Guest Reviews
- Jewell (10/5): One of my all time favorite stays - Beautiful area, close to town, clean, many amenities. Almost anything you can think of they have left for guest use. Nothing, everything was great!
- Neil (10/5): Best place we stayed in on this vacation - Location excellent with fantastic views Nothing
- Yvan (10/5): -

- John (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed the view of Nelson and the close proximity to town. The cabin was comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed relaxing inside after a day of activities. Maria was cheerful and helpful. BunkieLand is cute. It'd be nice if the blinds blacked the bedroom a bit more. It was very bright very early in that room.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful setting and unbelievably quiet. The host was fantastic and very helpful with everything. Loved the place.
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Uli (10/5): The best place to stay in Nelson - Absolutely the best. Amazing cabin! It’s very roomy, everything is included, even fresh coffee beans. The view is amazing and nothing beats having your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake. I will never stay anywhere else in Nelson.
- The (9/5): Nice new dry sauna out our front porch! -

- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - Maria was so nice and friendly. There was plenty of items in the kitchen. Around the place were lots of cute ornaments that made you feel at home. Great place
- Linda (10/5): The location was a short distance from Nelson. - The cabin was beautiful. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed such as toaster and coffee maker. The cabin couldn't have been cleaner or decorated any better.
- Connie (10/5): Private clean and cozy cabin - Super quaint private cabin on lovely property
- Proulx (10/5): Exceptional - I would highly recommend staying at Morning Star & Bunkieland. The location was great, as it's only a few minutes outside of Nelson, with a gorgeous view of Kootenay lake.
It's such a charming property. The Cabin was cozy and had all the amenities one could ask for. The grounds were lovely with all kinds of special touches such as a deck table and chairs, lounging chairs, and use of a firepit which was a nice touch.
Maria is a lovely and hospitable host with a kind heart. She went above and beyond by mailing back my book I had forgotten. A gesture I'll soon not forget. We will definitely be back!
- Shaylen (9/5): A one of a kind experience! - The view, the thoughtful touches like having games available, magazines to read, the quiet, the comfortable beds, the art pieces around the property, the small animals that we saw while sitting on the deck. I loved everything....no negatives. I couldn't figure out how to work the cable tv channels but that was actually a bonus because I didn't want to spend time watching tv.
- Laurie (10/5): Best stay ever at this cute cabin! - I’d give this little gem a zillion stars if I could! Want to live here for the rest of my life! That I can’t live there forever 😂
- Gilles (8/5): This is an older cabin but everything (appliances plumbing and heating)is very well maintained -

- Yore (9/5): Superb -
- Dimler (8/5): Very good -
- Laurie (10/5): Urban cabin - The setting is surprisingly peaceful. The view is beautiful. Everything about the cabin is comfortable and welcoming. Road noise was ever-present but never a deal-breaker.
- Mcfarlane (9/5): Superb -
- Aiden (10/5): Great - Cozy cabin. Great amenities. Close to town.
- Lorraine (10/5): Revisit after living in the cabin 20+ years ago…chance to revisit Nelson! - Wonderful unimpeded view overlooking Nelson & its lights at night. Deer at the front door.
Cabin is extremely clean & tidy.
Comfortable bed for restful nights.
- Amanda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (8/5): We were so impressed with the welcoming, problem-solving and attention that our host, Maria, offered - Our only issue was the steep ladder climb to get to the loft bed. However our host, Maria, was wonderful and hastily found a new replacement accommodation the next morning. Acknowledging more obviously in advertising that the Bunkieland cabins had a steep set of stairs that could pose a problem for elders, persons with a handicap or anyone having a balance problem. These cabins are perfect for the super fit outdoorsy types !
- Patrice (8/5): Camping cabin experience in the woods - Quiet camping cabin . We enjoyed the facilities in a beautiful setting. Motion detector light on the bathroom wasn't working. It was dark but the fullmoon lit up the area just fine.
Did not know where the wood was kept for a fire. Not sure if fires were even allowed there. 🤔
- Xiaoke (6/5): Pleasant -
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nelson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (1/5): Bad -
- Jackie (9/5): The cottage was so very quaint and cozy. The welcome note and chocolates were wonderful touches! - The cabin's location was excellent, just outside of the city of Nelson. There was nothing really major that we didn't like. The bathroom fan was quite noisy and a few basic spices in the kitchen would be nice, but again, nothing major!
