Guest Reviews
- Geoff (9/5): Excellent old-style property in great location. Spacious and comfortable, well equipped. - Location excellent. Handy to shops, cafes etc. Spacious and comfortable living area. Well equipped. Host was friendly and well organised. We liked the property and had zero issues, but if forced to be picky we would prefer a king size bed (however bed was comfortable).
- Karen (8/5): -
- Carol (7/5): - The location It was dark and not very clean
- Jenny (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Great stay as always in Queenscliff - Great location and a good sized rental Nothing

- Carmelo (10/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Perfection! - Sensational location-walking distance to everything we needed. Weather was awful, but the house was cosy and comfy. Paul made everything easy. Absolutely everything you need, and more. Nothing
- Peter (9/5): Loved the house- very enjoyable stay - Great location.
Friendly and helpful host.
Very nice, clean and spacious house
Highly recommend staying there.

- Joanna (9/5): Charming, comfortable and in a great location. - Great location, very comfortable character filled house. A warm welcome from the owner. We had friends come and stay for one night however they had to pay for 2 nights (as that was the policy). The charge for the second night seemed unnecessary as we were already paying (as a couple) for 3 nights.
- Chie (9/5): -
- David (8/5): - Close to town and beach
- Matthew (8/5): Great location, plenty of space, nice and clean. - Great little house in a fantastic location.
Plenty of space and nicely fitted out.
Will be back! Nothing.
- Trish (10/5): It was excellent. So close to everything. The perfect short break. - Location was perfect. The host was wonderful and sso very helpful. Nothing
- Karen (10/5): The host was very welcoming and hope we get the opportunity to visit again. - Loved the comfort of this well kept property and you couldn’t ask for more from the location.
Cozy and warm. I could not flat the property.
- Gemma (9/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): A beautiful winter getaway - The location was centra and attractions all within walking distance. We also loved the serenity of the area. The house was beautifully decorated in period furnishings including a very well appointed kitchen. While the heating and cooling systems in the main living area were exceptional, there didn't appear to be any in the test of the house apart from a standing fan and small portable oil heater in the bedroom.
- Vitina (8/5): Very good - Location, size of living area, easy access, clean Bedrooms had no heaters and the fireplace in the bedroom didn't looked used so we assumed we couldn't use them.
Only 2 of the 5 lights in the bathroom ceiling worked so lighting was poor.
- Bridget (9/5): Very enjoyable - Location and it’s old world charm
- Aaron (10/5): Highly recommend - Beautiful period home nicely renovated. Situated in the middle of town and close to restaurants and beach. Comfortable bed with quality linen.
The owners were very easy to communicate with.

- Sue (9/5): Gorgeous home with old world charm. Great location - The location was excellent. A 2 minute stroll to the Main Street and 1 minute to get a coffee
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Such a lovely house in a perfect location for exploring Queenscliff.
- Brett (1/5): Hugely disappointed at the way its run and obviously no communication with booking.com - We cannot comment on Abaleen House as the owner told us it had been double booked and informed us 4 weeks after we had confirmed this booking with him, he even corresponded with us via booking.com then realised he had accepted a booking from someone else. The accommodation he gave as an alternative was far inferior yet he took the same payment and we had the inconvenience of being further away from our intended location. Yes he stated we could have cancelled and booked something in Queenscliff but I could not find anything suitable and as we were flying out from uk within days of his poor communication I just accepted it as we needed to guarantee somewhere and we could not risk not being in the area. Replacement was not homely fairly dusty and basic. Poor aircon dusty and inefficient
- Kerry (7/5): Good -
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (10/5): Beautiful period charm and comfortable stay. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch - What a great property! Stepping back in time and unwinding in this charming Victorian accommodation in the heart of Queenscliff, Victoria. With cozy interiors, classic elegance, and a touch of history, it's been a perfect stop at the end of the Great Ocean Road

- Daniel (10/5): Best place I have stayed - Everything. Walking distance to everything and the town was very quaint. The house was amazing and so full of character combining both modern comforts with vintage pieces. Parking was great. Very comfortable furniture and beds were very warm. An absolute credit to the team who manage this property
- Elizabeth (8/5): We had a great time. - Beautiful house. Amazing decoration, pictures, artefacts, furniture.
Great location. We felt a tea and coffee basket may make it a bit more welcoming.
So too in the bathroom. Little guest soaps.

- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melinda (10/5): Great value, great location and comfortable -
- Beverley (8/5): Very pleasant, electric blankets great, lounge heater very efficient, ideal for adult groups - Great location and the house is lovely and spacious. The lounge room heater is very efficient and the electric blankets much appreciated. I couldn't find any tea towels. :)
The cupboard where the tea and coffee were stored was too tall for me to reach. My husband could reach but as he has a stiff arm he couldn't put them back.
The garden is not suitable for children or larger pets as it is very small. It was great to be able to park in the back yard but the sliding wall gate could not be locked as far as I could see so that is of concern for children and pets, particularly as it opens onto a delivery lane for the businesses in the main street.
- Trish (9/5): Superb - Heritage value. Very comfortable. Quality fittings. Well appointed. Would certainly stay there again without any hesitation.
- Sue (10/5): Beautiful home in a welcoming community. - Beautiful location to celebrate our first anniversary. Close to shops, very clean, comfortable bedding with room heater, electric blanket and plenty of spare blankets, although even in the thick of winter this wasn’t needed. Kitchen, dining and lounge were in one very long space. Nothing
- Janette (8/5): Very good - Loved the cottage and the set up. 2 of the heat lamps in the bathroom didn't work.
- Utkarsh (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (9/5): Great off season break location - Perfect location in the middle of Queenscliff, walking distance to everything.

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, well equipped home with interesting decor, in excellent town location. Spa bath was a bonus.
- Judith (8/5): Central character cottage: a great place to stay. - The house was so central: walking distance to everything in Queenscliff. The off-street parking was appreciated. The house was characterful & the huge living area was lovely. The adjoining laneway was noisy from early in the morning with delivery trucks, demolition works & rubbish skip emptying.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. Beautiful old charming house with all the modern comforts & lots of space. Would definitely stay again & recommend it.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely home, and couldn't be a better location
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerda (8/5): Very good -
- Thano (8/5): We had a most enjoyable time in Queenscliff - Paul was very welcoming. The accommodation was charming and overall comfortable. The location was perfect. The living room and dining room was very open and spacious.
This is not a criticism but there was a strong dog odour mostly from the carpet of the main bedroom.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -

- Kay (8/5): We had 3 great days staying at charming Abaleen House and enjoying picturesque Queenscliff. - Fantastic location just off the main street. Lovely old cottage with great character and plenty of space. Very efficient heater, comfortable beds and very clean condition. Access to Netflix would be a plus, especially for family holidays. Some new DVD's would also be good.
- Melissa (8/5): we loved our stay and the host was excellent - the location was excellent could do with a spring clean
- Ellen (10/5): Do yourself a favour.... - Perfect location as it's in very close walking distance to shops, cafes/restaurants, pubs, ferry terminal for a day trip to Sorrento, beach, parks, galleries etc. Paul is friendly, helpful & gave us detailed information about the house, it's facilities & the area in general. Off street parking was great as we parked our 2 cars away for the whole time we were there. There is also ample street parking for bigger groups. The heating in the main area of the house works a treat as the nights are cooling down. My bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. Loved it all & definitely recommend. Thank you! Kind regards, Michelle. N/A

Abaleen is few steps from main street and plenty of cafes and eateries. Would highly recommend Abaleen - will definitely return. Could not have asked for better place to stay.
