The house was beautifully equipped with everything you need. The pellet heater was really nice at night and a real highlight. Would love to return in the future everything was absolutely perfect.

- Terry (10/5): Secret delight of Cape Douglas - Quiet, secluded location, very comfortable bed, spacious, well-equipped b&b. Nothing
- Alan (10/5): Perfect place to nourish the soul and recharge batteries. - Thanks for everything - we didn't all the food provided, as we brought a lot of food ourselves, as I knew it was a fair drive to a decent supermarket.
The property itself was spotless, modern and well appointed.
You can sit and relax, watching the abundant bird life or take an energetic walk through to the trig point north of Hines Bay. It was faultless. The beach probably wouldn't be good for swimming. I hope you have better luck fishing than I did!
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - the view from the main bedroom was beautiful and completely relaxing to sit and read in front of.
- Sören (10/5): Rekommenderas - Best accommodation of the whole trip. Breakfast was in The friggeboden! Nice warm and homely! Highly recommended...
- Peter (9/5): A real gem, and worth another stay! - It was a pleasant surprise to find a nice store of the breakfast essentials of eggs, bacon, baked beans, milk and cereal and bread. It was very thoughtful and well appreciated.
The pellet heater is a novel idea, and most welcome on the cool evenings.
Overall the place was clean and well presented. We loved it! Only a partial view of the sea, but it's not a deal breaker. The view from the back patio was excellent.
- Bianca (9/5): Omg this place is amazing we'll be back - Amazing house, quiet, relaxing, beautiful. We didn't want to leave. Omg bed was sooo good. Shower was good once we got it to stay up lol... loved the breakfast in the fridge and choccies on the table... definitely plan on going back Couch was a little uncomfortable and would have been good to know about pellets beforehand so we could organise more before getting there if needed... but only tiny issues
- Sonia (10/5): So relaxing and private and convenient - The little thoughtful touches Joy provided were just so lovely and welcome Absolutely nothing
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional -

- Lisa (10/5): Peaceful surrounds and beautiful fresh air. Add a dash of farm animals, you then have perfection. - Everything you could possibly want for breakfast was provided - eggs, bacon, baked beans to name only a few. Our stay was the equivalent of a home away from home. Attention to detail was apparent in spades. We would highly recommend Plovers Rest to anyone wanting to step away from their real world for a short time. It was just the tonic we needed. We couldn't fault Plovers Rest, everything you needed was provided, down to the mustard in the fridge. The time went very fast and before we knew it, it was time to head home.
- Lianne (10/5): Welcoming and comfortable beckoning us to return. - Eggs and bacon for breakfast always go down well!
The peace and seclusion was wonderful. You could walk along the beach and watch the tide come in or enjoy little nooks around the property to read a book. The host catered for everything. Nothing comes to mind.

- Peter (10/5): Home from home - Firstly - wonderful location! We stayed here two nights on part of a long tour, wish we had stayed longer. Easy to find yet felt a long way from anywhere (although it has other very nice properties around and not too far from a shop), complete relaxation. The property is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. A real home from home. Good breakfast provision (and chocolates) provided. Beach just over the road. Cattle in field at rear of property. We loved it. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We should have booked more time here!
