• Vanessa (7/5): - Lovey house. Nice setting. 2 bathrooms. Good well stocked kitchen. Small bedrooms. No bedside tables. No room in cupboards-too full. No hit water on the last morning. Stove didn't get hot but had a electric frypan. Fridge leaked.

House was dirty, floors unswept, bed linen and towels were dirty in all rooms, and the laundry sink was overflowing with dirty linen. We remade the beds for ourselves and mopped the toilet floors as they were wet. Still awaiting a response from the provided property point of contact regarding cleaning or a partial refund.
• Burns (1/5): Very disappointed - Location The place hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests had stayed. We checked in after 3 to find the place filthy, used towels on the floors, no beds made, filthy floor and a leaking fridge full of the pervious guests scraps. Owners were contacted several times to rectify the issue with no response received. We ended up leaving and as the place was inhabitable.
• Ursula (1/5): Haus in schöner Umgebung, jedoch nicht Ratsam. Besonders im Sommer - Sauberkeit, abgelaufenen Essen im Kühlschrank und Tiefkühlschrank. Keine Klimaanlage. Keine Fliegengitter, das geht gar nicht.. Ventilatoren funktionierten teilweise gar nicht oder nur Eingeschränkt.Dreckige Handtücher vom Vorgänger in der Waschmaschine.. Bettwäsche fraglich frisch bezogen, sehr verknittert und mit Flecken. Geputzt wurde schon länger nicht mehr.
• HJ (1/5): Geen aanrader - Wij zijn ontevreden over deze cottage. Wat wel mooi was was de locatie. Je loopt zo naar de horseshoe bay. De kookaburra kwam nieuwsgierig op bezoek. De kikker in de douche was een eigenwijs beest. De accomodatie is naar onze mening totaal ongeschikt voor verhuur in de zomer. Er is geen airco (wisten we) maar er zijn ook nergens horren, dus je kunt geen ramen openzetten. Er zijn enorm veel insecten rond huis. Het was niet te doen. Verder lijkt het alsof je in iemands woning leeft. Kasten vol met kleding, kasten in de keuken en koelkast vol met spullen. Het oogde niet fris, smoezelig en oud. In de basis is het een mooie cottage, maar kan naar onze mening onderhoud en schoonmaak gebruiken. De leuningen van de trap van de veranda ontbreken. Contact met de verhuurder krijgen is mij niet gelukt. Ik had vooraf een vraag over de uitchecktijd. Daar al geen reactie op gekregen, ook na een tweede bericht niet. Eigenlijk had dat al een signaal moeten zijn. Bij aankomst in het cottage heb ik direct een bericht gestuurd dat we niet blij waren met het huis, later op de avond nogmaals en na in de eerste nacht te hebben besloten dat we eerder wilden uitchecken nog verschillende berichten gestuurd. Tevens gebeld, maar het nummer dat bekend is bij Booking is niet in gebruik! We hebben een andere locatie geboekt voor de resterende nacht. Na zoeken kom ik dit Cottage ook op AIRB&B tegen. Daar in staan dezelfde opmerkingen van mensen, meerdere mensen klagen over het gebrek aan horren, de veranda ed. Via booking gevraagd hoe verder met onze klacht. Ze hebben geen regeling kunnen treffen geven ze aan. Ik weet niet of ze contact hebben gekregen met de verhuurder.
• ANITA KUNVARI (1/5): Never again - We've just arrived, and an elderly woman—who claimed to be the owner—was waiting for us completely naked. The place was extremely unclean. There were items like a vacuum cleaner and a screwdriver scattered everywhere, and none of the beds were made. • Taylah (1/5): Unreliable host. Do not recommend! - Imagine getting to the island, hiring a car and 1 hour before checking in, your host calls you and tells you not to check in as there’s already guests there. We had this accomodation booked for weeks and the host had apparently sent a message about this, but didn’t cancel the booking and proceeded to take our money. No call or anything. Said they would refund and then stopping replying to messages and calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

• Sharon (8/5): Love this wooden cottage a short walk in to Horseshoe Bay - Great set-up and location. Suited our group quite well. Horseshoe Bay is probably the best place to stay when visiting Magnetic Island. We were comfortable and happy. Back deck will need some maintenance - timber is fragmenting. Dishwasher also needs a service.

• Kylie (9/5): Mango cottage was a great place for us to gather and spend a relaxing time on the island. We have stayed before and we w - Mango Cottage is so beautiful, it had a great little kitchen for us to cook dinner for everyone in! It was close to the beach and bus service. It had everything for us to come together for a relaxing little girls trip. We don’t have anything we didn’t like. We did stay during a heat wave, so aircon would have been a bonus, but it was still nice without it.
• Jasandra (5/5): A lovely cottage but maybe only for adults - not families (especially with young children). A bit pricey for what was of - Everything about the property in the most part was to be loved. Personally I feel it should be stated a bit more clearly that the accomodation does not have air conditioning. In this day and age it doesn’t seem like something you should have to double check but I made that mistake. With small children I definitely would have cancelled and rebooked some here else knowing it didn’t offer air conditioning. Along with that there were no security measures in place (screens etc) so leaving the house with air flow through the night was not an option as I couldn’t have large windows open with young children for safety. The price that it costed for 2 nights I feel was not worth comfort we were given.

• Ruth (9/5): Glorious location and great house, especially with my dog! - The location was excellent and it was an impressive house. Better than I expected, lots of room and everything we needed. The fans were necessary, as it was quite hot. Understood that there was no air con, but the overhead fans weren't working. Therefore, pedestal fans were on hand but they were very loud.

• Catherine (8/5): Perfect spot to stay over in “winter” in North Queensland. Great setup, very helpful host. - Amazing location and a lovely design for 2 couples to stay. Easy to find, great facilities and especially a very friendly and accommodating host - thanks Shar! Beds could do with upgrading, a little bit sinky in places.

The beds were really unclean and sandy from before we got there. Most of the fans were not working, with no AC. The internet/wifi was very patchy

Very quiet and lots of wildlife around to enjoy. Plenty of space and great facilities in the house. As it was very hot it was quite uncomfortable at night with no air con. Lots of fans available to use but really needs air con for the summer months.
• Kate (1/5): Inhumane living conditions - The look of the house from a distance The infestation of insects (wasps, horseflies, mosquitoes, fruit flies, ants), no insect screens, lack of security (windows didn't shut and some doors), heat was unbearable (due to fans not working and no aircon), bedrooms were not as stated on website, areas of house were unclean. I explained to Sher (the owner) that we had to leave after an hour of our arrival, due to my families different health conditions (epilepsy, pregnancy and anaphylaxis to wasps) Sher laughed at me and stated there was no chance she would even consider issuing a refund.

• Jessica (9/5): Relaxing - We got to see wallabies one mum had a joey popping its head out of the pouch. We saw a koala up in the tree near the kitchen window. Location was perfect kids loved going to the skate park. There's nothing we didn't like

• Nicole (7/5): Unique property in a great location. - Stunning unique property, good sized, clean linen etc, great location. Toiletries available, basic welcome essentials in the fridge etc. A bit strange at first as it’s like the owner just left for the night but after 10 mins you ignore the wardrobes we’re full of stuff & just enjoy the property with its quirks. There was no air con which some family members struggled with. No blinds for the bedrooms meant the younger child wasn’t keen on going to sleep. Security a bit of an issue as doors didn’t lock properly. If the bottom two negatives were fixed/implemented then it would be a fab fab fab stay!

• Gavin (10/5): Hidden gem - Lovely log-cabin style home with room to move! Our family of 4 had a lovely few days at this property on magnificent “Maggie island”. Would highly recommend, photos don’t do the place justice.
