• cvetka (6/5): - The view and location were great. On entering the property, there was bird poo on the front step going in. The second bathroom is downstairs, a shower and toilet but no sink to wash your hands, and in a very grim environment. Not very appealing for six adults. We all used the upstairs bathroom.The lovely views obscured by dirty windows.

• Gemma (8/5): Would have loved to stay longer, it was very relaxing - The ocean views were amazing, the house was always warm. I loved the kitchen window (at the hot plates) it was so nice to make a coffee with a view. There wasn’t much in the yard to do. I would’ve liked an under cover clothes line. We stayed for a week and we had 1 tea towel and only 1 bin liner.

• Jem (10/5): Brilliant stay, warm, cozy, great set up and really enjoyed the stay! - May 2025. The place was super clean, neat and tidy. Beds were super comfy and the bedding was super warm which was amazing! Bedroom heating was definitely sufficient, and although we never needed any TV's, having one in every bedroom + the lounge would be excellent for those with kids on a family trip. Bathroom had a heated floor which was sooooo nice to have. Split system reverse cycle in the lounge was great, and I must add the kitchen bay window was great for lovely morning sun warmth in the mornings while making a cuppa and contemplating what activities to do for the day. House reno was done well and really lovely. We were lucky with morning sunshine to greet our day and the front verandah set up was beautiful for the morning coffee and breakfast to soak up the sun and get a vitamin D hit. Enjoyed being part of the local neighbourhood watching the daily dog walks and local folk in the area. Very relaxing. Loved our stay!! Would suggest "urgently" putting a temperature restrictor on the hot water supply to the house, as it was VERY dangerous to manage with risk of severe burns every time we showered. Pretty minor; but overall, some of the kitchen fry pans could do with updating as they're a bit knackered, plus some extra staples like olive oil or a cheap block of cooking butter on arrival for basic cooking would be so beneficial. Some instant coffee back up recommendation as well. The coffee pods supplied are usually never enough because they're not cheap to supply, and that's fair enough - we get that. I've had other accom homes do this with these little extra's and a 'please replace if you use the last of it' policy clearly signed in the kitchen which works wonders in my experience. These items would take it from great to 'fantastic'.
• Denise (8/5): Very good - The house is perfect I think what would make it even more perfect as a fireplace. Otherwise can't complain very well equipped and comfortable. The house is exactly as expected. I would recommend and if I came back to Apollo Bay I would rebook Unfortunately we didn't get any good weather while there so we didn't even get to swim! Not anyone's fault of course

• Sarah (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean comfy beds it was nice having decent appliances and kitchenware that suits someone who likes cooking I have already purchased the same egg poacher. We enjoyed home cooked meals and a short walk to the beach. Overall, the place is amazing 👏 🤩 It would have been a 10/10 if Windows looking out to the beach where clean. It looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time.
• Jessica (7/5): Great place. Bad customer service. - Nice place. Clean. Has most things needed. Good location. Good views. Customer service. We should have been allowed to cancel our reservation for free according to the ACCC. They added changes to the terms and conditions through house rules (which we found was a bit stricter than normal and the potential of a cleaning fee) AFTER booking/payment. According to page 8 of the ACCC Travel and Accommodation document, "Examples of terms that may be unfair include those allowing the business to: ...  increase the fees and charges payable without the right for the consumer to terminate (free of any penalty).". While I have never been charged a cleaning fee as I always follow the rules, it would have only been fair for them to allow us to cancel the reservation for free.

• Samantha (10/5): Our stay was faultless - Fantastic home. Perfect for an adult family of 6. So close to the beach. Walking distance to shops, pub etc
• Dan (9/5): Superb - House was amazing. Exactly what we wanted from a beach side trip. Views of the ocean from the deck and living room are good for the soul. The layout of the house is very relaxing, everything provided works, is clean and in great condition. I'd happily stay again.

• Crystal (9/5): Beach views, Close to everything - Loved the view. Loved that it was a walk away from the beach. It was modern and had everything we needed for a weekend trip. Everything was very close and a short drive. Very happy with our stay. As we were there during the earthquake, it was a little scary knowing how the house stood on steel stilts, was worried the house would collapse, but the house made it through.
