Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): We loved staying at Beached @ Yamba, we’ll be back! - We loved the location and feel of the property. Having the seperate areas upstairs and downstairs was great especially with teenagers being able to have their own space. The back yard was amazing especially the hammock, Not having a dishwasher but it wasn’t a huge concern.
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Marg (9/5): Always love staying in such a great house with plenty of room for an extended family. - Great location perfect for our family group.
- Mellissa (10/5): -

- Perry (10/5): Nice and clean, well appointed and a great location. - Nice and clean, well appointed and a great location.
- Chill777 (7/5): - It was roomy and had everything we needed. The balcony was great. It had a fully fenced backyard for our dog
- Indre (10/5): Amazing property with a big garden . It felt like home. -

- Belinda (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (8/5): Excellent value & super for families with pets - Very close to Yamba town Lots of mosquitoes
- Melinda (7/5): Good - We stayed as a family of four and found the home comfortable for our three-night stay. It’s in a very central location, within easy walking distance to both the town and the beach. Good size room and great back yard for kids and pets. There is no oven, only a stove top and an outdoor BBQ. While the BBQ was a nice option, it wasn't ideal having to cook outside in the rain. Even a small appliance like an air fryer would have been helpful.
The house is located on Yamba's main road, which means it can be quite busy and noisy, especially during peak times.
The towels and bed linens were damp and had a musty smell. Additionally, there was noticeable mould on the bathroom ceiling. Given the recent wet weather, the house could benefit from a thorough airing and some maintenance.
- Glenn (9/5): Superb - Amazing location, short walk to the best that Yamba has to offer.
- Ashleigh (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Comfortable, spacious, and clean. Great for our family and pup. - Beautiful home, our children and dog loved it. Very clean and well cared for. Location was great, less than a 10 min wander along the river (pathed) to town with our 3 kids and pup. The markets are only a few mins walk away on a Sunday.
- Ruby (9/5): We had a great stay and will definitely consider booking again if we visit Yamba! - This was a great property for our stay with the two seperate living areas. It was great that it was dog friendly as well. Pretty much everything you need from a holiday home was there. The downstairs room had a slightly off-putting smell that didn’t disappear when airing out the room and there was quite a bit of dirt/twigs on the floor which we just swept up before settling in. These two things may be due to the recent weather in this area, so we didn’t think much of it. It would be great if there was a bigger indoor space for pets are there are quite a few mozzies and the laundry was a bit too small for our dogs. It would also be awesome if there was cooking oil.
- Sopa (9/5): Superb -

- Tania (10/5): Perfect family Christmas. Our first trip to Yamba and we will go back. We would love to stay in the same house. - Great location. Wonderful back garden which we loved relaxing in. House big enough for us to become comfortable.
- Caroline (10/5): Wonderful Stay, fantastic house for family and dog , comfy bed, beautiful garden, highly recommend! - Fabulous Holiday home with everything needed for an easy and relaxing stay. Huge backyard for our kelpie and loved that downstairs is self contained with air conditioning, whilst our teenage daughters stayed upstairs while we had peace and quiet downstairs. Easy walk into town and all round great place with lovely front balcony and back deck to relax on surrounded by lush tropical plants. I accidentally left my medication in bedside table and owner was very prompt in getting it sent back to my address in Sydney at no extra charge , very grateful and will definitely book again.
- Deb (8/5): Fab family weekend in great spot - Location
Space for privacy
Clean
Functional
Well equipped kitchen Had to refill gas bottle for bbq
Laziefare attitude of owner when encountered issues with door keypad lock and bbq gas
Owner does not live locally and maybe needs to have local contact in case of issues / problems for guests.

We were pleasantly surprised by the huge backyard which was great for our dogs. It is a lovely property, very comfortable and well set up. There was nothing we didn't like.

- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eliese (8/5): Nice house, beautiful location. Few small issues. - House was nicely set out, decorated modern. The location beautiful. The kids loved the backyard and the hammock. There was some large black mould patches on the ceiling on the upper floor ( guessing beacuse the house has little ventilation). Because of this we slept the children downstairs. Little things included no oven, no potato masher ( we needed this for dinner)
- Elizabeth (9/5): Wonderful place, tastefully set up and unreal location. Would happily return -
- Jasmin (10/5): Beautiful coastal space for all the family - Dual living set up which was perfect for our group of travellers. My elderly mother stayed in the below bedroom which had everything that she needed without having to walk up the stairs. Beautiful big yard for us to sit and laze about, watching the bird life.
- Joseph (10/5): amazing perfect stay -
- Gavin (10/5): Great house in a great location. Would certainly stay again. - Great house in a great location. Would certainly stay again. One of the guests left their phone at the house. the owner quickly contacted us, so we were able to return to pick it up before we left the area. Great service.
- Anne (8/5): Super comfortable. - Good location under 1k from town and opposite a lovely large park and overlooking the river. It was well equipped, enjoyed the balcony and was quite a cool property. The Weber BBQ on the deck was wonderful - sparkling clean and almost new - would like to have used it more often but we had so many cafes and restaurants we wanted to try as well. Super comfortable bed. Great enclosed yard at the back for pooches or kids. Nil.
- Donna (7/5): Lovely place to stay, but cleanliness was totally unacceptable. A/C was so chock full of dirt and grime, we couldn’ - Beautiful coastal home. Very comfortable. Great bed. Great location. Very dirty. Visible things that should absolutely be cleaned.
- Walsh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deanne (9/5): Affordable stay for families with kids or fur babies. - Perfect location with views from upstairs over the yacht club, and easy driving distance into shops, restaurants and beaches. Our dogs loved the safe yard to play in.

The house felt immediately welcoming, and we felt really at home.
There was a beautiful, secure back yard.
The host was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants and attractions. NA
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location, close to beaches, shops and takeaway food.
Well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and comfy beds.
Great for families, with a separate self contained area downstairs.
Enclosed back yard, great for the dog.
Walkway to marina, beaches, Rockwall, shops opposite the house.
- Anastasia (9/5): Perfect for your family Yamba stay! - The location of the property is perfect!
The house itself is spacious and quaint! The crockery and utensils were dirty, everything needed a clean. Lots of dog hair and dust inside the home, looks like someone with a large fluffy white dog has recently been there! Cleaner needs to throughly give the place a spring clean.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Justinejm (7/5): Great vibe to house, Good for the doggo's. Yamba is a great spot to visit. - Liked the house and garden, great for the dog. Lovely to sit on the balcony. The house has a great feel to it and lovely sea breeze. Close to walk to the Bowlo but a bit far with our 4 year old to town. Great beaches in Yamba including surf and flat water. The cleaning is not up to scratch in the house. There was a greasy pan in the draw. The dust under the sofa and beds is thick. My four year old grandson found a packet of cigarettes and a lighter in the bedroom bedside drawer. The verandah has nails sticking up that I was worried about as my grandson could have badly stubbed his toe.
- Rachel (8/5): So relaxing - Location, cleanliness
- Andrea (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amy (8/5): Cute little beach stay waking distance to town and loca cafes. - We loved that it was an original little beach shack with some much character. It's so cute!!
Loved that it was easy to access and it's just a short stroll into town.
Being dog friendly meant we could bring our dog along on our family holiday which is a must for us. The guest soap and shampoo and conditioner could be a little more better quality/ generous. Next time we will remember to bring our own. 😊
- Maryann (5/5): Nice old beach house with character but the traffic noise is overwhelming during the day. - Nice style to the old beach house, but the back stairs handrail very wobbly and there is no second set of stairs - is this compliant with fire regulations? Bed were comfortable, linen was good. Kitchen well fitted out, but the dishwasher is not useful - eg the dinner plates don't fit and it takes over 2 hours to do a wash. Backyard is lovely, enjoyed the hammock under the trees. The traffic noise was worse than I had anticipated. Had to keep the door closed most of the day. But it did get quieter at night. Main upstairs shower needs a good clean around door hinges. There was a dead pigeon in the middle of the back yard when we arrived. I put it in the wheelie bin - it was dessicated, had been there for a while.
- Kylie (8/5): Very good - That it was close to everything.
Nice walking track across the road.
Good layout for 2 Adults and 4 kids.
Able to take our dogs
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Meyer (8/5): Very good -
- Gordon (10/5): Comfortable beach shack, with beautiful views and close to everything - Good set up, with separate zones for two groups. Others could have their own kitchen/TV and enjoy themselves It was quite cold at night. We ended up purchasing electric blankets.
- Jason (9/5): Great location, set back from road so peaceful, the Cavoodle loved the yard - No breakfast provided.
Location really central but no in the centre of town, quiet & peaceful Nothing
- Natalie (10/5): Fabulous Place to stay , plenty of room for the family - Great house , perfect location. Liked the coded door, much better than carrying keys around . Good size yard and loved the hammock.House has everything a family needs. Would love to stay again .
- Bev (8/5): Comfortable home. Good backyard for large, outdoor dogs. - The accommodation was fine. We were very comfortable. The back yard was beautiful with some ancient old trees. Saying the yard was fully fenced on the website was fine for large dogs but our small ones could get through the sheep wire fence which meant we couldn't leave them unsupervised. A roll of chicken wire over that would solve the problem. Also, it wasn't advertised on the website that dogs weren't allowed in the house and one of ours had recently had surgery and we couldn't leave it alone at night. Plus the mention of snakes is a bit of a worry for very small dogs like ours. Calling it Beached at Yamba is a bit misleading. We thought we'd be closer to the beach.
- Sara (8/5): So relaxing and such a tranquil spot! everything I wanted in a getaway - Amazing location, beautiful relaxing backyard Could have been cleaner, need a good deep clean from dust and cobwebs in windows and dog hair on spare blankets in cupboard.
- Peta (8/5): Very good -
- Marg (10/5): A great place to relax and enjoy the seaside beauty that is Yamba - A well presented spacious property that fitted our family of 4 adults and 2 children beautifully. It has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, great balcony with a bbq and a large back yard. Overall it is very well maintained inside and out.
- Toby (7/5): Good -
- Amit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (8/5): Beautiful home and the locals are so welcoming. - Everything you needed at the property was there.
They thought of everything Mosquitoes
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (9/5): Beach house vibes, comfortable & relaxing - Comfortable & relaxing, beautiful peaceful back yard. Handy to everything. Nothing comes to mind
- S (8/5): no dramas, lovely home nd outlook, just off the road so quieter than I was expecting, kid friendly, - Spacious and modern, air conditioned and fans needed. clean and well set out. Pretty central to most things. Our 5yo rode his bike to skate park and park and river and easy drive to Angourie. maybe needed one more air con somewhere as it was hot at night still. A few ants on kitchen bench (but not bad at the time)
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, dog friendly, comfortable set-up and nice decor. Walking distance to beach and town centre.
- Penny (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn1971 (8/5): Great weekend stay checking out Yamba - Convenient location within walking distance to the beach. it appeared some of the bed sheets hadn’t been changed as there was stains on them.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb - Nice, relaxing holiday house.Good location easy walking distance of everything, lovely back yard. Fairly disappointed that there wasn't an oven, which is listed as one of the appliances in the kitchen. As we were arriving in the afternoon I brought from home our dinner that just needed to bake in the oven,so we could all relax and catch up over a glass of wine. Not exactly sure how many meals you can prepare with a cooktop and a bbq. That would be my only complaint
- Elisemgu (9/5): Would definitely stay again - Beautiful location and pet friendly! The host is very friendly. Nothing to mention
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - loved that it was dog friendly and clean
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Carruth (8/5): Great house - Great balcony and backyard. Comfortable beds. Dog friendly. Close to markets, bowling club, shops and beach. Not very clean. Seemed rushed.
