Guest Reviews

- Hans-Dieter (10/5): Sehr schönes Ferienhaus - Sehr charmante Unterkunft
- Richard (9/5): Quite special - Such a lovely place in a lovely location. Bus top near by to take you to the train station and easy transfer to Heidelberg. Great decor. A little bit difficult to get up and down the stairs. Left the suitcases down stairs. lol. We had Wifi for one night and the next two days no wifi. When I messaged the hosts I got no response. :(

- Nicolene (9/5): I hope I can return one day ... and I'll bring the rest of the family along! - This is a hidden gem! The beautiful old house is part of a walled village on top of the hill, and it reminded me of the town in Beauty and the Beast. The house itself is decorated to fit in with the surroundings - filled with old things, traditional things ... yet it still seems fresh and bright, with a modern bathroom and kitchen. We had everything we needed, and more ... even a little dishwasher. The flowers and bottle of wine that welcomed us were such a nice touch - thank you! We enjoyed our stay SO much! Only a suggestion: warn potential guests on the Booking.com page about the steep staircase. I have a wonky knee, and the stairs were a bit challenging.
- Arkiii (10/5): Exceptional time in a wonderful part of the world - The information and help supplied before arrival was very useful in aiding us to plot our way there. The house has real character and made the time spent indoors nearly as engaging as the time spent outdoors. Some interesting innovation to provide modern facilities, particularly the bathroom, but it all worked very well. The location is excellent in that there are places to go, sights to see, things to do, food to sample all within easy striking distance. The setting of Dilsberg itself is superb: hilltop walled village with views down the Neckar River and narrow streets and paths to wander along. And then there is the food - a good restaurant in the heart of the village. It was indeed the special stay (or in my case, return) for which we had been hoping. Nothing to not like, but we went to that part of Germany with the intention to partake in the spargelfesten going on. It might be an idea to stock the kitchen with a spargel scraper/peeler: I didn't have much luck with the knife when it came to preparing all the spargel we had acquired on the stalls in the markets.
- Ian (10/5): We loved our stay - Beautiful little cottage at Dilsberg castle. Tastefully decorated with historical sketches and objets. Modern bathroom and kitchen and comfortable lounge. Very clean three storey apartment. Bus service from Neckargemund ends around 7-8 o'clock.
