Guest Reviews
- Janelle (7/5): Served its purpose, but the layout and room/bed configuration was a bir difficult for 3 young children. - Availability, secure parking, facilities. Aircon didn’t work in one bedroom, not advised before check-in. This led to uncomfortable sleep for guests.

- Burford (9/5): - Great location, spacious and cleanliness. Sandflies. Lol.
- Tarlea (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious Nothing
- Fiona (9/5): Awesome! -
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - Everything was very good
- Yasmin (10/5): Loved it, choosing this house to stay in made out holiday a breeze - Well equiped, has everything you need to make you stay easy and comfortable, tastefully decorated, well lit and close the the beach and park
- Glenn (7/5): Overall pretty good. - Good facilities but no aircon in downstairs living area, Cleanliness - Lounge cover was dirty/stained. Had to wash the aircon filters in the lounge as they were clogged, all aircons were mouldy and dirty filters. Fridge hadnt been cleaned, mould on the seals and grubby shelves. couldnt have upstairs aircons on at night (while sleeping) as the outside units vibrate and resonate through the downstairs bedroom when trying to sleep.

- Megan (8/5): Quiet, Clean and Comfortable - The property was very well equipped. They really thought of everything a family might need for a stay. It was generally very clean except for the heavily stained (light coloured) lounge. The bedrooms were spacious and 2 living areas with extra fold out sofa bed was a bonus.
The property is managed through a real estate who were most helpful. They answered their phone when I called, even on a Sunday. If they didn't answer right away, they called back ASAP.
10/10 The "owner" of the property lives next door. On the Sunday afternoon, during our stay, he decided he would come onto the property to mow the lawn. My elderly mother was woken from her nap by a strange man outside of her bedroom. He did not see he was doing anything wrong. I had to ask him to leave and come back at a more appropriate time, LIKE WHEN THERE'S NO PAYING GUESTS.

- Lisa (5/5): Underwhelming accom - Great Location - The property was well equipped and well laid out. it was in a fab location right next to the park and close to the CBD.
There were extra amenities like a baby gate for the stair well which were appreciated. The management that leased this property were rude and had a different policy to booking.com - this resulted in me paying in full early. A damage deposit of $500 was also required with threatening emails about damage. Upon arrival, the house was full of minor damage, of which I photographed and sent over 20 photos to the management in fear I would be charged for this. The deposit was not returned until I demanded it two weeks later.
The house, though ok inside, was grubby outside and looked like housing commission. The landscaping was poor.
Our young family needed a clean place close to a park for naps and early bedtimes. We felt instantly awful like we were going to lose this short rental when communicating with the management of Beach Breeze.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Sharona (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (10/5): Great holiday home! - Nice large house with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, we loved it! The patio upstairs was too hot, just needed a fan, the internet wasn't great
- Susie (9/5): Superb -
- Kris (8/5): Very good -
- Tabitha (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. Comfortable beds. The two living areas were good. It was good having a washing machine & dryer.
Well equipped kitchen. Communication was great. The driveway was tricky to reverse out of. After a week, it was fine.
- Megan (9/5): Great accomodation - Clean & great location No negatives whatsoever
- Marius (9/5): Very nice unit, close to the beach. Well maintained, neat and clean, loved it. - Neat, clean and well equipped. A little bit away from shops when you fly in and rely on taxis.
The Beam scooters was not an option, they are more expensive than a maxi taxi.
- Darrell (10/5): Exceptional - It is located in a great spot 👌 The downstairs toilet was leaking, so it was a bit noisy in that room
- Noel (8/5): Very good - Broken toilet seat. No dishwasher detergent.
- Talia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marnie (8/5): Very good -
- Jinli (10/5): good experience - We loved the attention to detail at this place, there is oil for cooking, the toiletries are all there and the beds are well made. attractions such as queens park are nearby as well. no
- Harriss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (8/5): Great value for money and would stay there again. - The location was great because it was very quiet and peaceful.
The overall set up of the house was exceptional. The fans were noisy and some did not have variable speeds.
Common inclusions were lacking for 4 adults staying 5 nights:
1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom
no tissues
1 bath towel each
no washing powder
no pantry staples .
Flying in from Brisbane and Sydney and having to purchase washing powder, toilet paper, tissues, etc was inconvenient. Because there were no pantry staples, we did not use the kitchen facilities.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brendan (8/5): Very good -
- Tyson (9/5): Perfect beach side living - Property had all the equipment required to make any stay as effortless as possible, like a home away from home just BYO food. It's a really well looked after place that's right by the beach and minutes from the city hub... what more could you want! Honestly the only minor pickup we noticed was the lack of towel rails. Apart from that there really is nothing critical to say about the place.
- Fickling (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): A comfortable and practical holiday home at the beach. - The location was very quite in east Mackay, the lockup garage was good to safely park the car, the park was adjacent. All the kitchen appliances worked and the kitchen was full functional. The upstairs area did get very hot so having the Air-con on was a necessity. The downstairs bedroom faced east so the strong morning sun was not blocked out by the vertical binds. Overall the window blinds could be upgraded to improve the shading impact.
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Elise (8/5): While our overall stay was great, the issues raised after departure were a bit pedantic. - The house is just spacious enough for a group or large family, with a small yard, huge garage, and little balcony off the upstairs living areas. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen seemed to have everything we required. Minor issues - there was no linen left out for the sofabed, so it was fortunate we had brought some extras of our own and could get by. There are two bathrooms, but only one towel rail? We had four people sharing an ensuite with nowhere to hang damp towels after showers, so the linen became dirty very quickly. There is a washing machine and dryer, but we were out of the house most of the day, so there was no real opportunity to do this. There were cockroaches and ants in the kitchen and bathroom areas, and I don't think there was any bug spray (or at least, I didn't find any) to use. It was kind of unclear which wheelie bins belonged to the property, as they didn't appear to be numbered. Finally, my group was charged for additional cleaning, which was outlined to me as "hand-marks on the mirrors" and "hand-marks on the walls" both of which I'd expect to be covered in a standard clean of a rental property, and not as extras. We were also notified after departure that "the towels were dirty" as if it was unexpected that a group of adults sharing two bathrooms at the beach for 3 days is going to leave dirty towels.
