• Greg (6/5): Great little cottage, but needs some updating. - Very clean, all linen spotless, great location. Enjoyable little cottage to stay in. Both single mattresses need replacing, very uncomfortable. Kitchen in need of a larger fry pan and a microwave. Bath towels and some pillows need updating.
• Pauline (4/5): I do not recommend staying at this house. - Extra bits and pieces like salt pepper cling wrap etc The single beds were very uncomfortable and sofa bed was horrendously uncomfortable with what felt like wood right up the middle with next to no padding. The bathroom is so small and it is impossible to dry yourself from the shower and not bump into everything. The bathroom and toilet have no ceiling and allows noise and odours to travel. The lounge is broken and has lost support and is uncomfortable to sit in. The house leaks when raining ( the refrigerator is sitting on a pallet) water runs in at the back door and ponds around the kitchen/living area. This space seems to be at ground level ( perhaps a converted car space) The smoke detectors don't adhere to regulations. No microwave No dishwasher Air-conditioning is moldy House smells damp and in need of a lot of renovation. Water damage on cabinet doors in kitchen and bathroom The high tide comes into the street so you need to park up on the grass.
• Linda (8/5): My family and I enjoyed our time in Lota using this little cottage as our base. - Lovely quiet location close to water and train station. The bathroom was tiny. The billiard table takes up a lot of space in the living area. No microwave.

• Jolene (7/5): - The property was fine. The owners was absolutely lovely and communicated very well. The beds were very squeaky and not very comfortable. The lounge was also very worn. Everything was fine.
• Eve (10/5): Best stay of our lives - We booked this on a whim when we had some last minute changes to our plan & I am SO glad we did. The place is kept very clean and has everything you would need & more. Valerie and her husband are very welcoming hosts. We loved having the bikes & kayaks, they made it so much fun. The area is stunning, beautiful birds & lots of possums around at night. Really quiet and peaceful. I also had a last minute small niche urgent issue, I needed some wire cutters for a piercing that had gone bad, an odd request for Valerie to receive I’m sure! But she asked around and found me a neighbour willing to help. So overall, really went above and beyond to make everything just perfect. On top of that, value for money is bananas! There isn’t a single thing we didn’t like, except the fact we couldn’t stay longer!!!!

• Beat (8/5): Very good - Great location. 2 (small) bathrooms. Clean. Quiet neighbourhood (apart from some jetski noise during high tide). Pool table. A microwave in the kitchen would be good.
• Donna (7/5): I enjoyed having my morning coffee out the front watching all the runners, walkers bike riders. - I liked the location and how clean the property was. The pillows I like a firmer pillow, that's just my preference.
• Jane (9/5): A little treasure of a place. - We were met on arrival and shown through the house and where we could find everything. Parking was just outside the door. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The queen bed was very comfortable. The air con was effective and very quiet. There was even a pool table, which was fun. The location was nice - in a quiet area, across from a little park and boat ramp, with lots of restaurants farther along the Esplanade. We'd definitely stay again. The couches in the lounge weren't comfortable but I believe the owner is looking into that.

• Ryn (10/5): Amazing experience, with the aircon, location and vibe, the place is 100% worth staying. - The place was nice and tidy, and the lounge room was beautiful for all of us to just relax. Not to mention the perfect air conditioners in the rooms were incredible. As well as the beds, super comfy and really nice to sleep on. The area as well was perfect, right next to the beautiful water meant nice breezes, plus with the park right there as well as being very close to the train station meant for a perfect experience for me and my friends. The bathrooms were a tad small, but nothing that really bothered any of us. Honestly nothing was bad at all, we all had a very pleasant experience.

Only wish was that the kitchen had a microwave, but we managed without for the week. Otherwise it had everything we needed.

Across the road from water front, great walks, tranquil and pleasant. Although I didn't use, having the option for the Kayaks and Bikes was awesome. Would highly recommend this cute cottage. Honestly, nothing I didn't like.

• Zoe (6/5): Overall we liked staying at the cottage because it was cheaper than a regular hotel. But I was disappointed that the hea - Close to the water, lovely walks nearby. Pool table was fun and the cottage was very cute. Bedroom heater didn’t work very well, even after the owner attempted to fix it. The heater looked dirty inside and smelled mouldy - it needs replacing or a pressure wash done. The bed my parents slept on had springs poking through the mattress and old linen. There was a possum stuck in the roof which made it hard to sleep.

Host was very helpful and friendly. Lovely spot - just as described !. Quiet and peaceful !. Opposite a lovely park and Moreton Bay. Very clean and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Quirky property but highly recommended. Lota fish and chip shop was very good !. Watch out for Midgie bites after dark by the water - very itchy ! Nothing to do with the property but well worth taking some insect spray.
