Guest Reviews
- Latten (10/5): - It is a fantastic house for families. My kids loved the kids room and toys in there.
- Jenna (9/5): Nice cosy home, great location within walking distance to coffee shops etc. Perfect for our family! - Great location, Cosy and comfortable. Good heating. Bonus of some games and good kitchen facilities.
- Selena (7/5): Nice house for a family, good location. - We have stayed here previously and thought the location was good. Provided you have a car. Nice quiet street. As I said previously we have stayed here before, three years ago. Our memories from that time were that the property was more inviting in the sense that there were treats, bowls and toys laid out for our dog (we didn’t have our dog with us this time) along with some provisions for us. The property itself is looking tired in areas for example needing a coat of paint. The front entry had a weird doorbell/camera set up but the biggest concern for us unfortunately were some issues with the cleanliness. An example was the clump of hair left in the shower recess, unclean wine glasses and a greasy and oily cooktop, a dog bowl out the back that had dried up and off dog food in it, and garbage bins down the side of the house that didn’t look like they’ve been emptied from the last few tenants. The utensils drawers look like a bomb had gone off in them, clearly you don’t need three or four of the same item. Although it can be helpful for some people I don’t think it’s a particularly good look in the pantry when there are half used packets of food from previous guests aside from perhaps some oil, salt and pepper.
We contacted the owners with attached photos and received an apology but no more, and we weren’t seeking compensation or any kind of recourse. The owners pride themselves on offering a high standard and I believe they try to, but it’s difficult managing a property from afar when they’re relying on cleaners that don’t show attention to detail that most people notice.

- Elizabeth (8/5): Great stay overall, would definitely stay again! - Convenient location, comfortable, quiet and clean. We have stayed a couple of times at this property and loved it.
On our recent stay there was only one spare roll of toilet paper and we were staying for 4 nights. Would have liked a few spare rolls.
Also, we noticed that the bathroom window didn’t appear to lock when closed.
- gerald (8/5): very suitable - good all ok
- Sarah (10/5): Great Family and Pet Friendly Cottage - A well appointed and clean cottage with everything you really need for a stay in Orange. The hosts have really thought out what guests would need particularly families and those with the four legged fur kids. We had family come over for dinner and the kids were able to be entertained with the toys.
You will also not be too hot or too cold with the reverse cycle air conditioning and gas heater to keep you toasty on a cool night.
The house is quite central and you can walk to the main street, theatre, and grocery shops.
- Rosalind (10/5): -
- Glenn (9/5): Comfortable and clean, well-appointed cottage - Very clean, dog friendly, great individual heating/cooling in multiple rooms, very good washer and dryer, very nice and neat gardens front and back, quiet street, easy 15 minute walk to main street of Orange.
- Athaide (10/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): - Great location. Comfy beds. Great shower. Had everything that we needed for our stay. Easy check in. The heating was great as it was a bit chilly. The only thing l can think of is the Barbie could do with a bit of a clean. If we had of used it we would have had to clean it first. Not having a whinge though. Just a thought.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Haldane (9/5): -
- Natasha (10/5): - Lovely clean and warm
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - Great location, warm and cozy, dog friendly.
- Debra (8/5): Great stay - Everything Bedroon 1 bed wobbles and creaks alot.
- Duane (9/5): Fairly happy - Good heating and hot water supply Could not find any paper towels in the kitchen
- Nikki (8/5): Beautiful Orange - The house and grounds are neat and tidy. The back yard was perfect for our dog. The property was clean, but, dirty wine glasses in cupboard and some plates not washed properly. The house was well heated for that chilly night. The laminated timber floor is precarious with the laminate in areas peeling, proving to be trip hazards, the bathroom floor has been raised meaning there is a slight step up on both entrances the main entrance and the jack and Jill entrance could be problematic for someone not for warned.
There was absolutely nothing in the fridge nor any food in pantry, a few tea bags and coffee. I suggest if you stay there to do a shop prior to arriving. We had driven from Adelaide over 2 days and were a little weary when we arrived.
The house is in a great position for access to all things, and we did have a comfortable stay, you just need to be for warned of the scarcity of milk or any beverage bar tea and coffee (black) not even cold bottled water. And remember the trip hazards.
- Ron (9/5): Short ?Stay over night - V.little to say - everything we needed for a short olvern night stay before wee moved home
- Nathan (9/5): Superb -
- Maree (7/5): Good - Plenty of room - big house. The usual things that come with an old house . Dodgy floorboards & steps into bathroom. Otherwise ok.
- Wendy (10/5): Great stay - Very clean ,quite location close to what we had to do in orange .we will book again All was good
- Larissa (9/5): Superb -
- Yip (10/5): Excellent home for the family - Comfortable well presented home
- Sorel (8/5): Great spot. Easy and clean! - Good location had everything that we needed. Spacious and clean The bathroom door didn’t close or lock properly
- Maddie (7/5): Good -
- Joyce (9/5): A very comfortable stay and wonderful for the dog. -
- Madeline (8/5): A great location in lovely Orange. - The location is great and the house is a great size. The house needs some general maintenance and a bit better up keep. It was clean but not ‘deep cleaned’ in that there were a lot of cobwebs and other build up of dirt.
- Michelle (9/5): A cosy cottage, well located, perfect for a country getaway with family (and doggy) - Location was great, and easy walk into town along beautiful big wide country streets. The yard was dog friendly (no way to escape) and the front porch was a favorite place for us all to sit to catch the warm morning spring sun. All was great.
- Robert (7/5): Good over all - Great location and comfortable Rubbish in the kitchen bin
- Kyel (8/5): Great place to stay with kids. -
- Gary (9/5): Very enjoyable, would definitely stay there again. - I liked the whole experience, Had to clean the BBQ, didn’t really worry me, but it might to other people, just a heads up. Otherwise perfect.
- Tracey (8/5): Quiet stay in Orange - Very quiet location but short drive into town.
Some basic supplies included
Washer and dryer were handy
Pet friendly
Bed comfortable and nice linen Had to keep blinds shut on bedroom and side near lounge room for privacy.
As others have noted the sliding door is difficult to close fully
- Sara (4/5): Disappointing -
- Carmel (7/5): Good -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Clean! Had everything you could need! Nothing
- Cath (9/5): The place was fantastic, very modern inside. -
- Thirkettle (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Great place for a relaxing short stay. Would definitely come again and recommend to friends. - Great location and a really comfortable & cosy home. The teabags were pretty ordinary.
- Don (8/5): Enjoyable - Free to air TV showed no signal
- Justin (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable beds
Plenty of room
Clean with everything we needed
- Porter (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (8/5): Very good - Air conditioner heating in every room. Provided wifi, toiletries, laundry powder, washing facilities, toilet paper, towels, and bed linen. Off and on street parking in quiet street. Everything worked. One of the beds was a bit lumpy.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very comfortable accommodation in great location. - Central location, very well equipped and comfortable cottage, had everything we needed for a one night stay with our pet.
- Lina (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Quite happy with our two night stay at this property. - Everything necessary for a comfortable two night stay was provided. Gaining entry via the lockbox was easy. The house was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The house was warm despite it being mid-winter. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated free access to multiple streaming platforms on the tv. It was very quite and peaceful there during our stay. It was within an okay walk from the shopping/food district. There were no unreasonable requirements to be carried out before we left. We were quite satisfied with this accommodation. The door catches on the two sliding doors to the bathroom were slightly awkward to operate. There was one toilet which was located in the one bathroom. Whilst we had no trouble while we were there, it might be slightly inconvenient if you had a full house. The property was possibly a bit overpriced?
- Florin (9/5): Hope to come back to this charismatic town - Quiet place!
Charming town, with houses with character!
Large and not crowded streets!
Good place to walk our dog.
Good coffee (but not cheap!). No milk provided .... but that was no big deal, there are many shops around....
- Stephanie (9/5): Great spot to spend a couple of days exploring orange - Great location - only a short stroll into town.
It was also great that it was pet friendly! Barney loved his stay too!
Great communication with the hosts and they provided great recommendations! Everything was great!
- Liz (8/5): Comfortable - Tidy and clean Nothing

- Alyce (10/5): Exceptional - The property was gorgeous and great location.
- Evelyn (8/5): The house had everything we needed and more - Facilities for everyone from babies / toddlers to pets Position of main bath to main bed
- David (8/5): Very good - Garden and outside very overgrown
- Gemma (9/5): Great communication and process for booking a beautiful house on a quiet street, with great facilities - Location, ease of entry, cleanliness, communication Bedside lights in one bedroom not working
- Julieann (10/5): Perfect stay in Orange - The house was super clean and comfortable. The hosts have put a lot of thought into providing everything that is needed plus a lot more. The location is perfect and the neighbourhood is quiet. Our dog Dusty enjoyed his daily walks and the surrounding parks are just beautiful. Nothing
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): We were so pleased with the cottage, loved our stay - Loved everything really. The pretty garden and space to sit outside in the back yard. Fabulous big comfy couches. Whole bottle of real milk provided was so appreciated. The house feels very spacious and clean. The sliding door to bathroom from the the bedroom was hard to keep properly closed. It probably just needs a magnet to hold it. Also the bathroom floor is a bit raised from both entrances and easy to trip on but not sure what you could do about that. Otherwise no other negstives
- Benji (9/5): Great little cottage that offered everything we needed for a short or long stay! - The bed was very comfy; aircon was in all rooms, and there was a lovely little courtyard. It felt homely !The owner had thought a lot about what would make people comfortable with their stay—well done! The bathroom sliding door was broken, causing inconvenience to my mother who is 82 years old. It was particularly difficult since we shared the house with a male and a female. However, I informed them about the issue and should have offered to get it fixed ASAP.
- Keith (10/5): Great county escape close to town. Roomy, comfortable, all requirements, quiet location close to to - Roomy, comfortable, all requirements, quiet location close to town, well presented and homely Nothing really
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (7/5): Good -
- Leah (7/5): Good - Loved location and the main open space of the house The main bedroom adjoining to the bathroom had an overpowering smell of animal urine, we didn't use that bed as it was so overpowering.
The towels also felt damp. We were hoping it was because they didn't dry properly in the dryer and nothing else.
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Simone (10/5): great location in an immaculate and well appointed comfortable home. - great location in an immaculate and well appointed comfortable home.
- Ethan (10/5): Comfy homely cottage - Great location, great pillows and a very nice smell
- Donna (9/5): Very comfortable, easy to find and welcoming home. - House was large and comfortable. Everything was clean and nicely set out. Backyard was lovely to sit in. Driveway gate wouldn't stay open - maybe a brick to help with that.
- Kat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (8/5): Very good - the location was great, the lovely deck & back garden.
All of the lovely extras such as the pod machine, pods, coffee, tea and other supplies. the main couch was quite uncomfortable and it only had one toilet.
- Philc47 (8/5): Well presented Property for group up to 6 persons - Property was aell Presented and lived up to the Ratings shown on Boooking.com.
The inclusions were extensive including Umbrella and pet beding and feeding station even thought we did not need this facility. Concrete cover on Footpath was broken and a trip Hazard. the Foot Path was als uneven.
While these are not fully controlled by the owner it would be in his best interest to follow this up.
One of the party did trip but not fall over in the night when returning home from evening meal.
- Brett (8/5): Quaint cottage, well decorated and comfortable near to town in a quiet street - Location suited our purposes. Quiet street closer to town Single bathroom no separate Toilet right off the living room
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Caitlin (10/5): We had a fantastic stay, the house was clean and tidy, had eveything you needed and the beds super comfy! our cavoodle F -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very neat and tidy accomodation, had everything we needed and more! Nothing at all, the place was great!
- Narelle (10/5): Beautiful house, with all you need and more! - Was perfect for us! Booked last minute as we were travelling through Orange. It had everything we needed and more for my partner, myself as our baby. Cot was set up, toys available, split systems in all rooms, ultra clean, comfy beds and a short stroll into town along a beautiful tree lined street. Nothing. All was fantastic!
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): great place for families with kids and doggies wanting to explore Orange and surrounds - great place to stay, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, lovely front and back garden, coffee machine, stuff for doggie, stuff for babies. nothing
- Rhonda (7/5): quite good - well presented cottage but after travelling around NSW only B ‘n’ B with no breakfast or even milk. too many rules especially about all linen to be placed in laundry basket and only use one towel which, due to the heavy rain, was not pleasant.
- Joanne (9/5): comfortable - location nothing
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): lovely quiet location, neat as a pin. - for us it was a lovely quiet location. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness. absolutely everything thought of. We had our border collie with us and there were treats, bowls, bedding and toys. Garden was fully enclosed so great for letting the dog out. Garden was lovely but could do with a trim. Gates and latches are in need of some repairs. still functional so only a minor gripe.
- Tania (9/5): Superb - Loved it, my dog loved that he could run in and out as he pleased through the sliding door to the secure backyard. Inside was super clean and had everything we needed. Loved the Moss St fragrance diffusers - I'm on the hunt to buy the same ones for home :-), Highly recommend it, would happily stay there again if we are in the area. It would be great if the garden along the fence in the front yard could be trimmed up to allow a vehicle to park a bit easier. We managed to park ok, but it was tight. We were in a Toyota Kluger just to give others an idea on the space, smaller cars wouldn't have a problem. There is parking on the street, out the front of the property but we felt better having the car on the property. Next door is being renovated, the builders turned up quite early, which didn't bother us as we were already up, but if people like to sleep a bit later, it might annoy them.
- Darmanin (9/5): Easy to check in. Lovely place with comfortable rooms for up to four adults. Great value - Easy to check in. Lovely place with comfortable rooms for up to four adults. Great value Nothing. It was perfect.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - This cottage had everything!! One of the best serviced and thoughtful places that we have stayed. Very neat, tidy and comfortable. Would highly recomend.
- Ali (9/5): Superb - There're extra kitchenette , toiletries, bedding etc... that gave us feelings we stay home.
The backyard was exceptional. there's an AC in every room. the outside table wasn't clean , and I had to clean it with the provided cleaning stuff. Wasn't a big issue🙂.
- Roop (9/5): Superb -
