• Demi (7/5): Suited our short stay and was pleasant and well located - The property is a simple well kept property. Great position great for small kids as the property is secure. Otherwise the property was neat and tidy and suited our purpose of the stay and were satisfied. Some elements could be better for people staying , 1 internet service was poor , and just a general upgrade of bits and pieces of property to making it more pleasant for customers. Eg I replaced hose connection as it was broken, aircon is not enough strength for house and heat in summer.

• Barbara (5/5): Our short sojourn at Blacksmiths. - The location and its proximity to Lake's shoreline, beaches, and Swansea. This accommodation is a sad little place which is in need of TLC and some bath towels. The durable couches are tatty and past their use-by date. There are holes in walls, broken crockery, and taps, to name a few things. When we arrived, we used the PIN number (to unlock the front door), which was originally issued to us. It didn't work, and as we'd arrived a few minutes ahead of time, we went for a coffee, thinking that, on return the Wi-Fi for the door lock would have adjusted when we returned. Not so! I called the mobile number on the "lock instruction sheet" and was informed that I had the wrong PIN. We were given a new PIN number, and the owner told me that she normally sends a "new one" half an hour before the guests "anticipated arrival time." During this conversation, I was told that there were no bath towels and that I should have properly read the preamble before making the booking. This wasn't a great start to our short holiday. At 11.30 pm, the fire alarm started beeping. This lasted until we left 36 hours later. On the morning of our departure, the dishwasher (which we didn't use) turned on at 8.00 am. with a 3 hour wash cycle.

It’s well-designed, clean, and comfortable, with all the essentials provided. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living space is cozy and inviting. The backyard is a fantastic space for children, with a charming beach hut and a fun slippery dip that keeps them entertained for hours. It’s a great setup for families looking to relax while the kids play in a safe and enjoyable environment. The location is ideal—whether you want to explore the area, enjoy local attractions, or just unwind, everything is conveniently close by. The hosts have clearly put a lot of effort into making sure guests have a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again! Needing to pack up and go home.

• Jason (8/5): Fully equiped bach in lovely location close to beautiful beaches - Accessible to lovely locations, comfortable beds and great having kitchen and inside/outside dining options. Loved the dvd collection and games :-)) I don’t like to moan about things as we appreciated what we had - it is a bach/crib quality of home and that’s what we could afford. The oven was unusual and took a bit of working out - bottom oven only has bottom element so to cook the top you need to transfer to top oven. Floors uneven … we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay though

There is one small aircon in the loungeroom and ceiling fans in the bedroom. You need to ensure all blinds are windows are closed from early afternoon. Wifi would be a welcome addition.

• Sharlene (10/5): Relaxing Getaway From The City - One of the best hidden gems we have found on Airbnb. Perfect location as it is only 5 mins from heads beach and the Swansea RSL. I'd highly recommend this place for families or anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind. The owners are amazing & very accommodating, the beach house was clean and provided all the basics needed for our family retreat. Grandkids absolutely loved the tree hut and board games!
