Peter (9/5): Great location in Frutillar - A great option in Frutillar. The Cabins are on a quiet side street away from the lakefront bustle and traffic. Within walking distance of lakefront restaurants so you can have a glass of wine and not worry about driving (15 min walk back is uphill though). Cabins are well appointed and kitchen has all necessary cooking utensils. It is nice the owner will not discard nonperishable items left by previous guests (oil, rice, sugar, etc.) so one does not have to buy everything. Unlike most of Chile a real drip coffeemaker. Off street parking. Cabin gets a bit cold overnight or on rainy days like most places in southern Chile. The host will be happy to light the wood stove but then it can get too warm so it is hard to strike a balance. The AC with heat pump is only in the main bedroom where it is of limited use. Would be nice to have the AC in the living room to warm up the space in the morning. No mountain or lake views from the house.
