- Abu (10/5): Beautiful quite place for a perfect holiday with the susurrus of the river - We had a wonderful stay at this charming property in Porepunkah. The location is ideal—just a short 5–6 minute drive to Bright, yet far enough to escape the school holiday crowds. A cozy coffee and breakfast spot is only a 2-minute walk away, adding to the convenience. Judith was incredibly kind and flexible, allowing us an early check-in and a slightly late check-out. Her instructions were clear and efficient, making everything smooth from the start. The property itself is a gem—nestled right on the river with the soothing sound of a spring flowing nearby. There’s a lovely outdoor cooking area with benches, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings. Inside, the space is well laid out with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a combined living/kitchen area. All rooms are equipped with heaters, and the fireplace inside comes with plenty of firewood, adding a warm and cozy touch. The humorous wall art was a delightful surprise—my son especially loved the donkey painting! Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. This place truly offers a peaceful and memorable escape. Highly recommended! Nothing

- Natasha (10/5): Peaceful stay near the snow - Had a great stay at this home. It was perfect for a group of friends escaping for a long weekend. Very close to Mt Buffalo for the snow, and only a 5 minute walk from the local pub/shops and 10mins to Bright. Quiet and peaceful.

We spend a week in the Bright area every second year and know the area. We find this property very well presented and practical. We are a family of four, and it perfectly fits our family. The host was very responsive and attended to all our needs. The actual property is even more beautiful than the pictures. Nothing we did not like.

Fabulous location every day we could plan something different with bike and walking tracks on the doorstep, stroll down to the cafe or pub in Porepunkah, relax in the beautiful backyard, swim in the ovens river. House had everything we needed, and Judith & Jeff were very helpful hosts. Perfect! Would definitely stay again!

Walked around in t shirt n shorts during winter at home. Kitchen was well stocked, knives were sharp, pans were in good condition. Big sized fridge. Bed was comfortable. Hot water was quick. 5 mins drive to bright. Amazing food nearby, tomahawk is a must try in bright. Woolies/coles just 5 mins drive away. Sofa was comfy, good blankets. Tv was big and wifi was good. Washing and dryer was efficient. Surprisingly, all the chairs in the house were very comfortable. The host was super friendly and prompt. Wish there was 2 bathrooms
