• Chris (5/5): Not suitable/safe for children aged 2-10 years, £200 cash deposit required - - As described, the property has a beautiful, traditional feel. - The host was there to greet us when we arrived - It is well equipped with modern white goods, cutlery, towels (except a missing face towel), etc. - Fast wifi - Reasonably stocked with some essential consumables; better than average but not on par with top places - Not suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 10. It is like a museum where kids aren't allowed to use the courtyard or touch anything. - The upstairs is not safe for young children, and they must not be allowed to use the balcony - The host asked us to pay a £200 deposit in cash when we arrived for incidentals not listed in the T&Cs - As our flight time changed, we had to leave an hour earlier than planned, but the host couldn't be there at 10 am to return our deposit which led to uncertainty and back and forth before it was done several days later, at an exchange rate lower than what we used - The host initially accused us of taking a basic white face towel (1 euro?) with us. While he recognised it was insignificant and wouldn't charge us, I didn't appreciate someone suggesting we took it accidentally or not - Many fixtures are fragile, and stuff comes off with a simple touch, e.g. bed posts, toilet roll screws, drawer hinges, etc.; very easy to damage/break something - The sofa is very deep and not comfortable to sit in - The TV is not in front of the sofa so not suitable for entertainment - There was a weird smell coming from what must have been overflowing sewage from the restaurant up the hill; while not the fault of the host, it was another aspect that was not ideal - There are so many birds living in the courtyard that there is bird poo on the balcony (the day after cleaning) and courtyard. This also adds to a cacophony of sounds very early in the morning - The clothes drying line is not ideal; it does not tense/lock to apply clothes well - Due to the very old nature of the accommodation, it has little noise insulation, so noise is reflected around the house. A person using one toilet is heard everywhere.
• Rebecca (8/5): Pretty Location - but would have liked a highchair for our granddaughter as a cot was provided! - Great Location and a lovely outdoor space which was private, quiet and very pretty. Great place to stay to explore the Trodoss Mountains and surrounding vineyards. Nice bowl of fruit and bottle of wine on arrival which we enjoyed. We travelled with our little granddaughter (18 months). A cot was provided for her but no highchair which made breakfast / evening meals awkward and rather dangerous as someone had to hold her. The bedrooms were rather cramped and there was no room for our case so we put it in the upper sitting room. There was an assortment of old mugs for hot drinks; I would have preferred them to be matching but then I'm quite fussy over things like that! The water pump made a strange noise at night but if the loos weren't flushed it was ok!
• Miriam (10/5): Loved it - This was one of the best houses we stayed. 3 beautiful bed rooms, two living rooms, amazing kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat. The outside yard was big, with pot flowers, fountain and places to seat and relax. In a beautiful area of the village, walking distance from the center. Most important, was the hot water pressure and enough hot water for everyone one, after every hiking day we had in the trodos. There was nothing

Thank you John and Androulla for a wonderful stay - The property felt very homely and John was an outstanding host explaining everything about the house. Perfect location and around the corner from wonderful restaurants and just a few minutes to the square with all the cafes. Walking through the Courtyard Door is is a little haven, safe and secure whilst the outside world is left behind. So lovely to be in the centre of the village and hearing village life around you.
