Guest Reviews
- Ana (10/5): Amazing get away into a private paradise - The cabin is in a shared space only with kangaroos and amazing views. The reception was just so thoughful with fresh eggs, chocolate and a wine waiting for us in the fridge, we could not have asked for a better time. Perfect get away destination for couples. Having to leave when the weekend was over!
- Freya (10/5): - Beautiful location, woke up to kangaroos everywhere. So relaxing and the stars were amazing.
- Loubser (8/5): -
Magique.
- Aaron (7/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Time House in Kangaroo Valley. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and very easy to find. The house had everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and convenient. The only downsides were that some of the floorboards were broken and lifted, and the place could have been a bit cleaner.

- Samith (10/5): We enjoyed a perfectly serene escape in our cozy tiny cottage, where the beautiful views and warm ambiance kept the outs - Nice location and ambience Nothing
- Tony (7/5): Great location and lovely outlook. Not worth the money for poor condition facilities and issues. - Location. Full of spider webs and a large Huntsman ended up in my jacket. Spider crap on blinds. Bed support causes squeaking, Had to was AC filter as dust was falling out of it onto bed sheets. Laminated floor split and sun damaged. Caught toe on floor boards. Car park in mud and a long way from Cabin when raining. Nowhere to park safely when stormy with tree branches, twigs etc falling. Poor lighting in bathroom so hard for wife to do makeup for wedding. BBQ in bad shape. Would be good value if $100 a night less.
- Karlien (10/5): Delightful tiny house in beautiful surroundings - Very special experience: a tiny house in a field full of kangaroos. The accomodation is comfortable and fully equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Jerry (8/5): - The location and transparency Na
- Matthew (7/5): - Location solitude and serenity of the surroundings Aircon control was faulty
- Charmaine (4/5): - The location Broken glass on the floor. Mould accumulating in the bathroom corner. No furniture to put your clothes in. No bathroom furniture to put anything on. Dirty shower. Lack of somewhere comfortable to sit outside. Coffee pod machine not set up on counter. All the finishes are delaminating, some exterior structures are beginning to rust. Quite expensive for what you get.
- Theresa (4/5): A place to sleep in a lovely area but not comfortable. - Location and the kangaroos who came to visit . Nice eggs and additional treats. The bed, cheap fixtures.
- Kylie (8/5): Fantastic for a weekend getaway to relax in a peaceful location - This lovely tiny house was very well appointed, and the added extras such as chocolates, wine and eggs were a wonderful surprise.
- Farahnaz (7/5): Good -
- Logan (9/5): The tiny home was a perfect getaway for my partner’s belated birthday and we loved every moment of it! Thank you so much - The property was very nice, clean and private. It was a cute little tiny home with all the amenities that we need. The property needs some more entertainment like card or board games but other than that it was great!
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haylea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (9/5): Great stay to spend time outdoor and explore the Kangaroo Valley! - Great escape into nature, with heaps of wildlife, yet close to Kangaroo Valley village.
The tiny home has everything you need for an overnight stay as a couple.
The fire pit is lovely to spend the evening outdoor, with a glass of wine. Some optimizations/ quick wins to make the space more comfortable for stays longer than one night: some hooks on the wall, storage drawers under the bed, little shelf in the bathroom etc. We stayed 2 nights and it rained so struggled a little bit with indoor space.
- Maddison (9/5): Perfect little getaway in our tiny home, I didn’t want to leave! - The gorgeous area it was in, we loved the wildlife and natural space around the house. The only thing we didn’t have was hot water for the shower, we had cold showers each day but we weren’t too fussed.
- Luke (8/5): Can’t wait to do it again - We have always thought about buying a tiny home, it was a good experience No Instant coffee and it had a leak
- Rebecca (10/5): We absolutely loved it. The owner was contactable to answer any questions we had prior to our stay, the area itself is q - Perfect for a spacious and quiet getaway!
- Tegan (9/5): Lovely property set in a paddock with views of the mountains. Kangaroos visited in the afternoon - Beautiful remote location and the kangaroos that visited.
- Santiago (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaycer (10/5): Perfect for weekend get away, especially with one best friends or your partner. - The whole property, seeing kangaroos jump through the property, the amount of windows to watch all the wildlife through. Everthing was nice and simple which made for a great stay N/a
- Jeremy (1/5): no hot water... - no hot water. assistance from property management left a lot to be desired...
- Madison (10/5): Super cute and cosy! - It has the most comfy bed! It was very secluded and very romantic. Wish we had of made use of the fire pit. We were also welcomed with a few treats that went down great for getting ready for the wedding we were attending! It needed block out curtains. It was very bright in the morning.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaviraj (7/5): Good -
- Dolores (10/5): Such a romantic place. - The privacy. Location. Tidiness. The host left us with a welcome wine, bar of chocolate and marshmallows for smores. Also had the firewood ready for us. Saw mob of kangaroos while we were enjoying the campfire. Nothing to NOT like. But as still quite remote, we saw a brown belly snake on our 2nd night and it slithered under the tiny home. Just caution for other guests to be vigilant and careful.
- Phil (10/5): Weekend away for birthday - So tranquil and relaxing
- Bradley (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -

- Alan (7/5): Quirky - and walking access could easily be improved - It's a tiny house so definitely quirky - very comfortable bed - small but perfectly okay bathroom facilities The 70-80 metre walk from the car would be much better if it was an all-weather path and there was an all-weather surface area in front of the house - also an awning over the door would be great. It was raining when we left which made checking out tricky. Some other minor things which we'll take up with the owner.
- Zheng (6/5): It is okay, but won't go there again. Thanks. - The quietness of the space. The place is clean and well-orgnized. The cabin space is small. Cooking (BBQ) outside is cool/not pleasant in the winter. The nights I stayed were windy and rainy, the sounds caused me sleeplessness...

- Adelaide (10/5): thank you so much for a lovely stay, it exceede expectations and was great value for money. would love to return for a s - the location was beautiful, the eggs and wine were greatly appreciated and the scenery was fabulous in wet weather the area just outside the steps gets very boggy and slippery
- Amy (10/5): Ultimate peace & quiet - Really lovely, peaceful and quiet, coffee and snacks provided, got to see so many kangaroos, remote check in and out were so lovely for the no-people quiet weekend my brain was searching for!
- Matthew (9/5): An enjoyable experience with great views - Ample facilities for semi camping experience in the countryside
- Madhuri (10/5): We had a great time at the tiny house. It was so good to get away from our busy lives and spend a night here. The locati -
- Sheila (8/5): Very good - Love the overall stay in Gumnut. It is well kept tiny home The parking was not allowed near the house and it was raining and we have to walk all our stuff in the puddle of mud :(
- Cyndall (9/5): Cute tiny accom that’s cosy and great value for money! -
- Patricia (9/5): Only stayed one night and I think that would be all we could stay.It was a little too small for us - Location was perfect as we attended a wedding at Melrose The parking was a little far from the cottage. As it was raining it was a bit slippery
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - We love it so much! So special
- Raymond (10/5): Fun and new experience. Definitely would do again. - The location was nice and convenient and close by the valley. It was nice and secluded with no one around you and felt very open. It was a great one night stay and felt cozy overnight. Definitely a fun place to stay and feel like your in a totally different place. Great if you want to stay in the area and don't have any camping gear. Having a fire to warm up at night and great amenities. The host is so welcoming and can arrive at anytime. great option for late night people like us who don't know what time coming at. Definitely would recommend. Lots of bugs at night so be prepared for that. Overall. Nothing bad about the stay.
- Travel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanhsa (9/5): Superb -
- Dilini (7/5): Overall it was a nice experince. - Kristien was so thoughtful. There were some eggs and milk kept in the fridge. We made a quick breakfast before we go for hiking. It was too small and It was so warm during the day.
- Tom (7/5): Lovely Spot, Bring a Bike - It was a 20min walk from the Wedding Venue we were attending for a friend. The location is handy for those with bike or a car, don't stay there if you're walking to walk as it's a little too far to the town. 35+ deg day and the property owner had left it all closed up, it was a sauna on arrival. Really could do with a packet of tissues as no one wants to use toilet paper to blow their nose. Bet squeaked just looking at it :)
- Alana (9/5): Perfect harmony with nature. -
- Michael (9/5): A great little stay that was comfortable! Highly recommend! - Isolated and comfortable. Bed was great and the little touches like marshmallows were excellent! It was raining quite heavily when we went and there was limited cover outside. A cover for the table and chairs in the future could be a good solution.
- Johan (10/5): Excellent! - Peaceful, beautiful countryside.
- Soydan (10/5): Sustainable, cozy, stunning, and beautiful - Beautiful landscape, just a few minutes away from the city centre. Well designed cabin, and great communication. Nothing really. Yes there is not much water pressure but this is kinda mentality why we don’t choose five star hotel and prefer to stay in the middle of nature plenty of bush, wildlife.
- Samman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Azaria (7/5): Great getaway for 1-2 nights. - Great location and we saw kangaroos at dusk too which was lovely. Very cute touches- eggs and chocolate etc. hosts were very responsive.
(note: there is a portable cooking top in one of the drawers, we didn’t realise until after we had gone out for dinner) It poured on our visit so we got soaked taking our stuff to canon as you have to park a little away from it. We got hardly any sleep as the roof is tin and the rain was pelting it along with whistling winds which made the cabin shake.
- Sadiranga (9/5): Excellent -
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksandar (8/5): Perfect location for a peaceful getaway. - Beautiful surrounds in a lovely tiny home. Well appointed and very generous welcome pack on arrival. Only that the water pressure was a little weak in the shower, but that's understandable noting the property is on a farm and fed by tank water.
- Helen (8/5): Really enjoyed my stay- a little refuge with lavender all around - Lovely fresh eggs for me to cook- added some fresh asparagus brought from my sisters garden in blue mountains! Squeeze of lemon- delicious Water pressure failed when showerin
- Janet (10/5): Lovely peaceful surroundings - Lovely tiny house in a beautiful quiet setting. Lots of birds and other wildlife surround you. The bed was very comfortable and there is a deck and a brazier that extend the living areas for you to enjoy. We had dinner in Kangaroo Valley which is only a very short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was very cold the night we stayed so another blanket would have made it more comfortable.
- Salvina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Varsha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (8/5): Lovely spot for a weekend getaway - Lovely location and property, perfect for a weekend getaway.
We had a couple of issues with the water and the hosts were very quick to act on them and make sure our stay was comfortable. They also left marshmallows and some other treats which was a lovely touch! Chairs outside aren't too comfortable to sit back and relax by the fire. We had our camping chairs with us which was a great alternative!
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (10/5): Wonderful road trip away - Self check in after prepayment online. Hosts easily contactable, very clean, beautiful location and a fire pit. Issue with water when we first arrived but hosts sorted it very quickly without qny inconvenience to us. Reccomend checking when you arrive so hosts are able to fix before its too late in the day.
Need coffee pods for the coffee machine :)
- Hagar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (8/5): Very good -
- Yuefan (8/5): alright - the setup didn’t see kangaroo or other wide animal during the stay
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Yunfeng (8/5): Cute and peaceful - Heated water not prepared
- Adrian (7/5): Very pleasant and relaxing - The location was lovely and enjoyed the large open windows and fire pit. Hot water was reliable. BBQ wasn’t clean and the electric hot plate didn’t work.
- Sinan (8/5): not bad. nice little getaway from the business of the city - clean. hosts had thought about everything you could possibly need. they had milk and eggs in the fridge and a few other bits and pieces. not as quite and secluded as it may look. we heard the neighbours drinking and talking all night long.
