Guest Reviews
- turner (8/5): - Ok Dusting and cleaning under lounge somewhere to park your car instead of under a wattle tree from next door getting the car covered in wattle as well as bird droppings other than that was ok
- Jackie (9/5): -

- Dwight (10/5): -
- Jill (4/5): Adequate - Great kitchen. Well-stocked.
- Rob (7/5): Ok for short stays in cooler weather - Clean inside and comfortable Yard was untidy, back patio are was dirty with leftover cigarette butts in ashtray which looked like they had been there for some time. Back patio did not look like photos. Air conditioning struggled on a hot day to cool main living area and kitchen.
- Craig (8/5): -
- John (8/5): Good facilities, homely, and close to the city centre. -
- Jeff (7/5): We enjoyed our stay, like I said clean and comfortable - Spacious and comfortable , good clean facilities. Furnishing were tied, but functional. Blind at front window needs replacing , could not drop down to reduce sunlight or heat coming thru.
- milikouros (7/5): -
- Allan (7/5): - The WiFi was not available.
Every thing else was good
- Joanne (8/5): -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Inside was comfortable and roomy. Location was great. Would stay here again - Location was great. Walking distance to town and clubs Outside area needed tiding up
- Glenn (8/5): - Bed
- Louis (7/5): Met our needs for a night - Convenient location
Inside was well presented and tidy
Kitchen was updated and suitably equipped
Beds were comfortable Noisy AC unit beside bedroom window
Light in bathroom was so dull and the heatlamps didn't work
Rear outside area was very untidy with cigarette butts

- sutanu (9/5): Very comfortable stay. Would love to rent this place again on our next visit. - The location was very good, very close to the town centre and close to all amenities. The rooms were good, the kitchen was excellent. Didn't have to wait too long for the hot water to start flowing. The family loved it. (i) The entry to the parking space inside the property could be a little more wider than it is now
(ii) WIsh there were hangars the closet for hanging clothes
But, no regrets -- these are very trivial issues.
- Robyn (7/5): - The venue had instantaneous hot water, comfortable beds and sofas, renovated kitchen which was well equipped and good heating and also had a washing machine which was handy. The location was also very good and the owner gave good responses. The venue lacked mirrors only had a tiny mirror in bathroom. It seems that some renovations had occurred but still required more, like painting , old window sheers with holes and uneven floors but when rectified would be well recommended.

- Rebecca (2/5): Unsafe and in breach of housing and accommodation I would like to warn people that this gentlemen called Bobby, appears - On the way through town and had late check in with lock box 1. Faulty and unsafe electrical wiring, my mother and I were ‘zapped’ and sparks came out of a number of electricity outlets. Some power points failed.
2. The sheets and linen in both rooms were I clean, smelt bad of male body odours, cologne.
3. The floor boards through the house have multiple holes in them covered with rugs. Some spots the entitle floor moved and you felt wonky line on a floating / moving pontoon. There are multiple different levels of heights of floor in each room line the stumps under the house are all different levels.
4. The shower overflow drain in the bathroom was extremely smelly at night.
5. The heater in the room I stayed in failed, but also smelt like it was broken / burning plastic.
6. There were holes in the walls, some covered and some uncovered open and conducive to vermin.
- Jenna (7/5): Wxcellent - Great central location. Good facilities all working and comfort. There are a few holes that created cold drafts and some repairs may be needed for longevity of the property but it suited our needs well.
- Wilma (6/5): Broken Hill escape - Very comfortable bed. Heating good. Hot water wonderful. Dirty mugs put away. Cutlery greasy. Very cold but after an hour lovely and warm. No towel rails to dry towels on. Power points not good.
A little maintenance would really improve this cottage.
- Claire (5/5): Everything we needed was there, but not so.etbing - Location.
Some thoughtful additions with soap and shampoo/conditioner, coffee etc House is more run down in reality. Not as clean in places. Very dark on the street entering the driveway and unpaved.
- Brian (8/5): Convenient location and comfortable bedrooms but lighting in the lounge area needs improving. - Convenient location and two comfortable bedrooms Lighting.
- Mike (9/5): Superb - Comfortable and very clean
- Cheryl (6/5): Enjoyed stay and house provided a clean, comfortable base - Beds v comfortable, house was spacious, cleanliness good. Kitchen facilities upgraded , good supply of utensils etc. Location although on busy highway was in walking distance to main street and supermarket for supplies. Bathroom drains were smelly ...unpleasant when in bathroom and adjoining laundry area.
Lighting in dining /lounge area was v poor. ...main light in centre of room not working at all. One fan had lighting, the other fan had a light which barely glowed.
Unable to connect with Internet with 'incorrect password' error. ..tried several devices, same issue.
Generally house needs an upgrade both internally and out doors .
- Judy (9/5): Superb - The lighting
- Kyla (7/5): Ok stay - The renovations have started but house not finished
Good location
Bed was comfortable Nowhere to sit outside to relax.... mess all outside and not clean where the table and chairs were setup
Couldn't clean the house ourselves, no cleaning products like a broom.
Toaster was broken
Tree in the driveway needs to he cut back couldn't park the car in the driveway cause the tree over hung too low and took up half the driveway.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Location and value
- Tarrant (8/5): Very good - Beds comfortable. kitchen very serviceable. Lights in loungeroom very dull. Bathroom very smelly making us buy disinfectant to combat smell.
All in all reasonably comfortable

- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rowe (7/5): Good -
- Lynn (6/5): Needs some TLC - Hot water and close to town. Our saggy bed. Dirty floor. Smelly drains in bathroom. The rear patio area needed cleaning up. a general tidy up in the garden would make the place look more appealing.
- Jonathan (4/5): We loved our time in Broken Hill but the smell in the bathroom was not pleasant. - Good location The bathroom smells like sewage
Not clean
Stained mattress protector
Property is poorly maintained
- Barbara (1/5): Never again!!!!!!!! Mug’s dirty, tea stained. Outdoor area uninviting. - Lloyd (7/5): Other than that it was good - Need a comfortable bed and the bathroom drain was smelly

Great value for money. The property is a little tired. One of the sofas very uncomfortable. Bathroom clean but dated had a bit of a sewerage aroma.
No wardrobe in second bedroom which was a bit difficult.

- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darryl (8/5): Stay was quiet pleasant and would recommend it to anyone, most rooms were upgraded . - Location was excellant and we would do it again Had to jiggle key in front door. Maybe a screen could be fitted. Little bit musty on arrival but irrelavent.
- Gage-cynthia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- L (7/5): Good - Location is convenient Stay for 2 nights. Unfortunately no hot water for shower the first night after cooking, but the the problem was solved by owner on the second day morning.
- Kenneth (9/5): property was central to downtown, clean well appointed. It was central to us having a nice time. - We made our own
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Tanika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerrie (1/5): Scroll past this one, death trap. - The kitchen was fairly new. Everything. The positive reviews are false. This property is a disaster, you could forgive the aesthetics but the electrical and plumbing problems are serious. This property should not be able to be listed.
Stench from the bathroom floor waste is disgusting, faulty powerpoints and the putrid oven is only the start of what was the worst accommodation we had in 37 day trip.
- Steven (8/5): relaxing two night stay, would stay again. - location was good and easy walk to the CBD all good
- Sheryn (4/5): Only if you can’t get in elsewhere - The shower water pressure was good. Main bed was comfortable.
Although a whole house, neither of us felt comfortable or safe We arrive. At night. No outside lights worked and had to stumble and fumble around the yard to the lockbox and from car to front (side) door.
A quick, unprofessional tart-up job done on an old, run down property. A less than desirable area with audible neighbours arguing and drunks stumbling down the road.
- Carly (7/5): Good -
- Pam (8/5): Very good -
- Kerry (8/5): Loved broken hill - Muck up with the keys caused alot of angst spent first night unable to access accomadation
- Jon (1/5): Bad -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness, comfortable, well-appointed Backyard and rear facilities
- Gavin (6/5): Pleasant - The outside of the house need some TLC
- Peter (3/5): House of Dirt - Close proximity to town. Off street parking. Needs a big deep clean it is very dirty close to being a health hazzard. No clothes storage in one of the bedrooms. Few power points and faulty lighting throughout including on the front porch which makes it difficult when coming back when dark.
- Robert (7/5): Mouse problem -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - great location. homely and comfortable. spider webs in all windows and corners and in bathroom
- Peter (7/5): Overall a comfortable experience - Great location and modern kitchen, plenty of room. Clean and comfortable. Easy entrance and fast internet. the drain in the bathroom has a foul smell and was taped over but this did not help. this part really needs to be repaired. Need to add a deadlock to the front door and likely back door. it is not great for security regardless of camera in place
- Ross (10/5): excellent - clean and everything we needed it was fine
- Jacqueline (5/5): Passable - Location clean kitchen The backyard very uninviting. The bathroom had a bad drainage smell
- Merryne (5/5): Passable -

- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Salemani (9/5): Superb -
- Jianguo (9/5): It was a good holiday staying in a house. - House is good for holiday. Nil
- Tanika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayne (4/5): Disappointing -
- This (7/5): Good - Location.
- Joanna (7/5): Good - Clean, tidy and comfortable. Great location. Great puzzles for entertainment.
Kitchen is good
Despite all the issues, it is a comfortable, clean and tidy place and great location. 2 doors won't shut, bathroom and 2nd bedroom.
Air conditioning ducts are falling apart. I know evaporative isn't working.
Lights in lounge don't work, the chandier. Room is very dark.
There were cockroaches in the bathroom and there was a light smell of sewerage.
Every room but kitchen and bathroom, the floor sinks as the house needs its foundations repaired or replaced.
Mattress in main room is great for 1 person but sinks in the middle with 2 people.
Rough renovation job
- Tanika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joy (4/5): Disappointing. - Location was okay but very noisy from the semi trailers passing by continuously. New Kitchen which was nice but floor could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy. Good towels and toiletries provided. Clean bedding. Good assortment of crockery etc The bathroom was terrible, cracked and mouldy tiles in the shower alcove. Very bad smell also. The verahdah had large cracks and no balustrade. Lighting was really bad in the loungeroom. Had to eat our breakfast almost in the dark. You could see dirt and dust under the sofa from the dining table in the lounge room. Breakfast chairs had the bottom linings hanging down. Broken pane of glass in the corridor with an attempt to put a large sheet of contact on it which was hanging off. We were told via email if we made a mess extra would be charged. I think the house is a work in progress and not yet up to standard. There were also holes by each bedhead in the walls where something had been removed and we were worried about vermin coming in.
- Dylan (5/5): Comfortable but very smelly - Beds were really comfy, kitchen was well-equipped, WiFi worked well, location was very convenient. As has been mentioned in other reviews, there is a terrible sewage smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. The owners are obviously aware as they have covered the drain in the middle of the floor with duct tape, but it hasn't helped as the shower and sink drains are obviously uncovered. It was a horrible smell that went through into the main bedroom as well. It was very off-putting and really put a dampener on an otherwise pleasant stay.
- Ray (6/5): facilities pretty good but those other things I mentioned need to be addressed - location light not working in second bedroom
bathroom door not locking
no towel racks in bathroom
dirt driveway which turns to mud when raining
trees rub on house making a scratching noise
- Pam (8/5): Very good -
