Le bâtiment, les commodités et le confort offert ont fait de notre séjour une réussite sans aucun accroc. Il faut être très difficile pour trouver du négatif !
• Myriam de (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf op een prachtige locatie - Accommodatie ligt midden in het centrum. Toplocatie! Het huis van binnen was ook mooi ingericht. Keuken was zeer compleet ingericht, gezellige woonkamer. Goede bedden, kortom echt een aanrader. Eigenlijk beviel alles.

• Bettina (9/5): Wir waren in der Zeit des Weihnachtsmarktes da und es war sehr schön adventlich. - Die Ausstattung und Lage war sehr gut. Die Treppen waren leider sehr steil und auf der untersten und 2ten Etage ist keine Toilette, so dass es für ältere Personen nachts beschwerlich ist.

• Sarah (7/5): - Angenehm eingerichtet Direkt in der Altstadt Hilfreiche Anweisungen zur Anreise und Parken plus Hausregeln Ausreichend Besteck,Teller für viele Leute, recht gut ausgestattete Küche Betten waren bequem Einfaches Einchecken mit Code für die Tür Es musste eine Kaution hinterlegt werden Badezimmer waren in keinem guten Zustand (Fliesen übermalt, Handtuchhalter locker, WC des Bades mit Wanne war locker) Bad war nicht sauber (Unterhose unter der Heizung gefunden) Dusche ist sehr niedrig - mein Bruder mot 1,95m musste sich knien zum duschen Duschtür dreckig und wirklich alt Garten ungepflegt (Rasen schon mehr als 25cm lang) Es fehlte Spüli und Wischtuch in der Küche Die Heizungskörper fingen mitten in der Nacht an zu klopfen so dass ich aufwachte und auf Fehlersuche gehen musste

Etage und die Schlafzimmer auch im EG und in der 3. Etage bedeutet viel hoch und runter Rennerei … 🥴

• Theresa (7/5): Great experience with some caveats - The house is really unique and has a great look. The location is extremely convenient, everything in Monschau old Town can be visited by foot but it is still very quiet and private. The check in process was easy and unproblematic. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped for a lot of people.The beds were comfortable. This house is really unique because it was so nicely renovated from an original house but that also makes it not so great for tall people or people with small children that need to be carried or with people who have difficulties walking. The showers especially were a challenge for my >2m tall family members. The stairs are very steep. The pillows were not that comfortable. The house was unfortunately pretty dusty. As someone with a dust allergy, I could not sit in the living room where the couches and faux sheepskin had apparently collected dust. We also struggled with sometimes very loud noises from the radiators which were not conducive to a good night's rest.
• Craig (8/5): Beautiful property - beware deposit and cleaning - This a lovely property in a beautiful old building, but with a modern, chic touch inside. The owners have decorated it very nicely to create a nice, cosy atmosphere. The location is superb, you will be right in the centre of the town. We visited here for the Christmas market and were very happy the accommodation. In terms of the actual property, there is a damp smell when you enter the house on the ground floor and it is very cold down there at this time of the year. This put us off of using the bedroom located on the ground floor. One of the shower rooms is small and with no windows, but this can’t be helped given the old building and layout of the house. In terms of booking, I did not realise that the owners required a deposit when making the booking. This was not clear on Booking.com and the owners messaged to tell me this about one month after making the booking. If I had known about the deposit, I would not have booked this property. I understand why the owners wish to charge a deposit, but I don’t think it is necessary and I don’t think that deposits should be permitted on Booking.com. I would have preferred a contract stating that any damages would need to be covered. I am not sure if this is something the owners can offer, but the deposit will certainly put many people off of booking this property, which is a shame because it’s a fabulous property. Finally, it is worth noting that my deposit was refunded, but I got almost £20 less back than the deposit I paid to the owner. This may be due to the exchange rate or bank charges, but I feel that it is unfair to be forced to pay a deposit and then not receive the same amount back. I also noticed that the cleaning fee is very high and I don’t think that the owners should have so many rules for cleaning at the end of a guest’s stay. It should be pointed out that customers have to pay a hefty fine if they put rubbish, particularly glass, in the wrong bag, and whilst I understand this fine is imposed by the council, the owners/cleaning staff should take responsibly for that. It is becoming quite trendy in the hospitality industry to charge a huge cleaning fee and then expect the customers to clean up before they leave. This feels wrong.
