- Debbie (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Nice stay in a lovely old house. Very nice position over the road from the river. - Lovely old cottage with timber floors and big back yard. Great for kids and dogs. Comfortable beds and couches. Very clean. Bathroom well set up for wheelchair. Some confusion with reticulation and wifi. Hard to cool whole house.
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Jaye (5/5): - Central location and dog friendly. Well heated. Very dated facilities, bathroom dangerous with water not draining from the shower and flooding the entire bathroom. Way too much communication from the agency we booked through and the property management services. Emails, what’s apps, texts, often replicating the same information. It honestly didn’t allow me to relax whilst there.
- Jared (10/5): -
- J (10/5): Don't book it...we want to.come back! - Accessible, spacious, well equipped, great location
- Vicky (7/5): Good - The location was really good, and the kitchen was great.
- Brooke (6/5): Good location, garden was big and dog friendly. Only would recommend an upgrade to the beds and appliances to make it a - Good location walking into town. The Lounge room space is large and so it the back garden. The bed wasn’t comfortable and was huge for the bedroom. Some the appliances could do with an upgrade eg the toaster, kettle, and kitchen items.
- Laura (7/5): Good - Everything else was great. The location of the kitchen facilities in the living spaces was great plenty if space Yes, the only downside was the bathroom shower as it flooded the whole bathroom floor when someone had a shower. The toilet roller holder was too far from the toilet on the main bathroom. And that there was no closeline. And the fact the door in the kitchen where the plates were was broken. So we moved the plates to dinning room wall uniy for easier access
- Annette (8/5): Very good -
- Lorraine (6/5): It was very dusty behind lounges gave me hay fever. All locks were very hard.to open. -
- Karyn (8/5): It was fine comfy and quiet - Location was great and central Nothing really
- G (3/5): Do not bother! A horrible property! - Nothing
My sister didn't want to shower there and we didn't want to have our breakfast there either- we just wanted to get out ASAP. Kitchen was ok and had good range of items. Booking system with 3rd party faulty & having to speak with someone in Phillipines!
Smell - esp in bedrroms plus bathroom had strong urine smell
Front door & bathroom door not able to close properly
There was a complete lack of care or pride in the property by the owners and rough enough is obviously good enough for them. Front bed should be replaced, large wooden bed in 2nd bedroom a massive trip hazard
Daggy old linen and some stains and rugs seemed grotty
Creaking floorboards that should be resanded years ago - they would look beautiful if done.
Full rubbish Bins when we arrived. Bathroom needs a good scrub.
Wooden lattice inside front windows. Several windows and glass doors with no curtains so people could see in. Didnt feel like a safe house. Didnt know it was near a nightclub so the doof doof kept us awake until midnight.
Broken furniture. Blown light bulbs. Curtains lying on reading lamps so a fire hazard.
Redundant TVs in bedrooms - can't be plugged in
Mismatched 2nd hand furniture everywhere which could be fine but they were just weird random items.
Difficult to access as no sensor lights at front door and 5 keys to work through for the right one!!!!
It's was essentially like a pauper's house or an abandoned house - for $500 - we were ripped off by GEOGRAPHE HOLIDAY HOMES.
- Eileen (8/5): Very good - The house was fine, old but nicely equipped and clean. Also we were notified once the house was ready so an earlier check-in which was great. The house was fine no problems with that. What i didn't like was the booking it was like rocket science through booking.com. They needed photo id and primary id plus copies of the debit card even though they would already have had the money?? Then they sent a code which i thought was the code to enter the property but NO it was a code to get another code to enter the house, you would think we were renting Buckingham Palace. Also had to pay a bond could almost have bought the property by now.
It was also Really hard to get hold of a person to talk to, there is a phone number but guess what nobody answers, so the house was fine the booking was not!!!!
- Marija (8/5): Very good -
- Deb (5/5): Passable - Location was great, air con and gas heater, spacious lots of seating in main lounge. Description of property and location does not match advertised
- David (6/5): Pleasant - Difficult check in, went through some online ID process that was painful had to do it several times
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Kris (8/5): It was spacious, cozy, and good for the price. - House and beds were nice. Couch was comfy. The aircon and heater came in handy. We enjoyed the slightly old cottage feeling. House and backyard were spacious. In general the whole house felt big and cozy. Some kitchen items like plates and cooking utensils were slightly dirty on arrival but wasn't a big deal to quickly clean. One door handle was wobbly and close to falling off, but we repaired it ourselves with a toolbox that was in one of the closets in the cottage, and it wasn't an issue the whole stay.
- Christine (7/5): Good -
- Theresa (10/5): Very comfortable - Cleanliness and lots of room, little extras like condiments and spa bath Noisy due to op shop next door banging and crashing and yelling and laughing early in the morning
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (7/5): Nice stay and great location. - It is a great location and good value for money it was great having a whole house. The living space is big which is so much better than staying in a motel or cabin. The locks on the doors need repairs. One of the front door locks is jammed the other front door does not remain closed unless it is left locked. It was very noisy every morning at 5.30am there was a lot of loud banging sounds.
- Shan (3/5): A reasonable place on a standard budget but only worth paying a third of the price .. quite honestly it was a rip off in - The house was spacious , had character but was a quite run down , beds were not comfy. Central location in Busselton Grossly overpriced , we paid over 1800 for 2 nights expecting a great place !! The third bedroom did not have an air condition or fan unit so wasn’t comfortable with 35 degree heat. Had to move the spare trundle bed into main room for teenager . It was dusty under beds especially noted when trundle removed and in the linen cupboards . Property management needs to ensure cleaners are doing their job . Bins outside were full / overflowing . Shower was not enclosed as to accomodate disability access but no extra mops or bath rugs were provided to mop up excess water which happened at every shower making it a slip hazard ( wet slippery tiles ) Had to use towels to dry floor , wash and dry outside after each shower !
- Tim (8/5): Very good - Very well located and nice character place Didnt receive address or codes until after check in time
- Hayden (10/5): Exceptional - good location, walking distance to amenities and tourist attractions. large spacious yard and large old bedrooms even in summer, a touch on the cold side - but it’s an older house, so as expected. main door lock wasn’t sitting flush, so required some effort to lock the door.
- Kerry (8/5): Character property in a good location. - A large old house with character features. Good cooking and laundry facilities . I found the bed a bit uncomfortable.
- Schmidt (1/5): Horrible. We did not stay - Nothing. The place was mouldy and dirty. We did not stay. We got another place to stay Place was mouldy and dirty. We did not stay. Found alternative accomodation. There were even underware left in place. Definately not cleaned properly
- Angela (7/5): Good - Just a few minutes walking from coach drop off stop. Around 15 minutes walk to jetty. The apartment is large and kitchen has basic utensils for cooking. Shower has no frame to prevent water splitting, making the bathroom wet and slippery. No instruction on how to use the oven.
- Tuffin (9/5): Superb - It was close to so many places
- Ciaran (8/5): Very good -
- Kristie (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (7/5): It was lovely but the property needs some attention. - Loved the character but of course with ‘character’ comes with imperfections. Too cold. Bedrooms were freezing at night and the reverse cycle air conditioners in them didn’t take the chill off at all. One of us was up in the early hours and huddled in front of the gas fire in the lounge trying to get warm.
Mattress in large bedroom needs replacing.
Would’ve loved a mop and bucket to use in the bathroom. It is a very generous size and perfect for disabled. However the water runs everywhere. The drain does net seem to take it away fast enough. Water constantly pools outside the shower recess metal strip photo shows 12 hours later. Have a feeling there is an underground leak.
- John (4/5): Disappointing - location THE HOUSE WAS VERY COLD
- Steve (5/5): It was ok but on the expensive side for the quality - Location was great Poor furniture. Property needs an update. Looked tired and paint was badly done. Some power points need updating some light switches didn’t seem to do anything.
- Jesse (7/5): Good -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Location was great however the Master bedroom reverse cycle aircon was not working correctly and we froze a little The company running the premises take a Security Bond however Booking.com does not provide them the credit card details to take/hold the bond and therefore there was an ordeal of trying to make payment on this bond and we now have to contact them to get a status of this refund.
- Ioan (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (7/5): Cosy cottage close to town - This is a cute little cottage with lovely views of the river and an easy walk to the Main Street and Busselton foreshore. Would really suit a family group as all of the bedrooms are right next to each other, and there is a big backyard for kids. Bathroom and kitchen have been renovated and are lovely. Lounge room is comfy and a great place to hang out and enjoy the river views. Has a disability ramp and disability-friendly shower and toilet. Could use a bit of TLC. Mattress in main bedroom was old and saggy (though 2nd double bed had a fairly new one) and a few light bulbs were blown. The unfortunate downside of being so close to town is that there is a bit of noise. One of the nearby pubs has a rooftop bar which played loud music late into the night on Friday night, and the warehouse at the back loaded trucks in the early hours of one morning. A little ironic given the property has a strict “no party after 10pm” rule to avoid disturbing the neighbours 😏
- Gillian (7/5): Good -
- Denise (8/5): Very good -
- Marco (6/5): A lot of potential - The location is really close to the restaurants and jetty., the house layout and the external area.
The kitchen and bathroom was renovated.
Laundry was good. The bedrooms and living spaces are reaaly old and all wardrobe and furniture were dirty inside. Mattress not comfortable at all.
Every night there was noises from rubish truck at 3am, music from a gym at 5am and other random trucks.
Doors are hard to lock .
Outside areas need a clean up.
- Carl (7/5): Good -
- Shireen (6/5): Good value for money - Central to town
Could walk leave car
The bird life across from cottage lovely to watch Security of property
Front screen doesn't lock
No handle of internal front door
So really not good
Towel rail missing
No blinds in kitchen
At night exposed when the lights are on
- Paul (5/5): Passable - Location and big accommodation with parking kitchen and bathrooms are new and clean. Bed mattresses and bed linen old and stained. Barbecue area at rear is dissapointng lock on front door is not the best.
- Cheryl (5/5): Passable - Location was great. House had character. Very clean. We didn't know you should ask if there will be burning off locally, unfortunately with the home being old, the doors and windows dont seal, there was burning off for a couple of days so the smoke smell came straight in the house so after a couple of nights with our noses and throats burning from the smoke smell we booked other accommodation obviously for health reasons.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Leanne (6/5): good location needs maintenance - location no bath mat
dim lights
can opener broken
picky agent
- Delia (7/5): ideal distance from jetty,if one wants to walk, the river across the road was nice to look out onto. - the position of the place the front and back door locks need looking at. During the cooler weather better doonas are needed. Otherwise the place is lovely
- Brooks (7/5): Good -
- Dympna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - Location was amazing
Amazing internet
Great wheelchair access
Bathroom nicely renovated The house needs a lot of work
Front door hard to open
No security doors or none that lock for security reasons this needs to be addressed
Lounge suite is all peeled (looks dirty)
Curtains in bedrooms are basically hanging off for privacy reasons they need to be fixed.
Mattresses are discusting (apart from the one in spare room)
Television needs updating as channels flicker in and out of signal.
Some utensils in the draws were dirty
Toaster wasn't clean (purchased my own to use)
- Tricia (6/5): Not best value for money. - Pleasant location. Property and furniture is very tired. Also house cold. Bathroom would benefit from some sort of heating.
- Glen (7/5): Good -
- Brindley (10/5): Absolutely 💯%... Lovely Accommodation!!👌👌 - Absolutely 💯%.. Great Location!.. very comfortable and clean 👌... Thankyou. I honestly can not and don't want to fault this beautiful accommodation, But the only service that could work better - is the TV reception! Constantly lost signal and limited to what you can watch. But at the same time it was a great reason to relax in other ways..👌
- Pamela (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): we love older style homes and appreciate the modern upgrades and well kept garden - proximity and house conveniences
- Mary (10/5): Lovely, nostalgic cottage close to everything. - Lots of space a bit cold, but not surprising for an older house
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - The house it self was great The main bedroom mattress needs replacing it was very uncomfortable
