- Elyse (5/5): Know what your getting - The View, The Lake, The Sunset , The Sunrises , the bedding was turned over and fresh. The Downstairs rooms are more like a shed, doors aren't sealed big gaps, like being outdoors. Couldn't use the lower rooms, they arent connected to the house. Amenities were dirty, dishwasher was clogged and disassembled, cutting boards were dirty, had old old eggs like crusted on them had to soak to clean, coffee maker was very much needing a cleaning, washer and dryer had lint and dirt and a wrapper in washer, the couch we found an old dental pick. The outdoor furniture was mostly broken or very stained and dirty. We have small kids I felt like I cleaned the whole time and even then there was still lots to do. The deck outside looks newly installed but very diy, doesn't look to code might not last a season, Its Raw pine and connected to the house in suspicious ways, and wabbles in an unsettling way, but hey Im not a contractor. However if I had paid someone to do that job on my own home I'd be extremely upset. For the price we paid, even with it being a deal, felt like too much. If it was lower I would have expected less. I've stayed in all sorts of places including hostels so I feel like my expectations were realistic. I'd say to the owners of the property invest in it. Get the downstairs rooms sorted, get a more invested turn over /cleaning staff, or maybe just a big deep clean. There are so many positives to the property naturally that a little but of investment would make it worth wild and possibly the price.
- Jane (8/5): we loved the location right on the lake. - best location on the west side of the lake. on the water. Dated interior. Old stained indoor dining furniture. Two bedrooms not accessible from the main floor. Outdoor stairs and balcony rail need attention. I emailed Vacasa with concerns but no response.
