• Miller (10/5): - Remoteness. Full kitchen with large refrigerator. Hot tub available (although we didn't actually use it). Hard to point out a negative except that the matress was a bit too soft for our liking (but might be perfect for others).

• Lars (9/5): Would return! So enjoyed the views even though we didn’t have great weather. Saw the northern lights from the deck too! - Private, as no one was in the other cabin at the time. Gorgeous views. Hikes right out the door. There was a mixup and our room appeared to have been slept in and otherwise used. We changed the bed as we could t reach the owners til the next day. Was confusing more than anything. He was very nice about it and we could have switched to the other cabin the next day but no need. Just a simple error about which cabin we were to be in. A bit tricky to find initially although they did give good directions.
• Alexandra (7/5): Cozy, serene and great value for money. - Location and serenity were amazing. Cottage was cute and had everything you needed. Pull out sofa corner was not working so it slanted. The sofa bed was for our girls who are young and not bothered. I did bring it up with the hosts when we left. They wished we had told them but I do t think there’s much that could have been done. The bards looked bent and I think the sofa bed needed replacing. I mentioned it more for future guests. An adult might struggle. We weren’t left bedding for the sofa bed and had to wait till quite late to receive it but the bedding received felt lovely and was clean.

• LORI (9/5): Wonderful cabin with wood fired hot tub! Loved it! - Awesome cabins with a wonderful wood fired hot tub! Chop your (provided) wood and start the fire early to get it nice and hot for evening soaking and keep bear spray out there with you too in case you get a visitor while soaking! The kitchen was very well stocked with nice dishes/pots/pans etc..including bear spray! Yes there are bears that roam the site, we found fresh bear scat very close by and was told by the owners that there are several that roam but "they're nice!" Instructions were great and good idea to arrive during daylight as it can be a bit confusing in the dark. Wonderful stay and would stay again The living room hideabed was lacking under mattress support so woke up with a sore back. It also didn't have bedding when we arrived. SInce we were 2 female friends that don't sleep together ( and booked it for 2 people ) the owners mentioned that normally they charge extra to provide bedding for 2nd bed but she wouldn't charge us for the bedding after all.So be aware that if you use 2 beds you pay extra for 2nd bed sheets/blankets. Bathroom shower is very small 30 x 30 ??

• Karla (9/5): Wonderful respite before and after tour season. Pet friendly!! - This was my second booking, and I love how quiet, clean, comfortable the cabin is. It is not a luxury hotel, but it has everything one needs in a beautiful quiet location. It is the perfect resting spot before making my journey to and from FL/AK. There is a hot tub I will try next visit.

• Gabriele (9/5): Schöne Blockhütte im Grünen - Schöne Blockhütte im Grünen mit allem was man benötigt. Empfehlen wir gerne weiter. Man sollte im Haus Nr. 2 einmal den Geschirrabtropf austauschen oder versuchen zu reinigen. Er ist wirklich sehr unansehnlich. Beim Wasserhahn in der Küche sollte evtl. mal das Sieb getauscht werden. Er spritzt so heftig, dass alles ringsum nass wird und man selbst auch.
• Natalie (10/5): Totally amazing - Everything was absolutely amazing! The cabins were clean, charming, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was truly the highlight of our stay. Communication with the hosts was very easy and pleasant, and there was even a grill available, which we really appreciated. The only thing we regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Beautiful location, comfortable beds - we enjoyed it. 😀 Some kitchen accessories could be improved or added to (one cabin had more than the other). Ensure replenishment of shampoos, coffee, teas etc.

• Theresa (10/5): Cozy cabin in the woods with most of the comforts of home. - Beautiful location in a peaceful setting. A spotlessly clean well equipped cabin. Its a short drive to Carcross. Bonus was the excellent Wi-Fi. Kind caring hosts.

Required constant attention for about four hours to heat wood fired hot tub. We were lucky to be the only ones staying, the experience might have been very different if the second cabin was occupied.

Bookings said checkout was at 1100 but when we arrived we were informed it was at 0900 during the fall season during he week. It would have been nice to be informed earlier since we arrived late to the location expecting to relax instead we had to rise early the next day.

• Gordon (8/5): Comfortable cabins centrally located - great base for exploration. - This is a great base of operations in the Southern Lakes district, within an hour drive of many points of interest. The cabins are private, well appointed overall and very comfortable; the hosts accommodating and friendly. The wood fired hot tub is impressive, a really great system...liked it so much have looked into getting one for our cottage. The design of the cabins is quite nice, but a sheltered porch would be a nice addition. We really enjoyed the privacy of the setting. The shower is constrained and would be better served with a movable or wand showerhead. The pillows were thin and poor quality and it would have been nice to see four, rather than two. The cabins are very close together, so a great spot for two couples or two gregarious parties but a little invasive for private singles who don't want to share the hot tub with strangers. There is no access to the lake locally, so if you want water, you're headed to the Carcross area and the closest groceries of any substance are in White Horse. Internet was exceptionally spotty overall.
• Karla (9/5): Superb - Property overlooks Crag Lake/Mountian. Cozy cabin. Quiet and comfortable, clean. Easy communicating with owner and adding another stay. Hot tub looks very inviting, but I'm from Florida and it is a tad too cool for me to get in.

• Russell (10/5): A beautiful oasis to save you from the winter weather - This was a short notice stay due to the weather unexpectedly changing my plans. The hosts were wonderful, very accommodating. The space was beautiful and I'd be sure to stay here with advanced planning in the future. A nicer rental than many places I've lived full time. It was perfect. I wouldn't change anything.

• Isabel (8/5): A really great stay. Would visit again. Highly recommend. - Lovely cabin. In the middle of nowhere (which we liked) so turn up with provisions. Wood fired hot tub was great. Used it every day of our stay. Lovely decking area on each cabin where we could sit and enjoy the sun. There was a fire pit also for each cabin although we didn’t use that. Owners Andrea and Jamie were super nice people who were exceedingly helpful with our personal circumstances we had. Couldn’t have asked for nicer or better hosts. Kitchen utensils (cutlery etc) were a bit random. We had everything we needed to self cater though for the four days we were there.

Really made the experience delightful. The cabin was rustic and warm and had great views. We will definitely stay there again when we’re in the area. Nothing. Everything was great!

• Christine (9/5): Nice evening in family, lots of giggles - Great addition of a jacuzzi, would advertise it though and write down directives… or even ask if we want it already light up for our arrival 😉 The sheets smelled really good. We would add a cutting board in the kitchen and improve the view in the lake by cutting some trees if possible.
