• Three-Bedroom House

  This holiday home has a balcony, CD player and oven. The advertised price is a discounted price for guests who are happy to bring their own sheet sets and towels. If you would prefer to hire linen and have your beds made up this can be arranged for $25 per bed (including bath towels). Three bedroom holiday home consisting of three bedrooms, 2 x queen size beds and 1 x double bunk and a single bed. Please note this property is fully self-contained, however it is not a serviced property. Servicing can be arranged during your stay at an extra charge.

• Monika (9/5): Comfortable Family Home - An older house but nicely decorated with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a good shower, a well-equipped kitchen, veranda with BBQ and laundry, plus a small garden with a second toilet outside. Everything we needed was provided and the host was very responsive. The property is dog friendly (1 pet). The location is close to the old Maritime Museum and 5 min walk to the restaurants and shops, 10 min to the beach and jetty where you can hire boats, kayaks and book cruises. We appreciated that linen and towels were provided but usually it is AUD30 per person extra. You can bring your own linen. A AUD500 deposit is also required which will be refunded after your stay, provided nothing was damaged, beds weren’t used without linen and only the booked number of people stayed at the property. The latter is just FYI, not a criticism.

• Bouke (7/5): Beautiful, well-located house, but slow deposit refund and minor cleaning issues. - Beautiful, generally clean cottage with all necessary facilities (including baby cot and high-chair). Great location within walking distance of the town. - There is a mandatory 500 AUD security deposit which took about a month to be refunded, only after seeking contact with booking.com. - Communication was a bit inconsistent: during our stay it was good, but before and after our stay questions sometimes seemed to be ignored or only answered after more than a week. - The vacuum cleaner did not work, even though there were very detailed check-out instructions specifically requesting that the house should be vacuumed. The owner mentioned it was replaced after our stay, but older reviews had already reported similar issues. - The high-chair for our baby wasn't clean and was covered in sand.

The house was very well presented and it is in a wonderful location, great walk to the Main Street, antique shops, cafes and also great walks nearby along the water. The house was well laid out, plenty of room and a good supply of everyday goods to use during our time. This get away included 3 friends and lots of catching up and it was just the ideal property for such an event. The blooming Jasmine could be smelt throughout the house which was just Devine. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property and I’ll definitely be back with the family shortly.

• Teressa (7/5): A great little house for a family vaycay - Fantastic spot and a great little renovated house.. included lots of little amenities such as washing powder, which I thought was terrific. The hosts were really lovely and communication was excellent. We had our two little dogs with us and they were easily contained in the lovely backyard. Have provided a couple of suggestions to the hosts regarding comfort of couch but they assure me the new couch is about to be delivered. So with a new couch in place, I would stay again.

Excellent communication. Nice a quiet as well. Central to walk to town and the 2 breweries. We loved our stay. Could use some indoor eating space/trays for when it’s raining and you can’t be outside. Beach towels would be a nice touch for those travelling from afar that can’t pack them.

• Jack (9/5): Excellent cozy place to stay - We stayed in the Ocean Breeze Cottage from February 6 to February 10. And it was catastrophically short to enjoy this beautiful place. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. A great place for small families with pets. Everything is very clean, all equipment is in good working order, excellent appliance. There are all the necessary utensils and everything you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, the hosts are very nice people, they serve quickly. The description did not include a hair dryer, but we have Also received a set of bed linen and towels as a compliment.We will definitely come back here for a longer period. Vacuum cleaner should be changed - you can’t clean the house with it

We enjoyed the outdoor area, including the outdoor shower and was pleasantly surprised that the outdoor shower had hot water! The location was also exceptional allowing us to get the shops and restaurants very quickly and easily. Overall a lovely place to stay in Huskisson. The only downside of the property was the parking. While we were advised to park on the grass area outside the property, we found parking difficult at times when the bins were out and if someone else had parked on the curb. It didn’t leave us a lot of space to get in and out of the allocated space and should someone visit with a larger car (we have a small Toyota Yaris) I imagine it would been near impossible to get in and out of that space.

Entire garden wall of confederate jasmine that scented the whole apartment! Wouldn’t do an extended stay here. Space in the studio is limited with small couch and TV, better for a few nights max.

The studio was spacious including the bathroom. It was very clean and fresh. The room had a lovely feel about it. The path to the studio was very poorly lit. It had been raining when we arrived and along the path were many overhanging plants that we had to brush up against. The path was rough and uneven which made it almost impossible to wheel our suitcases. As there wasn’t an indoor table to eat at the property should provide trays to eat off.

The owners were very accommodating and understanding and very very helpful. The property had all the facilities that you would need for a long stay and you don't need to go out everyday and just come back to a very cozy and beautiful place. Its literally home away from home. There was nothing not to like as it had everything that was needed.

• Siebe (4/5): Disappointing - Firstly, the place is gorgeous. Garden is well-kept and studio is very cosy. Good design choices throughout, and overall very clean. Check-in is was quite difficult. No instructions were sent through, and we were left to call four different phone numbers while standing in the rain. One of the numbers called me back, and provided the code to access the key (could have been a text). Finding the studio was also very unclear, even while on the phone, as there are two similarly-named accommodations at the same address. Also very disappointed in the cost-cutting practices. Fridge was turned off on arrival, which we didn't noticed until the next day when all out food was warm. Other little things were also frustrating, such as the 30 second timeout on the outdoor light, only ~10 mins of hot water in the shower, and to our surprise, a long list of chores and to-do's for us on checkout. Sorry, but for $200+ per night, we shouldn't be expected to sweep and vacuum the floors, wipe down all surfaces (including microwave and non-existent oven), take out rubbish and unpack the dishwasher. Finally, access to the studio down the path on the side, while very pretty, was wet and slippery with some overgrown plants, and not practical.

There is plenty of room for parking and a good size backyard that is securely fenced in. The hosts are helpful and kind. The house is old and run down, lots of marks all over the floors and walls. The house had a smell of dust and urine.

We walked with our dog to get coffees in the morning and to take our daughter to the playground. The place is clean and the beds were comfy. Loved that there was a nice undercover balcony and outdoor seating. The backyard was big enough for our dog to enjoy herself rolling in the grass and playing with my daughter. Nothing to not like about this property really.

As this is a pet friendly accommodation we did find there was animal hair on the sofa and rug transferring onto our clothes from previous guests. We would have loved a few more towels, there were no face cloths and only 2 bath towels for 2 guests to share for the weekend. We would usually use 2 towels each showering. Also found the sliding doors temperamental to lock each time we went out.
