Guest Reviews
- Alys (10/5): Amazing stay, and fantastic hosts! - We were arriving late, and expected to use the lock box. When we arrived, the host was at the property turning the lights on and making sure everything was ready for our stay!
We had a lovely chat with Jennifer, who gave us some history of the property and recommendations for activities in the local area.
Jennifer also had a booklet full of fun facts, animals and places to visit around the property.
In the morning, we woke up to the sound of the nearby river and the peacocks/chickens roaming around - it was lovely.
Spent the afternoon playing provided board/card games on the deck and exploring the area around the river, and went for a short drive into Gloucester for dinner.
Check-in and Check-out was super simple, and the tiny house kitchen/bathroom had everything we needed for a weekend stay :)
The hosts really made this weekend getaway special, really could not have asked for anything more - we will be back for sure!! N/A
- Kaisie (10/5): Lovely little getaway location, highly recommend! - Beautiful little place, lovely surroundings & the cutest horses.

- Kai (10/5): - It was an excellent place, and everything was set up perfectly.
Thankyou!
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (7/5): Very pleasant apart from the toilet issue. - Disliked composting toilet inside cabin. Not enough space for that. It smelt and very close to kitchen area. Toilet should be set up in separate building adjacent.
- Peter (10/5): Leave feeling energised and refreshed - Loved the tiny house. Loved the beautiful scenery and the creek , we loved the fact that the hosts were quite and gave us the privacy to enjoy their beautiful property. Dont book anywhere else if coming to Gloucester, this is the place to unwind. Hosts went out of their way to help with information and detailed booklet on property and surrounding attractions
Thank you so much again tiny home team. 10/10 Leaving.
- Doug (9/5): Great country experience in a beautiful location - Great location - beautiful position near a babbling river. Very clean; and very quiet air conditioning. The composting toilet was ok … but it was definitely different.
- Brooke (9/5): Relaxing, beautiful views - Property was clean and set up well. There was a microwave, coffee machine, plates, cups, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Lots of cleaning items. Comfortable bed, Shower was hot and good pressure. Beautiful view of river and gardens. So much bird life! Quiet sleep, felt like we were in middle of no where. No tv, internet and mobile connection helped us disconnect. Sitting on the verandah chatting with a cuppa was a great way to spend the afternoon. There was a fire pit and firewood but we did not get to use it due to the rain. Was slightly wobbly up the shower end
- David (9/5): Perfect little gem for anyone who cares more about nature than being online. - It’s a tiny house, but very well designed. It overlooks a little river in a very peaceful place. We sat on the veranda in the early evening watching birds and kangaroos, and woke up to see two kangaroos play fighting 30 metres away. There’s no wifi or mobile phone signal and a compost toilet, so it might not suit everyone, but for us it was an absolute delight. Space was a little tight but the beauty of the spot more than made up for that.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - The location was stunning The toilet was a bit smelly
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johanna (10/5): Enjoyed our stay immensely - Idyllic location. The peace and tranquility was good for the soul. Loved the abundant birdlife. Despite its tiny size, the cabin was welcoming, comfortable and well equipped. The deck was a bonus and made all the difference to our stay. The good weather helped!
The information supplied was the best I've ever come across. Everything from amenities to wildlife as well as the personal journey of our hosts in purchasing the property, was well written and very well produced. Thank you for sharing your story and your home!
- Ludmilla (10/5): Enchanted - Location was amazing! The animals around the farm. Really cute and comfortable and big enough for what you need. The pictures online dont do it justice to the place.
- Josh (10/5): We loved to stay with Tiny Away - The property was very neat and tidy , very comfortable we loved the animals the peacocks were not shy and we loved the view of the creek from the veranda.Definitely will be coming back to stay.
- Craig (10/5): Quiet and Cosy - Cosy & Quiet Everything was good
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spot so relaxing So many bugs at night and the screen door is useless! No mozzie coils or spray either
- Finley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madi (8/5): Very good -
- Alicia (10/5): If you want to get away and just relax and enjoy nature and the big smoke this is just the place. - The quiet that comes with this visit and the sounds of nature. Would love to visit when warmer to be able to swim and do a bit more sightseeing. The weather didn’t co operate but didn’t dampen the experience. From the blankets on the chairs to the towels for river swimming, no detail was missed. It was awesome all around, apologies this is delayed I’ve been really unwell the past few days.
- Danny (10/5): Exceptional - Private neat and tidy All good
- Donna (10/5): Loved our Tiny house getaway on the river, such a lovely spot to stay. - The fire pit, the birds walking around the property, river, comfortable bed and complimentary treats left for us. Nothing.
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristie (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful little tiny house on the river! Peaceful, private and we enjoyed the outdoor fire gazing at the stars. A wonderful experience!
- Teasha (10/5): Absolute Bliss. - What a beautiful stay! I was not expecting to have a beautiful river view, it exceeded expectations and was the most peaceful place. We saw chickens ducks and kangaroos and had a fire and played the games that were provided. Highly recommend playing “go low” card game just don’t drink as much wine as we did otherwise it gets a bit tricky. Gorgeous stay, super comfy and cosy, you can cook really anything using the facilities provided to. Love it and will be staying again!
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Greg (10/5): Amazingly peaceful - Private and the ambience just wonderful Nothing
- Paul (7/5): Calming and relaxing - The view and peace and quiet The eco toilet and proximity to the host house
- Cameron (6/5): Stay was ok - Location was nice. Tiny house is a bit too tiny and badly layer out.
Airconditiner rattles.
- Mahala (10/5): Amazing! - The views
The comfortable bed
And the company of all the little farm animals
- Ben (9/5): Whet our appetite for more of the same. To quote Douglas MacArthur, 'we shall return" (God willing) - Not being seasoned travellers, we didn't know what to expect. We just wanted somewhere quaint, quiet and quintessentially Australian to stay. And that's precisely what we found. Sure, it was small, but then we didn't come to look at four walls and a ceiling but to enjoy the amazing scenery and tranquility. We'll be back again The ONLY thing I can think off, is that during and after rain, the roof was very noisy. NOT the normal sound-of-rain-on-a-tin-roof sound, but an incessant dripping. Perhaps the installation of a carport style roof over the whole structure might help, like those used on a permanent caravan site situation. Or maybe I'm just being pedantic. There is that..
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Adrian (9/5): Superb - The whole process was contactless, the keys where in the door. we just tuned up and relaxed. the hosts where polite and just left us to enjoy their property. Nothing really, the room was clean and the facilities where good. we had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay.
- Heidi (8/5): Very good -
- Louis (9/5): Superb - The tiny home was very nice, the river is just next to it.
The bed and facilities are very good. Not much space for suitcase/ bags that you bring.
- Mel (9/5): Superb - Beautiful spot, very peaceful Didn't go much on the toileting system
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Immediate relaxing surrounded by nature. - A really peaceful location next to a stream. Very relaxing.
The accommodation is very well kitted out. We thoroughly enjoyed using the bbq on the veranda and lighting the fire pit whilst enjoying the sounds of nature.
- Michelle (10/5): Fabulous stay to make sure you unwind and unplug - The location was fabulous and was great listening to all the sounds and birds in the morning! The property was very cute and had everything we needed for our stay. Nothing it was all great.
- Lyn (9/5): Fantastic - Exactly as promoted, what you see is what you get! The tiny house was delightfully tiny but perfectly set up. The walls really are mostly glass, magical place to sleep in :) The location is just as it appears in photos, charming outlook and very peaceful. No hooks! just a couple of hooks for hangers and towels would be great :)
- Stephen (10/5): Loved the animals and the quiet countryside. - Quiet location, close to nature, very relaxing. Composting toilet is a little different but worked ok.
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Audrey (9/5): Superb -

- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dee (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect. Jennifer was very friendly and helpful. There was nothing that we didn't like about our stay.
- Peter (7/5): Tiny room with a big outdoors. - Beautiful setting and lots of bird life We were told on the Wednesday before check in on Friday via email that there was limited wifi and limited mobile coverage. We were subsequently advised that there was no wifi available and the property is off grid. This was despite the fact that there seemed to be a wifi on the property that had full signal that we were not allowed access to.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeline (10/5): Exactly what we needed - The location was perfect! Such a beautiful stay. Was equipped with everything that we need and Jennifer was a pleasure to deal with. I could not recommend it more
- Anonymous (10/5): A great weekend escape - Location was excellent, loved being near the river and all the birds, pancakes/fruit/honey provided was delicious. Fire pit setup was also great. Appreciated the folders with info on where to eat in town, how to use appliances, types of birds etc. No storage space in the tiny house for luggage/clothes, bathroom storage also lacking, nowhere to hang towels to dry. Might benefit from an extraction fan for the shower too.
- Helen (9/5): A very relaxing stay on a beautiful property, allowing us to switch off from the outside world. - The private and beautiful location was ideal for a quiet getaway from the outside world.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (10/5): everything was clean and worked perfectly - It’s such a tranquil place with a variety of animals
- Alex (10/5): Jen & Rowan’s beautiful property is located in the foothills of the Barrington Tops where you can enjoy incredible n - The Tiny Away house located on the beautiful property owned and lovingly cared for by Jen & Rowan was an absolute treat. It was secluded, surrounded by beautiful nature and amazing animal life! Jen & Rowan we’re so lovely and accomodating and we could not recommend this beautiful spot any more for a night, weekend or week away! Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Well presented accomodation and tranquil location for disconnecting from the City life - Quaint and quite location close to the Barrington Tops National Park, this little house is located in a small private rural property situated right next to a river.
The property has a range of animals close including Ducks, Guinea Fowl and Peacocks as well ponies and small horses which all added to the ambience.
The little house whilst small has been added onto by the guest Jennifer with a deck for relaxing and eating outside and a fire pit is provided for evening enjoyment. This made the experience more enjoyable to enjoy the nature and connect the inside with outside.
Comfy bed and very functional kitchen with lots of good quality inclusions (coffee pods, biscuits and fruit) meant we were able to enjoy our mornings without venturing out. A place to put our travel bag that wasn't blocking the door.
- Rakesh (10/5): Had a great experience and wish to return again and again. Highly recommend others to stay here as the hosts are warm an - The stay itself was beautiful surrounded by lush greenery and river flowing so close by the peacefulness this property brings is amazing. nothing that stands out

- Peta (9/5): Absolute relaxation good for the soul!! - The cute tiny house
The deck and comfy chairs
The fire pit and great fire starters
The location and river
The chickens and Guinea Fowl
The passion and love of the property shown by Rowan and Jennifer
The well thought out inclusions Nothing. I just wished I could have stayed longer
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (8/5): Refreshing pause on a long road trip - Beautiful, quiet location by the creek at the bottom of a property down a side road, yet not far from towns and Barrington Tops. Sitting on the porch watching the birds, trees and water was a treat after a long day of driving. Even though it was cold overnight, the bed was toasty warm. The chemical toilet takes a little getting used to. A couple of hooks or somewhere to put personal belongings would have helped, otherwise, the space was well used.
- Clayton (10/5): Comfortable stay in a beautiful location - We had a very comfortable stay in this very cozy tiny home. It had everything we needed including very comfy bed, hot shower, cooking facilities and a firepit. The location is great with access to nearby Barrington Tops National Park and surrounds, as well as Gloucester town to get supplies and go out for meals if wanted. The property definitely suits nature lovers with plenty of wildlife around.

Tried to catch a look at the local platypus but missed it. The Tiny home was cosy, everything was clean and tidy. First time using a composting toilet which was interesting! Love all the sustainable practices on the property and Jennifer was very lovely and welcoming. Liked everything!
- Susan (8/5): Very happy with our stay. - it’s lovely location on the river. Well equipped and cosy. Excellent bed. Good shower. Fire pit. Nice extras provided by Jennifer to make us welcome. An extra mat on the floor would be good in winter.
