Guest Reviews
- KTfulwood (10/5): -
- Fiona (4/5): Disappointed overall and would not book this accommodation again. - The property did not reflect the pictures on the website. We were looking forward to sitting in the garden however they are overgrown and not looked after. The outside decking and furniture are tired. The upstairs shower did not work properly which was annoying as we selected this property so we could have the second bathroom.
- Adam (8/5): Good overall with a great location nestled amongst the bush - Nestled amongst the trees surrounded by wildlife. Good location close to town but also far enough away. Finishes on the cupboards in kitchen were not great, water did not drain well from the master bedroom shower and overflowed into bathroom, no firewood for the fireplace.
- Peta (8/5): Very pretty forest home - Stunning setting in the forest
- Mervyn (4/5): let down by cleanliness - Location cleanliness
- Blee (8/5): Very good - Location
- Dean (10/5): The Kids wanted to move there and stay there as it was so well set up - Property was absolutely amazing set in the middle of the bush Nothing at all everything was spot on
- Silvano (10/5): Great location, clean and comfortable. - Very central. Nothing it was great.
- Tessa (4/5): Dirty and worn out - Location was great. Close to town but with a bush feel (if you ignore the close neighbours left and right). We watched 2 kangaroos nibbling on leaves as they moved through the bush right outside the house and lots of lizards sunning themselves on the deck- the kids thought that was great. That's about all it had going for it. The place is dirty and worn out, and just about everything was broken or very nearly broken- wobbly handles, towel rails and outdoor furniture. The pump for the spa wouldn't turn off unless turned off outside, the blind above the spa was mouldy and didn't work so we had to wedge a book behind it to stay down for privacy and to block the light from coming into the bedroom in the early morning. The windows in the kids' rooms were so dirty and mouldy that our baby blockout groblind wouldn't suction on until we cleaned the window - the wipe was completely black afterwards. The carpets are stained everywhere, missing drawer handles, there are poorly repaired holes in the walls, my husband had to repair the hose head to use it, the couch and occasional chairs downstairs were dirty and discoloured and the rug under the dining table was pretty much destroyed and filthy.
As per some other reviews, the garden looks nothing like the pictures. No grass, no garden to speak of, just bush, but we were prepared for that from reading other reviews, so that didn't bother us.
It was hard to relax when everything was just so dirty... I guess at least we didn't have to worry about our kids making it worse!
- Cindy (10/5): Excellent experience with bush and roo’s - Bush setting
- Rufustraveller (9/5): Beautiful, tranquil place - Excellent location, not far from the town. The house was surrounded by trees and was very tranquil. There were three comfortable bedrooms available, 2 bathrooms and a toilet off the laundry. We enjoyed the multiple living areas, both inside and out. The dishwasher was in the laundry, but at least there was one. Not much choice, as it wouldn’t fit in the kitchen
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charmaine (7/5): Conveniently located in the outskirts of Margaret River, Silvertrees is suitable for a family stay. - The beds were very comfortable. Having seperate areas upstairs was convenient. I loved the gardens & surrounding trees. The light fixtures were exactly head height for two of our family and they bumped into them a few times. The space between the main bed & wall is tight. Uncovered glass doors made the rooms cool.
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - Property was fantastic, nice and warm with heaters/fire and the deck outlooking over the bush was spectacular.
- Nicola (8/5): This was our first holiday as a family of 3 and we really loved it! The location was great, loved the spa bath and wood - Beautiful views!!! Unable to safely walk into town with a pram as there are no footpaths for a little while.
- Melanie (8/5): Beautiful place , would recommend - Beautiful place to stay , really loved it ❤️ That I had to go home ☹️
- Leonie (8/5): Comfortable, lovely almost in the forest setting - beautiful setting upstairs bathroom not clean, cutlery not clean
- Jan (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (7/5): Good - The location was fabulous. Only a couple of minutes from Margaret River town. The house was nestled in nature which was peaceful and beautiful.
It had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy! The house is tidy, however it is need of a deep clean. Under couches, beds and in the corners of our wardrobe were dirty. You will also need to sweep the decking on arrival.
Maintenance needed on certain items, for example, the main freezer/fridge didn't work properly, grill on the oven didn't work, part of the vacuum was broken, lots of the plates and glasses had chips/cracks in them and some of the electrical outlets made a crackling sounds, so we turned them off for safety. Hopefully the house can get some love as it is in an excellent location!
- Mystang20 (8/5): Enjoyed the stay very comfortable - The view and setting Furniture a bit outdated
- Tock (8/5): Very good - Big and comfortable house in quiet location
5 minutes drive from Margaret River Town. 3 out of 5 our family members were bitten by Midges. Advice to guests on Midge protection and care
, eg Insect repellent and medications, around Summer period will be useful.
- Kyla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alinagribble (9/5): Superb - Amazing location and the little bits and pieces around the house made it lovely and cosy The hot water supply wasn't sufficient. We ran out and several times and were unable to use the spa when we wanted. Also the shower in the main suite didn't didn't drain properly so had to cut showers very short.
