• cccruising (10/5): Simply delightful, a living museum of art deco history. - Great location, close to central locations. Absolutely enjoyed the whole experience of staying in this house, exploring the various items within the house and the nice touches that were left for us to use, breakfast provisions and little posey of flowers. I especially enjoyed the kitchen area, the window nook. Only due to our heights ( both over 6 feet tall) maybe a couch slightly higher to get out of, it was quite low.

• Kathy (10/5): Great art deco stay - Really likes the whole ambience of the house. The little touches like the toiletries, coffee machine and guitar were great. The property was very comfortable and made you feel at home. Would stay again. Would be great if there was a portable fan available for warmer weather, and fly screens you keep the bugs out at night.
• Jauffret (10/5): Exquisite Art Deco Home - The host provided us with fresh eggs, bread, butter, marmalade and vegemite. It was a delightful surprise. Small touches like beautiful flowers in the master bedroom were really appreciated. The house is impeccably clean, and every nuance and every detail has been carefully considered to reflect the Art Deco period. The windows are a masterclass in restoration, and the curved windows throughout the house with beautiful easy to draw curtains made this house a very sophisticated stay. We loved the big bathroom, and the extra WC is a great addition when you are travelling with a family. If we could give this house 7 stars, we would. Thank you Tanya.

• Todd (10/5): A Stay at Southlynne is a Vacation Within a Vacation! - Southlynne is hands-down the best home we ever stayed in during any of our travels! The house is immaculately appointed and cared for, and the refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for satisfying breakfasts. Tanya is a perfect host that clearly attends to the details. This art-deco home is a true find … we would stay there again in an instant! We liked everything!

• Georgia (10/5): Beautifully renovated and decorated house, with lots of thoughtful details showing the true hospitality of hosts - Beautiful house, well maintained with many well-thought through details. It was warm and bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated the breakfast ingredients and treats (also very helpful to have oil/salt/pepper). Also love under floor heating & handrail in bathroom! I have already passed details on to friends for their next Launnie trip! I can’t really think of much we didn’t like. Maybe if I’m being really picky… the lack of off-street parking was a small bother (especially when it’s raining).

• Lee (10/5): Beautiful stay - The property is beautiful, and the 1940’s styled and well decorated house has been beautifully restored and preserved. We enjoyed our stay, which was an experience all on its own. When we entered, walking into a warm house, and all the lights spectacularly showing as well as a fresh breakfast in the fridge of eggs, fruit, jam, and bread. The host was available via message, and responded promptly to my messages. With the additional laundry services of a washing machine and dyer, cooking appliances, and a book full of things to do, local history, and more information about the building itself, we were not left wanting of anything else. I cannot find fault with this beautiful property or the host. Thank you for hosting my grandmother and I. We will be back again. Street parking

• Wayne (10/5): Great place to relax and do things at your own pace. - Breakfast supplies were great, everything we needed plus more. Property location was close to everything. Only a 6-minute drive into the CBD. It was a beautiful 1947 built house. We had a very relaxing stay. So quiet.

• Eda (9/5): Lovely property. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable.. - The food provisions provided by the host were exceptional. I haven't seen that in a holiday property for years. Normally the kitchen cupboards are bare. Also beautifully furnished and everything was very comfortable. The parking is on a main road and we did worry a little about the hire car's safety.. The road is busy and cars whizz by. The location is also a fair distance away from any shops or places of interest - you will need a car.

But it was just milk, cereal, jam, butter, bread and eggs provided for us in the refrigerator for us to cook ourselves. Nothing wrong with that but it should have been indicated as such.

• Tracey (10/5): Absolutely fantastic stay at Southlynne! - It was extremely generous to find the food in the fridge for our breakfast. Every art deco detail was wonderful. We just loved our stay! Kitchen was a delight and we cooked at least two evening meals and loved sitting at the dining table. Bathroom was beautiful and well stocked with great body wash and shampoo. The single beds in the second bedroom were small and although quite comfortable just too narrow. Honestly this was the only thing that wasn’t absolutely perfect.

We were babysitting our one year old grandson and he loved exploring the beautiful Art Deco home The wifi keeps cutting out and we’re slow. Also loved the fruit trees, I grabbed a few delish lemons 🍋 NA - loved the whole stay!

The property is a blend of old and new, but it’s all in character. The road was a little busy at times, but you can’t hear the traffic inside.

Highly recommend this accommodation for all travelling to Launceston!
