- Keryn (7/5): Comfortable and great value. - Breakfast cereals, tea and coffee and milk plentiful. Biscuits and snacks great. need for bath mat in bathroom and hand towel in laundry {as toilet located there next to laundry sink). Internet not working.

- Bianca (9/5): - The host was extremely generous with snacks and wine all laid out on the bench. The entire place is well thought out and very comfortable.
- Monica (7/5): Neat and tidy, well stocked with all requirements from kitchen to entertainment. - The house was clean and tidy, the host left breakfast packets of Weetbix, bottle of wine etc (nice touch). Easy access to both premises and driveway. Nice seating out the front to enjoy the stillness of Broken Hill. It is a pet friendly premises but the previous faeces in the front yard could have been cleaned up and the back lawn mowed prior to arrival.

- John (10/5): Great place to stay in Broken Hill you won’t be disappointed - Great place to stay and explore Broken Hill. The hosts add the little touches that make your stay more enjoyable. Property exceeded expectations
- Paul (8/5): - Beautiful house, very comfortable beds. Took about 10 minutes to work out how to obtain the keys to open the door, being unfamiliar with the set-up. Shower had uneven floor, back door screen hard to lock.
- Plant (8/5): Comfortable Stay - The provision of complementary wine and snacks, along with excellent communication skills with the staff, were noteworthy. There was nothing particularly objectionable, however, I would like to propose an improvement concerning the bin situated in the bathroom vicinity.
- Heather (10/5): - Good communication with owners, lots of treats left for us, very clean and location was great.
- Shiree (8/5): Comfortable stay - The welcome gift was beautiful. Great kitchen, well equipped. Lots of parking. It was very clean! The toilet was seperate from the bathroom. Got charged extra for the cot, and it wasn’t even set up - waste of money.
The shower curtain, with a small shower.
- David (8/5): - Great little house. Very comfortable, Our host was a pleasure to deal with.
- Maria (8/5): -
- Gundula (9/5): - Great location, peaceful and quiet. Everything you could ask for in this house. Loved the food & wine gift basket. Extra little touch. Beds were very comfortable and shower was hot and house was very homely. Loved sitting on the front porch having a few coldies. Got a courtesy bus to and fro to The Musicians Club. Would definitely stay again. Nothing to complain about

- Jacinta (9/5): Great property but few issues that could be easily rectified. - House was clean and comfortable. Had everything we could need for our stay. There was food on kitchen bench but no note to indicate if it was for guest consumption. Bathroom taps rattled when cold water turned on.
Arm of couch had been previously damaged and was first thing you see upon entering the lounge room
Heating unit isn’t clear for which room is Bed 2 vs bed 3.
No locks on either bathroom or laundry/toilet doors for privacy purposes.
- Chloe (10/5): Worth it - Beautiful house located not in the centre but where we needed it. The HOT shower was deffs a highlight! Wonderful fenced back yard for the dogs. Nil
- Barton (10/5): - Wow ! We absolutely loved the ambience and comfort of the whole house. We didn't want for anything. Beds were so comfortable. Great comfortable lounge as well. Just perfect for us. Loved playing the records.. Can't think of a thing that we didn't like.
- Sandra (8/5): Comfortable value for money. - Great family and pet friendly home. Everything you need is there and a lovely welcome pack of goodies awaited us when we arrived. Back yard is pretty rough, not a play space but great for our dog .
- Rikinkumar (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean, well presentable. Warm and cozy.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Perfect getaway - Very comfortable, great location, everything you want and need in this type of accommodation. Had the best stay. Everything was tidy and clean and well set out.
- Gemma (9/5): Would recommend- lovely house on the south side of town. Loved going to bells milk bar nearby. Comfortable beds, beautif - So beautifully decorated, spacious and cosy. So great for kids with toys and dvds galore. Pity just one toilet but not a huge deal!
- Ramy (9/5): A little gem in the Hill - Fantastic gem. Only issue was how far from town centre. However if you have a car not an issue as good off street parking. Only one toilet
- Debbie (9/5): Had a great time -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Great welcome pack Sofa a little uncomfortable but ok
- Fletcher (10/5): Exceptional -

- Geoff_young (9/5): Superb - Clean, well-presented. Comfortable. Enjoyed our stay, felt like home Small shower recess
- Robert (9/5): A spacious comfortable house to share with family or friends. - Appreciated the pantry basics, great for a self catering house. Enjoyed the cereals, wine and treat provided by the hosts. Too far out of town to walk to cafes, pubs & attractions. You do need a car during your stay.
- Joanne (10/5): Fantastic property the little bonus treats were very thoughtful - Fantastic - good variety and milk supplied as well Nothing
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient location, everything you need for a wonderful stay.
- Neilsen (10/5): Excellent place to stay -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jody (10/5): Exceptional - We all loved our stay at Gem on Jamieson location, very comfortable and clean. There were the little things that made our stay exceptional. The weather was quite hot, the air conditioning was excellent a comfortable 22 degrees. I would recommend this property to anyone travelling with your furry kids. Thank you Nothing
- Janine (10/5): Really lovely - This lovely home had everything. Games, DVDs, snacks, even pamper products. Everything was great
- Tom (10/5): Great stay - Good spot, very comfortable
- Enzet (8/5): Very good - The house was, as indicated in an earlier review, in a somewhat cluttered neighbourhood, but that is actually true of many more places in Broken Hill.
A nice spacious living room, a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom. The landlord told us that they were working hard to clean up the garden as well. As a surprise a well filled welcome pack and fortunately we do drink a glass of wine now and then and eat something unhealthy now and then, so.....And apart from that, we learned as children that you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.....
A good stay on transit to Flinders Range. It was what we' ve expected
- Julie (7/5): A nice house in South Broken Hill. - Decent size property, lots of home comforts, the supplied goodies (chips, chocolate, snacks, a face mask and a bath bomb) were a lovely extra touch. A few quirky extras like the record player & records and loads of dvds plus some board games. A mix of retro features and modern, comfy furnishings. Only a few small things, like the yard being all dirt at the front and most of the back, a leak in the laundry/toilet which meant water was squishing up around the tiles in front of the loo where your feet go, hoping it wasn’t from the toilet itself! Bathroom showing its age, the ceiling paint is peeling off and the taps make a horrible noise when you turn them on sometimes. Couch was broken and some of the furniture (bedroom drawers and bedsides) a bit worn. A few lights either not working or had no bulbs, a porch light would be a great help for coming in and out when it’s dark. DVD player didn’t seem to work however there were loads of dvds supplied. I thought that the check in time (4pm) was pretty late for a rental, and the request to put away clean washed dishes before leaving was also unusual, i would always do dishes last before leaving (rather than do several lots) and put them in the drainer, or run the dishwasher before leaving and its never been an issue. Especially where the cost includes a $70 cleaning fee.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (9/5): very good, wonderful facilities. bed in master was terrific, better than my great one at home. - location was good for what we required, lovely presented home. everything there. wifi, milk and cereal and goodies. lovely rooms, shampoos, conditioner and soap in bathroom. master bedroom bed was excellent. all rooms catered very well, aircon wonderful. The banging water pipe for the hot water in the shower. Milk for non dairy customers if going to provide. goodies that were healthier - they were exceptional goodies, but not very healthy. and non alcohlic drink for non drinkers. all these were extras- which was wonderful but didnt cater for Non alcohlic drinkers, dairy free and vegan and vegetarian healthy eaters. hand soap for toilet was not supplied, but soap on hand.
- Sharon (9/5): Very pleasant and comfortable. Would come back. 😀 - Inside and side front was lovely. Backyard could be more inviting.
Lovely gesture leaving nibbles for us. Dirty ashtray on table on front patio.
Couldn’t get dvd player to work. No fan for toilet and couldn’t see any smoke alarms.
- Louise (9/5): A home away from home - Very comfy couches and beds. Ducted air-conditioning was very comfortable after a hot day seeing the sights. Thoughtful welcome snacks with wine which added a nice touch to the stay. Tasteful decor throughout with plenty of bench space in the kitchen. I'll be back.
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful large home ,the place to stay! - After being on the road for a while staying in motels it was lovely to stay in a comfortable home.Gem has everything you could possibly need with some extra treats from Candice the host.We would definitely stay again if we visit Broken Hill in the future. Nothing!
- Dali (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant - A simple choice of cereal and milk breakfast was provided During our stay unfortunately the area was suffering from severe power outages however we were disappointed with our host and the lack of information and communication as this issue had been occurring since the previous week and was well known to the host however at no point was this communicated to us and as my husband was suffering a health condition and needed power to assist we had no opportunity to make arrangements , reschedule or even make allowances for fuel (as during power outage there was none available in the town.
- Lexi (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home
Great communication
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelina (9/5): Superb - The house was excellent with regards to size. The place very clean and the host Candice was very accommodating. Loved it and will definitely use again when next in Broken Hill.
- Carole (10/5): Exceptional - This was a wonderful facility!! Clean, quiet and spacious. Had every possible convenience including a laundry. Bed was very comfortable so we slept really well. A little out of the way but only a 5min drive to supermarket, atm etc and only a few minutes more to the centre of Broken Hill. A very generous 'welcome pack' was a wonderful surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back. Nothing!
- David (8/5): Quiet place to stay - Had everything you need for a self contained stay. Bed was very comfortable.Kitchen was lovely.Books & DVDs galore. Welcome wine & snacks was a nice touch. The bathroom needs some renovating. The bath plughole has rust. The shower is small & the shower rose seems to be broken as water gushes out the back. The tap makes an awful noise. The ceiling is peeling.
An instruction manual on how everything works(like the oven & lights) would be appreciated
- James (9/5): Excellent stay, met our requirements to a very high standard after a long day on the road - The host provided excellent breakfast cereals and other treats which were much appreciated We weren’t sure how to get the DVD working, this might have been us not understanding how it worked
- Sally (8/5): Adequate for a group travelling - House had everything we needed. Great welcome pack. Check in time a little late, 1600. Only received the code to check in at 1558. Earlier check in would be appreciated.
Ice machine on fridge not working and vegetable crisper not clean.
- John (10/5): A wonderful comfortable stay. Would recommend to anyone going to Broken Hill - For a family of five the house was an excellent size and very comfortable. The gifts left for us on arrival was a wonderful surprise and very much enjoyed. It really was a GEM. There was nothing not to like
- Marilyn (10/5): Beautiful home. - Top location.
- Stuart (9/5): Despite the minor problems with the plumbing, Highly recommended. - There were minor leaks in the base of the toilet and the wash basin.
- Nicole (10/5): Lovely home with character and every convenience - Such a fantastic place to stay in Broken Hill. Even after reading all of the happy reviews, we were still amazed by how lovely the house was and how generous the hospitality shown by the host. Anything anyone could want for a comfortable stay was provided, there's been so much love and thought put into creating a sense of home here and the house has so much character. Good beds and linen, a strong hot shower, splendidly equipped kitchen, fast wifi, great heating and every modern convenience. Spacious rooms, so quiet at night. And the treats left out for us went well above and beyond what we could have expected. We appreciated everything about this place, were sad to leave and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - The property had all we needed and more. Beautifully appointed and in a lovely street
The hosts were amazing and I felt very as ease with them. I did contact them a few times with silly questions and nothing was too much trouble. We travel extensively and always book houses but this one has ticked all the boxes. Thanks so much
- Deb (8/5): Very good - the ambience of the place nothing
- Sean (8/5): Good size house with everything you need, nicely decorated and comfortable - Large house and price range good surprised with a welcome pack of nibbles and wine
- Eunice (10/5): A lovely stay in a well appointed house, quiet neighbourhood - It was a lovely home with all the comforts modern heating and air conditioning, with extra special gifts , snacks for personal use not applicable
- Christine (8/5): Wonderful and comfortable stay - This property had everything you could need in a lovely stay a short drive from the centre of Broken Hill. The bed was super comfortable, warm house during those cooler nights and relaxing in the comfy lounge watching a movie. Full kitchen and washing machine! I didn’t know the goodies on the bench were for us until I read reviews after check out 🤦♀️ A quick call to the lovely hosts who had made a priority call out late our first night with a simple quick fix to the hot water service and the hot water was a plenty the following morning.
- Shannon (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay on Gem on Jamieson. This little house was perfect for our family of 4 travelling to attend an AFL school carnival. It was very well equipped with everything one could need. Just like home. Excellent washing machine, complete with washing powder and pegs to wash and hang out the footy gear. The kitchen had everything we needed including a sandwich press and air fryer! The ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge was well used. The boys enjoyed playing on the play station as well as searching for their favourite DVD's in the extensive collection. The wine, chips, lollies and bickies on arrival hit the spot. As did the breakfast cereal packs complete with 2L of milk in the fridge and coffee pods. We would most certainly stay again if we visited the area.

- Robyn (8/5): Comfortable overall, good water pressure and a good air con, was a nice stay. - I did not expect any groceries which I thought was very nice, the box of chocolates and snacks were a real treat Thankyou
My grand kids appreciated the toys. Some things I would change but personal taste will differ for each client thus a nicely set up home.
- Annette (9/5): Great hosts. Awesome air con for the heat. Loved the house. - Cereal packs a bit small. Coffee was great. Loved the ice on fridge. Loved the responsiveness of hosts. Too much technology. Took ages to workout the lights 😃
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The house was beautifully presented and welcoming right from the moment we opened the door. A few of the lights weren't working, or took a minute or so to turn on, but not a big deal as the lamps and ambient lighting was better.
- Kristin (10/5): Highly recommend - Very comfortable and felt just like home! Decorated beautifully and the scent from candles and diffusers was amazing. Gifts on the bench , in the fridge and in the cupboard when we arrived were very unexpected but very much appreciated, thank you.
