Waking up every morning with a sensational view of the ocean, otters and seabirds and mountains with a sunrise that was everchanging made the start of the day something we really looked forward to. And our host was wonderful. Making sure that we had what we needed and that we were comfortable.

• Carrie (10/5): An absolutely perfect solo retreat. - The view is spectacular. The layout, size and furnishings make it feel like home. Nothing!
• Robert (10/5): Perfect weekend away! - I loved Sue's cottage. I needed a weekend away from the city and this was the perfect location. The cottage itself is very comfortable and everything you need to cook. The bed is super comfortable and I love that I could sit outside next to the fire and watch the wildlife in the ocean. As a bonus, the cabin is close to the Cowichan Valley Trail so I easily biked to Chemainus and Lady Smith. I will definitely stay here again!
• Barbara (10/5): It was a very good experience for our first ever visit to Vancouver Island. - Great view, comfortable house, lovely terraces down to the beach Except for the main road there is nowhere to walk. Walking on the beach is possible when the ride is low but it’s not an easy walk with all the shells and rocks.

• Roberto (10/5): Cozy cabin located directly on the water with kind staff - Property is located directly on the water, extremely clean and Sue is very accommodating and dedicated to her guest. I arrived not knowing the area very well and she went above and beyond for me even picked up groceries since I hadn’t rented a vehicle and was unable to get a taxi. Thank you Sue.

This wasn’t immediately comfortable and wonderful place to spend our time both inside and outside. That we couldn’t stay longer.

Heated floors in the bathroom, ocean view from the couch and dining table. It’s was very private and relaxing. The wildlife was excellent as always.
