• Geoffrey (9/5): Very nice studio appartments in the centre of Stanley. Very clean with lots of extras provided. - Perfect location in Main Street. No traffic noise. Walk to pub and shops. Have stayed twice before as we love the way the studio is decorated. Great kitchen, with chocolates, tea and coffee and a bowl of fresh fruit to meet you. It felt like home to us.

Deep bath to step into for showers was a tad challenging, but manageable, especially with rubber mat and handrail

We had a wonderful four night stay and would totally recommend to anyone. Location is brilliant- down a little laneway but right in the centre of beautiful Stanley. Ellie’s attention to detail was second to none - even providing chocolates, biscuits and fruit, bathroom toiletries were great too. She also provided a bag with beach towels in. Ellie was great to deal with! Nothing at all

• Sean (10/5): Exceptional - The emenities were amazing, stocked up kitchen area with the ability to cook anything you'd want, lovely spa bath, crisp style and decor/furniture, being right on the main strip was worth the price and the owner was incredible to deal with :) The only issues were I could not cast to the TV from my phone or ipad. And there was abit of mould behind the head rests in the spa, no mould anywhere else in the spa though :) and might be a good idea to have a packet of spa cleaning tablets so guests can run a cleaning sycle through the spa system before first and after last use.
• Hazel (10/5): A Lovely Stay in Stanley - A lovely , quiet studio unit in a perfect location on the main street but with good private parking . Stanley is a delightful small town with history , beautiful buildings and great cafes and restaurants. Two nights was not really enough and our next visit will still be at Ellie’s but for longer as there is so much in town and in the wider area to see and do . Wonderful seafood and friendly locals add to a great stay . As older guests we found the sofa rather difficult to get up from .

The cottage was very clean, Bed was comfortable and has all the facilities you need. Shower is small but that was okay. It is a short stroll to the restaurants, hotel, supermarket, penguin viewing platform and the Nut. Loved it Nothing

So many personal touches such as the biscuits and chocolates, made this a memorable stay and were so appreciated. We only wished we had stayed longer!! We would thoroughly recommend a stay. Absolutely nothing!

• Thomas (8/5): Lovely cottage, a home away from home. - One of the things we particularly liked was the skylight though unfortunately it started raining approximately one hour before our arrival and continued throughout the night. There was a beautiful blue sky in the morning though Mother Nature did not permit us a starry night sky. The cottage was lovely, and has a welcoming and comfortable feel as soon as you walk through the doorway. The fruit, biscuits, chocolates and lollies are a lovely touch, very much like a home away from home. I'm not a large person (Height: 171 cm, weight: 76kg) and found the shower to be somewhat restrictive. The vanity was a little lacking in size to accommodate items for two people.

• Scott (8/5): lovely location, good host with a great attituse - loved the location and the quaintness of the unit. provided provision exceeded our expectations :) the neighbors alarm kept going off (not ellies problem) the spa jet covers were not attached (floated away when we filled the spa), resulting in them being bare while we were using the spa. I actually cut myself on them as a result of this Hot water was limited, meaning we had to be mindful of use as the spa uses a considerable amount of hot water (we ran out a couple of times)

Ideal location tucked away in the centre of main street of town, close to the hotel, cafes, shops & galleries. Wonderful spacious studio, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchenette / dining area, ensuite with plenty of hot water. TV, books, DVDs. Appreciated the electric blanket & R/C aircon on these wintery days. Ellie has thought of everything guests may need. Loved all the little touches like a jar of cookies, bowl of sweets & even a bottle of Calvin Klein perfume - which is now a new favourite!! The info folder has everything visitors need to know about Stanley. Off-street parking too… plus a lovely courtyard for warmer days. 5***** N/A - everything was great.

• Robyn (10/5): Serene self-contained studio behind a classic weatherboard cottage in Stanley's Main Street - We stayed in the studio of Ellies' cottages in the Main Street of Stanley. The studio is charming, the decor is light and chic and there are welcoming touches like a bowl of fresh fruit on the table and beach towels for swimming. While the studio is small, it is completely safe and peaceful, and a very serene place to stay.
