- Mark (5/5): - Setting outside was lovely Very cluttered inside. Like staying in a museum. Not our style at all

- Trevor (8/5): Quirky cottage in lovely Angaston. - It was quirky with old knick-knacks everywhere.
Had all the amenities you need. Nice enough for a short stay. A bit dark inside but very comfortable
A 1km walk into the main town street.
- Butson (7/5): All in all we enjoyed our stay and the house was comfortable. - Location was great and it was nice to have breakfast things left for us and a bottle of wine, that was nice. Being able to light the fire in the lounge was good because the nights were cold. The shower wasn't great and we worked out not to use the water at the kitchen sink while someone was in the shower.
- Roger (9/5): A picturesque cottage where we immediately felt comfortable. - It was lovely to arrive to a bottle of local wine and some great food. The outdoor area was lovely . Our dog enjoyed exploring the yard. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and needs attention.
- Leonie (9/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the house charming filled with knick knacks from earlier days. - Breakfast supplies were adequate but we were out and about early to attend the Rural Women's Gathering so we did not have much time to indulge. As the house was old and quaint, the rooms were dark and the lights not bright enough.
- Eric (10/5): -
- Tamara (7/5): This was a delightful place to stay. The breakfast supplied was generous and the house is well presented. The artefacts - It was filled with interesting artefacts and has an old world charm. The garden is delightful to sit and have your morning coffee in. Lacks internet coverage. Due to the thick stone walls mobile coverage can be limited but that means you get a good rest from technology.
- Samantha (7/5): -
- Rosemarie (9/5): Overall, a lovely peaceful trip away, with so many provisions provided, we loved it there. - The cabin was full of wonderful little antiques! It was the most interesting place we’ve ever stayed in! It did get very cold. Luckily my husband figured out how to get the fire going since the fan on the wood fire was broken. The tv also needs updating. The control barely works and was hard to use.
- Kristy (10/5): Would definitely recommend the property, quiet, and beautifully set up, very clean - Good location, well equipped and very welcoming
- Tim (7/5): Good - Rustic Tv reception
- Daniel (10/5): Amazing and comfy historical cottage - Amazing cottage full of fascinating historical artifacts. Very clean. Super comfy beds. Great location, a short drive to anything you would want to see in the Barossa, or an hour to Adelaide. Very minor but wifi and a working channel 7 on the TV would have been nice
- Hart (9/5): Beautiful, comfortable and full - Such a lovely cottage with comfortable beds, plenty of space, a sweet outside area and interesting antiques and books. I would book again if I was back in the area
- Gehan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (9/5): Superb -
- Huon (9/5): Quiet, comfortable and peaceful. - Adequate. We just had muesli and fruit. We did not have a cooked breakfast but we could have as there were eggs and bread provided. Basin plug got stuck.
- Netti (10/5): It was perfect. 3 friends from Perth, ACT, NSW, (2 grew up in Barossa, ) needed to catch up after many years & we hi - We fell in love with it immediately. 3 mature travellers. It was so well appointed with exactly the perfect blend of old world charm & convenient commodities. The provisions left for us, & the luxurious bedding & towels, and spacious rooms made it idyllic. We have already told everyone we meet to go there. Thank you so much Nothing to not like
- Pratiksha (8/5): Very good -
- Bridget (10/5): Wow - what a fabulous cottage! - This property more than exceeded our expectations. It was a fabulous cottage with lots of character which had us saying "wow" the moment we walked through the door. It was immaculately clean, which is no mean feat given the decor, and lots of provisions to ensure that you could have breakfast, as well as a welcome bottle of wine. The little notes everywhere to give you hints on how things work or where to find things was great. We also loved having a fireplace and we lit the fire both nights, especially since it was cold at night. Loved the place.
- Karena (10/5): Just brilliant! - Fantastic location, wonderful breakfast provisions, beautiful cottage. Pet friendly and full of hidden treasures. Loved our stay!
- Libby (10/5): Exceptional -
- *a-wilson (7/5): Our stay was cozy with character. - The cottage matched its description perfectly, adorned with nicknacks on every surface and corner.
We appreciated the generous supply of firewood provided.
We opting to dine outside as it was more convenient than clearing the dining room table and moving things around.
The beds were comfortable, and though we didn't use the breakfast provisions (eggs, milk, yogurt, fruit), we would have enjoyed cooking if some bacon and/or tomatoes were included. The complimentary bottle of wine added a thoughtful touch.
Communication with the host was prompt and effortless.
Overall, our stay was pleasant and accommodating. We appreciated being allowed to check in early at 3pm, though it still felt somewhat late, especially considering the 10:30am check-out time.
The fireplace was functional, but because the fan wasn't operational, it took quite a while to heat the house and required constant monitoring overnight to prevent it from extinguishing. A couple of blow heaters in the rooms would have been great.
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelays (10/5): Exceptional - Plenty supplied for a decent breakfast and a few extra surprises. Excellent location, quiet and peaceful, nice dark rooms for a good night's sleep. Lovely outdoor area. Very comfortable base for our few days in the Barossa. The young ones would have liked a dish washer...I don't own one so it didn't bother me!
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Grant (10/5): A privilege to stay in a living museum - We loved the house -it has been so lovingly maintained; the decorations and touches in every room were delightful. The outdoor space was pleasant. We were very pleased to stay for 2 nights - a fabulous home to return to after a day exploring the region.
The breakfast provisions, wine and Easter eggs were appreciated.
- Shneebs (3/5): So hot we couldnt have stayed another night, we werent looking to go back in time - missed the mark - The hosts were friendly and welcoming, I just feel they have taken the heritage thing too far. Piles of ten year old magazines, and clutter everywhere. No airconditioning and it was extremely hot, no wifi on the property which is unacceptable to me in this day and age, no mobile phone reception even though we were staying in a town. The house was cluttered with bric a brac and collectibles and useless appliances and decorations. Basically, any free space had bric a brac on it, any free surface had a stack of ten year old magazines or dried flowers or historic package of some sort or porcelain dog or candelabra.... If youre looking to go back in time for a heritage experience then this place is for you, unfortunately not we wanted or expected. The hosts were lovely.
- Linda (9/5): Relaxing! - A beautiful, unique step back in time. We loved the house, the garden, the location and the eye for detail. Clean and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable. We didn't dislike anything, however, I guess we would have liked wifi and breakfast was a little basic. It wouldn't put us off coming back.

- Andrew (10/5): A trip back in time with modern comforts. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks - Everything, location and trip back in time. The kids loved checking out the historical items located throughout the house.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional. You will be blown away. - The highlight of our trip. Outstanding cottage full of history and oozing with care and love the owners clearly have for their home. Immaculately clean and with so many little extras you don’t usually find. We cannot wait to come back!! We loved absolutely everything.
- Michael (9/5): Great location and a charming cottage from where you have great access to everything the Barossa has to offer. - Great location to explore the Barossa. Fireplace was a particular favourite as well as the generous provisions for breakfast There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (8/5): Very good - Loved the historical decor with modern conveniences and the supplies available in the kitchen No fan operational on fireplace ,but a good supply of firewood to keep a hot fire
- Christine (8/5): I would like to say for older people the mats in the lounge room were a hazard. - Breakfast was great.
Good l9cation Lighting could have been better.
Door to the single bedroom was difficult to get in & out of
- Vicki (10/5): Perfect Barossa Weekend - Gorgeous cute cottage. Comfy beds warm fireplace.
Lots of breakfast provisions. Quirky historic decorations too. Definitely recommend. Nothing!
- Toni (9/5): Gorgeous character house. Comfortable. Great hospitality. - Gorgeous character filled cottage. Spacious for 4 of us. Hosts were very generous with hospitality. Easy to find. Location close to central Angaston. Really enjoyed our stay.

- Adelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Phillip (10/5): A delightful and interesting base from which to explore the Barossa. Cosy, friendly home. -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Lovely little cottage, home away from home. Late check in 4pm was a bit late I feel.
- Margaret (10/5): Would definitely recommend the venue and the host. - The breakfast food provided plus the extra food and beverage items were all very much appreciated. It was a great location for seeing the Barossa. Could do with a clothes dryer but with a cosy fire and plenty of drying racks this was easily sorted.
- Michelle (10/5): we all loved our stay and will be raving about it for years to come. very happy - beautiful property, great attention to detail. this property is so unique and authentic.
