Guest Reviews
Goed, groot bed, goede airco.
- Mircea (10/5): Amazing experience in the middle of nature - This property is just amazing, it has everything you need and it is in the middle of nature. We had Tucans and monkeys right near the house and the jungle sounds are incredible. Totally worth to stay here for an authentic experience!
- Neville (5/5): Nice outlook but reconsider given that the power can die at any time! - We were met at the property gates but drove by the property because we were given an address and the navigation system could not identify the address. It would be best if the owners put the name of the complex "Las Palmas" because there is a huge gate with this name...therefore making it easier. The property is a long way along a dirt track off the main road, so the name of the complex/ entry is advisable to make it more simplified. Good supply of towels. Great washer and dryer for a family. The cabin itself is neat and tidy and the outlook is lovely with jungle. We saw possums, butterflies and tucans from the deck while swimming which was lovely. Thank you. The remote to enter was given to us with flat batteries. The power went out on 2 separate occassions over 4 days. Once for 12 hours leaving us without aircon, fan, water, fridge(food spoiled), nothing to flush toilet, no shower, no wifi, no tv, no communication to outside world, in the dark. The second time 4 hours. The comms could have been better instead of a msg stating, :I will call the electrical company, somthing along the lines of, "We apologise for the inconvenience, we are working on it and will let you know when it is sorted. Can we offer help of any kind in the mean time?" The fly screens are coming off in the main bedroom so insects came in. The kitchen had 3 plates, 3 bowls and 3 small plates but there were 4 of us meaning we had to hand wash all the time. 2 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 4 - more would be better. Location a bit too remote given that the power was so unreliable/ unsafe/ uncomfortable with children/ health conditions. The road entering is dirt/ unsealed and full of holes. It is possible with a slightly elevated car, but I would not do it with a low car or in the dark/wet. All in all, I would recommend staying in town unless the hosts invest in a generator otherwise you are paying for facilities that you are not receiving eg) power, water, wifi, aircon etc.
