Guest Reviews
- Chelsea (9/5): Comfortable - Location, facilities Drive way, due to it being on a slight incline, the rocks weren’t great to try park the car on
- Deep (4/5): Never go there - There is a big issues and misinformation with this property. The message implied that there is a $300 deposit included in the payment we made for 2 days . We were not given any information that we have to give $300 security deposit on arrival. We arrived around 8 pm and tried to use the code but it didn't work. We called 100s of times on the phone and sent messages. Did everything we could but no reply. We had to travel back to Adelaide in the middle of the night with our kids and pet. We paid 4 times the prices we thougth we were paying for 2 reasons - deposit was not inclued in the rent, and we could not spend 1 night there. Poor service from host. No regard for the family safety and ensuring they had access to the property.
Very bad experience.

- Stevens (6/5): Amazing trip for the 12 of us grandchildren with our grandpa - The location was perfect The amenities and provided cleaning products. The provided images of the house for price weren’t as the actual property was
- Christine (10/5): Recommend stay for anyone.so peaceful - The peaceful location, the accommodation was well suited for either a small or large family. Well set out open plan house with everything you need, you just had to bring yourself, your linen and totally relax. Is definitely good for pets. Nothing.
- Christine (2/5): Poor - no linen, security bond required, wrong bed sizes, TV not working and uncomfortable couch. - No breakfast provided. Location was nice. Accommodation was clean and tidy. No details that linen would not be supplied until after I had booked (and paid). I would not have booked if I had known there was no linen available at this time. When I found this out Booking.com allowed me to change my booking but because I had paid in full and it was only just over 24 hours until we would be at the accommodation I was unclear if I would have a cancellation fee charged so I decided not to change but go ahead.
Then was contacted by Unwind Holidays to pay additional security bond after payment in full. There were no details that this would happen on Booking.com. I was confused when the first email arrived and thought there was a mixup between me paying Booking.com and Unwind Holidays receiving my money. So initially I ignored the email only to get another one to which I replied that I had paid for the accommodation in full (I was thinking it was a fee to hold the booking). I then received another email saying this was in case I damaged the accommodation and I needed to pay. To which I had to provided my credit card details. I then have only just received the refund of the security bond - after two emails and five days (from leaving the property). I will note that I paid the $300 instantly but was told it could take between 5-14days to refund the deposit and only after they had walked through the property and checked all was in order.
The bed configurations were not clear - Large Double Bed, to me, means possible larger than normal double bed or possibly a Queen - not a King as was the case. Yes I know there were other beds but the King was the best in the house - by far.
In the second email from Unwind Holidays were were told WIFI was "unavailable at this time".
The TV did not work - not sure if this was because there was no WIFI - there was no instructions on how to get the TV to go and everything we tried was unsuccessful.
- Sara (4/5): Too expensive for what was on offer. - W ould not recommend staying at this property. On arrival the floor was very dusty and lots of dog hair, there were ants all over the floor. I contacted the owner to ask if we could have linen included but they didn’t reply so we assumed that we would somehow have to fit it all, got here and the beds were made with towels provided. Appreciated this but we then had a full car of linen. Communication could be improved. For the price this house is absolutely overrated for 2 nights we paid 1300 plus a 300 dollar bond that we better get back because this place is filthy. The tv has small sticky handprints all over the screen, no wifi, no coffee machine, microwave is stuffed and flashes when door is open or in use. The exhaust in the bathroom doesn’t work. The laundry smelled strongly of dog wee. Overall extremely underwhelmed and disappointed at the money we sacrificed thinking we would have a lovely holiday house. By the first morning the toilet paper was gone, with 7 guests this is unacceptable for the amount we paid to stay here. The bins were packed full and unable to be used. Over all it feels like no one cares. The exorbitant fees are just for minimal amenities and minimal effort on the owners behalf.
- Belinda (3/5): Would not recommend this property! Absolutely not! - The house was filthy! The rubbish bins were full to overflowing on arrival.I had to clean the kitchen, bathrooms and mop the floor before we could even move in. Bbq was broken, left dirty and rusty. There was no way you would cook on it! The outdoor enclosure for a pet had the shade cloth torn. Outside plastic chairs were dirty and one was broken. The glass sliding door at the back had filthy tracks and the glass had writing from a previous guest and you could see where past pets had licked the door. There were lollies left under the couch and floor was not clean. Very basic kitchen supplies. The pantry had a horrible smell in it. TV was poor. The location was average, part of what seemed like a gated community with no privacy. Location is about a 15 minute drive from Wallaroo. We had to chase up our refundable $300 deposit numerous times before it came back in to our account. Have not been refunded a $50 bbq as it was not in any state to use! Don't expect to see that money. Have stayed in many holiday rentals and this is the first one that has been a major disappointment.
- Jessica (7/5): Good - Beds & pillows very comfy
Crate for pets very handy No wifi , no smart tv, no green grass for kids to play on, beach front is very rocky need to walk a decent way down to soft sand
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely, Serene place - Location, location, location! Beautiful views. Dishwasher wasn't working and didn't have internet or smart TV. The BBQ was rusty, It was OK as we didn't spend a lot of time there but would be annoying on a longer stay.
- Michelle (10/5): Ideal accommodation for a pet-friendly holiday. - We loved the setup of the house - lots of bedroom configurations, and 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Great floorplan for 2 families, with the common space in the middle and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom either side. Pet facilities were excellent. Fully fenced yard, two dog beds, a crate inside and a pen outside (which we didn't use but could have). It was just so nice to know that the dogs were welcome. 24 hour ocean views and a very quiet road was bliss. We didn't venture out much, but we didn't need to. Happy to sit and look at the water and the lights at night. So many kitchen utensils to choose from, but not always the right ones. Perhaps an audit could be done, duplicate items culled.
- Henko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohammed (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Location, location, location
Supplied linen

Nice and quiet
Spaciouse rooms Not the cleanest floors, windows considering the price. Not enough cutlery and dinner wear/ mugs for the advertised capacity.
- Tenelle (10/5): Exceptional - This is the third time we have stayed there. Love the house and location, but most of all, love that our dog can join us on holiday Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely spot, beautiful accommodation - Fantastic property, well presented tidy, clean with great facilities and beautiful views
- Graham (9/5): It was a work trip so walking into a lovely house like this at the end of a working day was a great! - Location! Seaside views were fantastic, and the house was very comfortable. We will be booking this property again!
- Awesomebrado (8/5): Very good - Spacious The vacuum is not working properly. They need to replace the filter or the vacuum itself.
- Jason (8/5): Amazing - perfect place to unwind after a hard days work! -
- Kerri (10/5): Exceptional -
