Guest Reviews
- Emilie (10/5): Great place - Very nice place. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.
Location was perfect too: close to the beaches and the town. Nothing
- YIYI (10/5): 性价比高,非常舒适 - 感谢房东为我们准备的一切,就像在家里一般温馨,若有机会再来Esperance的话,希望还有机会再选择入住这里。 没有
- Kyle (10/5): Really enjoy the location and everything was nice and clean - Everything was perfect! The best location The bikes were not ride able because one of the wheels was broken
- Ganna (10/5): -
- Guest (10/5): - The neighbourhood cat (Casper) was a friendly bloke.
- Ann (9/5): We really enjoyed the welcoming feeling of the house. Would love to stay here again. - Lovely decor, comfortable beds, comfortable seating areas, lovely balcony, great supplies like chocolates, coffee pods and coffee machine, a lovely variety of teas and handy condiments. We appreciated the comprehensive information folder and tourist information.
- Weiyan (9/5): -
- Matthew (9/5): Great spot. - Quaint, sloping floors. Great location. The view from the balcony, the driveway a little tough to get out of.
- YAO (10/5): -
- kyle (8/5): -
- Shanai (8/5): -
- Dean (9/5): Charming cottage style stay with everything needed available. - All the amenities needed for a layover and the house has that cottage charm.
- Joel (1/5): - I did not like the staff I got
- Deidre (8/5): Enjoyed our stay very much. - Good location. Very comfortable & cosy. Great beds. Host very accomodating.
- Kaushik (10/5): Exceptional - The property was clean. Location was good. Enjoyed 3 nights there.
- Craig (8/5): Quirky cottage, good location - The cottage was well laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. Nice and comfortable. It's also in a good location and is within a 15 minute walk to the shopping area.
- Yoo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neesha (10/5): Brooke has made the house amazing - Fantastic house. Loved the outdoor shower. House is very well equipped. Easy walk to town. Would stat here again.
- Katharine (8/5): Very good - Cottage was very clean and very well equipped and very nice feel to it. Outside shower a great addition!
We were disappointed the outside area looked over the road.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Flavie (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is so cosy and cute ! View is nice, easy to go to the town centre. It's a little noisy with the road at front
- Aniket (8/5): Very good - Rustic place with lots of older yesteryear furniture. Well appointed. Roomy. Clean. Lovely expresso machine. Lots of personal touches and very homely. It is just next to a flyover and the traffic noise started at 5am. Double glazed windows helped but my partner prefers windows open. A bit better collection of pots and pans would help. The photo on Booking.com which suggests uninterrupted views of the beach is completely misleading.
- Amanda (10/5): Very cozy and very clean. - Very cozy for a small family with everything we needed for a great holiday. Good location made it easy to get to the beach or town centre.
- Roseen (8/5): Very good - The quirkiness of the building.
Closeness to the town centre, walking distance.
The property has everything we needed plus extras, books, games etc. The drive way😐😂 Getting down a very steep drive and onto a busy road was a bit confronting!
The location was not quite as indicated, eg walking to the beach was maybe a tad inconvenient.
A bit more hanging space especially in the second bedroom would be a good idea.
- Robyn (8/5): Cosy Cottage - It's a lovely little cottage perched on a hill close to town. We were very comfortable! The internet was abit hit & miss but apparently Telstra was doing a network upgrade during the time we were there!
- Shelly (9/5): Superb - Nice and cosy place. Really enjoyed the view from the veranda especially at night.
- Patricia (10/5): Fabulous 3 nights at Twilight Cottage - Everything! Cosy, very well equipped and walking distance into town. There were chocolates provided which were very nice also teas, coffees and milk. After 3 weeks travelling it was great to have a washing machine with detergent provided. Nothing
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Leanne (10/5): Overall the property was welcoming, clean and functional. - Location was central to town. Self sustainability and eating on the verandah outdoors watching the view. Steep driveway and difficult to operate tv.
- Gavin (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (9/5): Comfortable cottage with thoughtful host - Nice to have own space and cottage fitted out with more than usual so enjoyed being able to cook own food. Brooke has thought of everything and great communication via Booking.com. Could have stayed longer. Nothing we were not aware of when booking. It has a steep driveway but knew that and could park at bottom and walk up if did not want to drive up. We reversed in so safer to drive out into the road.
- Robert (10/5): Loved it ! Thank you - The water get hot quickly in kitchen sink !!! Otherwise all good ! Thanks for the chocolates!
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosanna (8/5): Very good - Location was wonderful.
- Pat (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Meredith (8/5): Lovely quaint cottage in Esperance - Very nice cottage, well equipped .
- Leanne (10/5): When I return to Esperance this is definitely where I will try to come back to. - Such a cosy little cottage with everything you could possible need. It was comfortable and warm, and such a great location.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this quirky little place..
Has everything you need to have a lovely getaway..
- Ryan (8/5): Very good - Very cute little cottage with everything we needed for a few nights winter stay in esperance. Fantastic location! Walking distance to the town and restaurants and a short distance to the great ocean drive and amazing beaches.
- Skye (10/5): Warm and welcoming. - The feel of the home was wonderful, the minute you walked in it felt relaxing and welcoming. N/A
- Merlin (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (9/5): Lovely quirky cottage, very comfortable, great view. - Loved this quirky little cottage. A great view from the living area and kitchen and deck. Lovely rooms with very comfy beds. Great shower and bathroom. Full kitchen and dining area. Lots of options on the TV. The cottage has an endearing 'lean' to it which we loved The property has a steep driveway that goes out onto a busy road, but easy once you do it once or twice.
- Margaret (7/5): Three nights in May 24 - Spacious older style quiet cottage, good laundry facilities and plenty of hot water for showers. Comfortably furnished. Not completely cleaned prior to our visit - items left in freezer from previous occupant. When notified however owner was extremely apologetic and offered to send cleaner back.
Dishwasher did not appear to operate properly and washing pellet was left undissolved in machine.
The main bed pillows were leaning on a powerpack cable with the powerpack balancing on the side table.
Car access to the narrow steep driveway was quite challenging as entry/ exit was onto a busy curved road.
- Philip (10/5): A great house in an excellent location - A lovely period inspired property. Host was most friendly and accommodating. Excellent location on a little hill with views of the harbour and town. Very well equipped kitchen with heaps of spare crockery and cutlery. Washing machine and dryer was very convenient. Comfortable bed. Well looked after cottage. We would like to have stayed longer!
- Edinson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lange (7/5): Enjoyed our stay in Esperance - accommodation was basic but comfortable. - Neat, clean, private, all necessities provided, beds and linen good. Balcony extra room and distant view of harbour. TV set up needed more explanation for use - reception was constantly intermittent.
Convenient location but close to road overpass noisy at times.
- Candice (9/5): Superb -
- Francis (10/5): Great - Comfortable
Well equipped
BBQ
Fantastic outdoor hot shower
Good communication from owner
Beautiful beaches close by Nothing
- Phillip (7/5): Good -
- Paula (7/5): Good - There were lots of lovely touches that made the stay very homely. It was quaint and has a lot of potential. The place really needs some work done to it. I can see the owner is trying to do Reno's but alot more needs to be done.
- Lorraine (6/5): We were comfortable here and it had loads of space for the two of us. - The proximity to town was good. It was a quirky property with cool items and good thought put into it. Bed was comfortable. Did not realise it was on a main road going around a bend. Pictures showed the grassed area looking over the water. Not quite like that. You can see the water from the decking however there is a main road in front of the property. Wifi was really bad.
- Dr. (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy atmosphere
- Deb (8/5): Very good -
- Angelo (7/5): Good - Location The house is really nice, old but with all the comforts. Unfortunately the bed sheets were dirty, they had not been changed, the dryer filter full of dust, the vacuum cleaner equally full of rubbish. We struggled to find the No. 7, it would be better to put it on the road so we could see it right away. All in all it was nice, too bad the cleanliness is really poor.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation in a great position. So clean and well appointed. We loved it. There was nothing to dislike.
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hewlett (10/5): Exceptional - Adorable, inspirational cottage. Beautifully done. Was all good.
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (9/5): Enjoyed stay in lovely quirky house, well located for access to Esperance centre. - It was a lovely quirky little house with a beach house charm. The kitchen was very well equipped- we cooked in most evenings and it had everything we needed to cook for four. The beds were very comfy and nicely dressed. It was an easy walk to the Esplanade and into town which was great for my parents in law who are in their early eighties (they are very fit!). It was great to have basics -tea coffee oil salt pepper and our host even left a lovely box of chocolates. Our host was also really easy to get hold of and messaged back very promptly. The property is next to a new road bridge which is a little bit noisy when you sit on the balcony but the house is nice and quiet inside.
- Gail (5/5): Passable - The location was great The toilet smells
- Angie (9/5): Overall very good - All amenities meant are need especially having a coffee machine and pods available to use after a long trip Internet issues and could of had better electrical sockets in the bedrooms driveway was also a bit hairy having to reverse out onto the road
- Jo-an (9/5): Superb -
- Indra (4/5): Disappointing - Nice atmospheric fit out. The noise and location. Located on bend of main road out of town. Also right next to goods railway servicing port industrial area so there is constant noise from griding metal etc as goods wagons pass. No soundproofing in this lovely old timbet cottage.
- Kiarra (10/5): Amazing 👏 - Great little house the owners have made sure not leave out anything from salt and pepper to coffee and sugar and milk. Great location close to town and beaches.
The beds are very comfortable and the linen was very clean. The washing machine and dryer came in handy.Bring your own beach towels.
We can't thank you enough for sharing your beach house with us. The TV remote was broken for the telstra box this was not so bad we played board games and enjoyed family time. Also, there were no cloths to wipe over surfaces I'm sure this is a one-off, though. And the WiFi reception was not so great again this was not a bad thing as we spend quality time I was happy to let the kids have some down time other than on a screen haha.
- Lee-anne (9/5): The property was very comfortable and a bit quirky with the sloping floors. - The location was great. Every time I drove over the bridge and saw the cottage it made me smile and I looked forward to going there. The driveway.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - Location near town was good and the view and deck were great. Good sharp knives and a pod coffee machine with pods made the trip even better. Nothing
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Convenient location with a fantastic view and plenty of sunshine bathing the deck. Laundry with soap powder. Well equipped kitchen. Only parking for one car.
- Lene (8/5): Quirky but comfortable cottage, close to centre of Esperance. - This is a period style cottage with matching furniture. Comfortable and clean with an efficient reverse air-con system which heated the cottage up quickly. We liked the generous supply of pillows and good bedside lighting in the main bedroom. Kitchen was 1950/60s period style but had efficient dishwasher, coffee machine etc. We enjoyed sitting at the bench looking out over the town both in the morning and the evening. Good hot water supply in bathroom for showers. Supply of pretty soaps was appreciated. Easy walking distance into town. The cottage was a little difficult to locate on a dark, rainy night. It does sit overlooking the main access road into the port but as this is sunken, we had no real issues with this and no noise problems. Missed free-to-air TV access as we don't have streaming subscriptions. Lighting in sitting area a little bleak.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (9/5): The location was exceptional due to being right on Ocean Drive and centre of town. - Great location. Everything you needed was there.
- Klaus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cherie (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it rained it was perfect - Loved the warm inviting feel of the cottage There was nothing to dislike about this cottage
- Chanel (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Comfortable - The wireless connection was really poor if you need internet for business wouldn't suit stay
- Carey (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable - Great old fashioned house. Squeaky floorboards. Good hot water. Very comfortable
- Penelope (9/5): Lovely spot with character -
- Anto (10/5): Excellent, very good 👍 - 👌 Shower Taps
- Fiona (9/5): Very enjoyable - Vintage cottage, complete with sloping floors. Cosy and very comfortable. Good views. Close to everything. We’ll have to come back in warmer weather to try the outside shower.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - The house is well provisioned. The art work and the retro posters are a great feature. Very comfortable and Brooke has supplied lovely additions.
Esperance is about the beaches and the house is well located to access them. There is warm outside shower that is a brilliant experience after the swimming.
- Steph (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect ! Fabolous ! We felt home and absolutely loved our stay at the Twilight Cottage !! I recommend it 100% Nothing
- Verdonk (8/5): Very good - Location and the accommodation met our requirements TV reception could not get my favourite sport on the TV
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Lorraine (8/5): The Quirky twilight cottage stay - Clean, tidy, included extras like glad wrap and oil, salt and pepper Drippy shower taps, had to keep turning off tightly to stop dripping. Had to leave bathroom light on to see way to toilet at night as slopping floor puts you off balance.
- Aisling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (9/5): Super cottage close to Esperance’s attractions - the veranda, the proximity to Great Ocean Drive & kitchen facilities nothing
- Patricia (9/5): Comfortable and good ambiance. - Made our own breakfast. Location was convenient. Lack of storage in second bedroom. The iron didn't work.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - Well equipped and decorated. Location was walking distance to town centre and beaches.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- He (10/5): We had a wonderful time staying in this cozy house during our holidays. - The property is clean and cozy. The owner is very considerate and has provided almost everything we needed during our stay, including the games to entertain the kids. None.
- Ray (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): Very enjoyable - How close to everything and in walking distance for food and water front
- June (5/5): not good, with a blocked drain, which the visiting plumber acknowledged as a known problem. - The unavailability of LiveTV was unacceptable particularly as this a general form of entertainment for many holiday- makers , both for morning news and evening viewing. It was fortunate that our Queen's funeral was not held whilst we were at this place, after all it's hardly in the desert.
- Sheena (10/5): Exceptional - great little cottage!
- Catherine (8/5): charming old cottage - charming, wonderful decor, attention to detail, everything you need for a stay of a few days, views - while not of the sea they provided great outlook over the area and sunset beds were too soft, would have liked face cloths in bathroom and hot pads in the kitchen
- Nicholas (10/5): Beautiful location and dwelling. Excellent - The location, view and bedding. The towels.
