Guest Reviews
- Simon (7/5): Accommodation okay. Great Ocean Road Holidays communication-terrible. - Tranquil bush setting & wildlife. Older facilities, hire linen (should be included).
No Wi-Fi.
- Alison (5/5): Weekend getaway - The location was nice and quiet. Lack of cleanliness. No toilet paper. Also arrived to find 4 logs for the fire even though we specified via msgs to ensure ample firewood was left to cover the 2 nights we stayed. Ended up having to purchase wood and kindling.
- Noel (9/5): Bushlark is an older house, but the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms are fine and we enjoyed our stay - Bushlark property was rustic and had lots of character with a cosy wood fire, a pool table, a peaceful outdoor deck and lots of trees with active birdlife. The large living area was good for relaxing with plenty of space. There are three bedrooms with comfortable beds and an excellent layout. We had the master bedroom with an ensuite which was a lovely treat.
The property is set in a quiet street in a bush setting.
The kitchen was fine and the bathrooms were good.
Also, there was good off-street parking. The house is older and so it would benefit from some new interior painting and a general 'spruce-up'.
The kitchen is adequate but some of the appliances (e.g. microwave) are older and need to be replaced with new modern gear.
While we enjoyed the 'secluded' location, it is a reasonable distance to the village centre and the beach - really a bit too far to walk to those places within a reasonable time.
- Philip (7/5): Good -
- Hendricksen (7/5): Satisfactory stay for a family holiday - Location & peaceful. Communication with Great Ocean real estate. Having to clean mould on windows in bedroom 2 & 3 ground floor with 2 single beds & also opposite bedroom window , blinds very hard to work in games room & kitchen, cold tap handle broken in laundry sink,
backyard fence not completely secure for animals. Having to pay a extra $154 for bed linen, towels etc. Some area's of the house needed to be cleaned before we could use. Check out to early should be 12pm as couldn't check in til after 3pm.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - The setting was beautiful and very peaceful, the balcony was very spacious up among the trees. The birdlife was lovely and being able to have our dogs with us was a huge bonus. The addition of a proper coffee machine was greatly appreciated, the webber barbeque was great as well. Well priced accomodation. The house, although quite comfortable could do with a bit of TLC. A coat of paint throughout, new pillows (we did take our own l must admit) and an upgrade of kitchen pots and pans, crockery and some decent sharp knives would certainly not go astray. I don't want to sound like we didn't enjoy our stay because we did but these are the things that l feel would have taken our trip from good to great.
