as bbq utensils , cleaning cloths and products , glad wrap etc
- Corinne (8/5): Very good -
- Dinah (7/5): Suited my purpose for the price - Location,
value for money air con unit too small on a terribly hot night
- Liliherby (8/5): Good holiday - Great location walking distance to everything Lots of ants and vents and fans are all dusty
- John (8/5): Great little find but don't expect 5 star - Have stayed there before. Great location and comfy beds.. feel as though you are going back in time with fixtures and fitting but was wonderfully clean and tidy. The location is fantastic for the beach and pubs/cafes/shops
- Adam (10/5): ALR - Great location and comfortable stay. Glad there were a bunch of fans for the rooms, that helped alot after a hot few days.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Having free wifi was helpful and as we were there on a really hot day the Air con and overhead fan were great.
We enjoyed the spa bath tub.
The bed was comfortable and the cottage had all we needed. A few little upgrades would probably be welcome in the future.
- Annelies (6/5): Pleasant - It was alright, but not great. It was big and spacious. The place is old, and not very clean.
- Brooke (8/5): Very good -
- Tracey (6/5): Pleasant - Tv/lounge area. Lounge is uncomfortable. Lumps push off chair and it's so close to TV that you have to sit sideways to be able to watch it.
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable and suited our needs, nice little garden area, our dog enjoyed it,we had everything we needed(apart from a bottle opener)which we should have brought with us We was going to use the bbq but my husband said it looked like it hadn't been cleaned, considering there's a charge to clean it we were surprised so we didn't bother
