Guest Reviews
- Aaron (4/5): I would stay again but would expect it to be cleaner and not smell so bad - Was very confusing as off the multiple properties. It smells like old garbage
- Maria (6/5): - The pool was fantastic and the kids just loved it and the rooms were great. The people that own it were so lovely. There were quite a lot of cob webs on the ceilings and the linen had previous peoples hair/dog hair.
- Julie (10/5): -
- barby (10/5): Peace n quiet out of town - Would like to of seen cover of pool n more garden but guess ⁰ stablish in time All new lovely big spacious overall
- Antony (10/5): If you’re in Maryborough don’t stay here so it’s always available for me 😂 - It was in a great location, very easy to find, super clean, super comfortable, very spacious and relaxing. I’ll be back for sure. Nothing
- Kelli (9/5): Lovely hosts who provide clean and comfortable accomodation in their family home. - The property hosts (who you share the accomodation with) were very accomodating and friendly. Bronwen was available and quick to respond to any messages. The accomodation is very clean and comfortable, with a spacious living/dining room. The pool was a great distraction in the heat. The house is located just outside of Maryborough and handy for travelling the surrounding area. The kitchenette was functional and tidy, but a little small for family cooking.
- Kim (10/5): Absolute stunning place to stay Our stay was PERFECT - Absolutely loved the whole experience of staying here. From the moment we walked through the door we were instantly relaxed. The whole property is so well set up it’s beautifully decorated and just so comfortable. The pool was such a luxury to have as well and being heated even on a cooler day it was nice to be able to go for a swim.
Both Bronwen and Dennis were lovely and gave us some great suggestions for dinner in town.
We will definitely be staying with these guys again ♥️♥️ I honestly cannot think of anything we didn’t like
- Velkumar (10/5): Pet friendly accommodation with a pool. - The accommodation was quite clean and all amenities available. Not many places available with pool are pet friendly. So both my kid and dog were happy. Good place for a quiet weekend away from city life.
- Spiro (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful home with all the facilities you need. Perfect lie only five minutes from Maryborough. Fantastic swimming pool. Great hosts. We had a wonderful time. Holiday ended too quickly. 😂
- Pedersen (10/5): We had a wonderful relaxing time - Beautiful accomodation with pool - totally relaxing and dog friendly
- Candyce (8/5): Relaxing… - Clean, spacious, everything provided for, pool and dog friendly The owners are located at the property however you have full access to the pool which is great. Bronwen was lovely, but you just need to understand you’re not on the property by yourself.
- Silva (5/5): Not Ideal for a Relaxing Getaway - Pool This holiday home features a nice pool, but my experience was limited by the owners, an elderly couple living on-site. Their constant monitoring and messaging about rules felt intrusive, making it hard to enjoy any freedom.
If you’re planning a boys’ or girls’ trip, this isn't the right spot. The thin separation between living spaces means any noise travels easily, so forget about having music or a lively evening.
While the place has potential, the lack of privacy really detracts from the experience. I wouldn’t recommend it for those looking to relax and have fun.
- Mandeep (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Phillipa (9/5): Great break- well set up with a great pool - Lovely place, great pool and well set up for guests :) yard is secure which is great for those travelling with pets. Worth noting phone signal is not great in the area. Not a problem as excellent wifi but was a little challenging on arrival
- Geoffmz (10/5): Extremely clean and spacious - A little way out od town but not a problem for us Awful television reception - but that happens outside major centres
- Alison (10/5): Fabulous - The property was very nicely set out and lovely and clean. The owners were lovely as well. The location was great as well. Nil
- Alfaaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- No1danno (9/5): Superb - Just the stones under foot in the outdoor under cover area.
- Wombat (10/5): Highly recommended accomodation in Maryborough - Great accommodation, nicely decorated, comfy king beds, private BBQ and heated pool, very nice and helpful owners, quiet rural location and just 4 kms into town.
- Leanne (9/5): Loved it very clean. An friendly an all round great spot - All Nothing
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Don't bother with the motels this is the place to be. Spacious. Very comfortable would suit family or two couple's also as plenty of room and space. Easy drive into Maryborough. Recommended to everyone. You won't be disappointed. Nothing to dislike
It has it all.
- Sam (10/5): Made my stay enjoyable even though I was working - Spacious and comfortable Nothing it was awesome
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Maegan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nuwan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Katrina (8/5): Great place for family to have room to relax after exploring heritage sites - Clean and easy to find Thought we had full house access and locked car port.
- Meowmeow888 (10/5): Value for money and all the comforts of home away from home - Everything you need when working away Wifi/internet is not great, something to consider BUT through no fault of the hosts whatsoever.
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (9/5): lovely accommodation.. top notch - very nice touches all over the house.. very relaxing atmosphere and lots of privacy too the pool was a bit on the warm side but that's ok
- Leah (10/5): supremely clean and comfortable - spotlessly clean, everything you could need had been thought about and provided. beautiful wallpaper showing local historic buildings really added a lovely touch the check in was a bit confusing but once I called and clarified it was all fine. the wifi and mobile was a bit patchy but owners have provided a booster to get around most of the problems
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay at the Ross's home, they were divine hosts.
Alma Retreat is just that ! Such a beautiful and tranquil oasis just a 4-5 minute drive into Maryborough , although it's close to the highway we didn't hear any traffic at all. Bronwyn & Dennis clearly have excellent decorating abilities. The 2 bedroom home has everything you could possibly need (or want), from spotless and well equipped kitchen facilities, bbq area,, to cosy decor comfy sofas, snuggly blankies and cushions. The king size beds were beautfully dressed, and very inviting, we slept so soundly. I could go on.... but I could not recommend this gorgeous place highly enough, it's superb. We will definitely return. We loved everything
