Guest Reviews
- Mere (8/5): Very good - We visited in winter and had a wonderful time but I’d love to return in summer to enjoy it even more. The property is perfect for groups, with plenty of space for entertaining and relaxing. While the lake access was a bit trickier compared to neighbouring houses, it was still manageable. Overall, a great stay. I definitely recommend!
- Deborah (10/5): Perfect Peaceful getaway - Every last detail thought of , home away from home. Beautifully appointed, peaceful spot. Very helpful agency. Would recommend Nothing
- Fiona (10/5): An adventurous fun filled stay in a luxurious home that catered for our every need. - The picturesque spot is nestled among towering gum trees on the edge of Smith's Lake and the magnificent house seems purpose-built for family and friend get-togethers. It is cleverly designed to accommodate 3 or 4 couples comfortably and beautifully decorated, it also has many pots and pans and serving dishes for any occasion. The house also has a range of indoor and outdoor seating settings for every occasion including quiet secluded areas and large areas for entertaining the whole group. It is on the doorstep to a range of adventures; from hiking to the ocean headlands or along the beach sandbar filled with a wide variety of bird life, kayaking the Big and Little Islands within Smith Lake or exploring nearby Seal Rocks, whale and dolphin watching as we went. Our family had a brilliant time, thoroughly enjoying every second. The wooden stairs could be quite slippery in wet weather.
- Crystal (6/5): Nice house with but room for improvement - Nice views of the lake, comfortable beds, lots of kitchen appliances and games, good stovetop and oven, nice outside areas and couches, cosy atmosphere for a family reunion weekend. Wouldn’t recommend this properly for people with breathing issues or mobility challenges as there is smelly mould in the downstairs bedrooms and no railing on slippery stairs to get into the property. The house is lovely but gets very little sunshine. On our last night the whole upstairs lighting went out. When we called the property management they said it was unlikely they could get an electrician in time as it was a long weekend. We totally understand that but they said they would call us back to confirm we would be without lighting and they never did. We couldn’t bbq as planned and had to ration the bedside lamps to make our final family dinner and use torches to light up the bathroom. The property management also said they would check with the owners about receiving a discount because of the inconvenience - again, they never got back to us.
