Guest Reviews
- Kirsten (7/5): Spacious house in peaceful environment. Difficult to heat in cold weather. - Spacious house in peaceful bushy environment.
Well equiped kitchen (cooktop electric but not induction, absence of dish-brush).
Heat lamps in the bathroom ceiling
Comfortably furnished, beautiful dining table and special coffee table in lounge.
Nice touches, like fresh flowers on arrival.
Well cleaned Difficult to heat the house to comfortable temperature, especially the dining room, (we could not get it above 19 degrees even with 2 heaters moved in there).
Old fashioned bathroom : very low sink, no mixer tap (choice of ice cold or scalding hot), toilet not flushing very well.
No maximum temperature control on hot water, serious risk of scalding.
Absence of kindling to get the fire started
Absence of hair dryer.
- George (10/5): Relaxing, welcoming, very comfortable, great location and a lot of things in house to welcome us. - Beautiful location.. I loved sitting looking out from the bay window into Australian bush each morning with my coffee and watching the cockatoos and eclectic parrots. 😄
- David (10/5): Want to go back!! - Beautiful setting, that front room is the best. Rey relaxing and close to everything.
- Paul (9/5): Our second stay in this lovely house in a beautiful setting. The family really enjoyed it, as before. - Quiet, leafy location and outlook. Garage parking. Overall design. Comfortable beds. Comprehensive facilities and accommodation for 4 adults. 2 bathroom/toilets. proximity to Blackheath, lookouts and walks. The property itself is great. However, it may be hard for visitors to find. Please include street numbers in info for public knowledge. Inconvenient checkin procedure for overseas tourists, involving credit card details as security and facsimile signature using insecure open internet/phone.
- Geoff (10/5): Excellent - Great location, very quiet, comfortable beds and very roomy. Nothing
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing, peaceful location. House is very well equipped, beautifully decorated and spacious. Loved that we could walk everywhere and have some much needed family time.
- Andrej (10/5): Exceptional - We had an incredible stay at this beautiful house in Blackheath, Blue Mountains! The property is in excellent condition, with three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, making it feel like a home away from home.
The lounge was absolutely amazing—a cozy and tranquil space to unwind after a long day of hiking. The peaceful surroundings of the forest made the atmosphere spectacular, offering the perfect escape into nature.
Another highlight is the location—conveniently close to the train tracks, which made it easy for us to explore the area. Despite the proximity, the house remained peaceful and quiet, adding to its charm.
The entire property was spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was impressive. We were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment of our stay. If you’re looking for a serene and comfortable retreat in the Blue Mountains, this is it! Highly recommended.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronlin (9/5): A beautiful location for fun times with friends - We were a group of five friends who really enjoyed the spacious and cosy house for a weekend. All parts of the house were equipped for comfort, even the third bedroom. The location is very quiet, set in scenic bush surrounds with a short (somewhat uphill) walk along to the village from the entry on Prince Edward St. There is a basic pantry with instant coffee and tea, plus a few condiments and plentiful firewood etc. We were informed only near arrival that the street address is not accurate for navigation. The entry lane is actually next to 75 Prince Edward Street (narrow, unlit, no footpath). It is steep and ends with two parking spaces and a steep driveway down to the garage. It was not clear whether we could use the garage. One friend parked in a layby on the road. Now that we understand the location and parking space, we would be willing to return.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (8/5): Nice and cosy. -
- Margaret (10/5): Loved our stay for 6 - Light and space and comfy chairs Access for two cars is possible but not easy
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Very pleasant - Excellent location and very well fitted out
- Suwannee (9/5): Blue Mountain hide away - Home with family in the bush. We felt like living among the trees yet it was close to Blackheath township. The house was well kept and fully equiped. Easy to keep clean. There were aircons and/or fireplaces to keep warm. Highly recommended. Steep and narrow driveway, difficult for 2 cars parking.
- Richard (10/5): A serene and tranquil oasis close to transport links and a short walk to the National Park. -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): perfect for our needs - we loved how light it was, clean and set amongst the trees the driveway was a bit tricky, slippery and a bit boggy
- Bruce (9/5): We had a lovely weekend enjoying the cosy fires and bush views. - We loved the fires and the views from the sitting room. The kitchen facilities were very good. The driveway and parking areas. It was very steep, muddy and difficult to park. Also there was no turning area.
