Guest Reviews
- Matthew (10/5): -
- JorgeFSAlmeida (10/5): Amazing place for a small group in a superb location. - Process to check-in was smooth, the place was very clean and had everything we needed. All the amenities (coffee, milk, personal hygiene items, etc.) made the first few days easier and the area is very safe and close to shops and transportation links. We didn't realise the en-suite bathroom was not a full bathroom until we arrived. It only has a shower. While not a deal breaker to us, I suggest it's made clearer in the listing description and photos.
- Peter (10/5): Great location - Super property
- richard (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - Nice property in a good location. Good host, would recommend
- Xavier (10/5): Super - Les équipements et l’emplacement Rien tout est parfait
- Julia (10/5): Great stay in lovely Kew! - Lovely clean property, well maintained and in a great location. Would definitely return & recommend! Nothing not to like - we loved it all
- James (10/5): -
- Chao (9/5): - Clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and a 10-minute walk to the underground. Having a parking space is very convenient. It would be great if there was one more toilet. Although there are two showers, one of them is too small to use.
If you have a large car, finding a parking spot can be a bit difficult.
- Beverley (9/5): - Cleanliness, location comfort Although it had a parking space, I would recommend it saying it’s for a small, small/ medium sized car - ours only just fitted on at a tight angle.
- Berfu (9/5): This little place was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed! - This hosts were super kind and accommodated our schedules. They were understanding and very helpful.
- Luisa (10/5): - Our flight had quite a delay and the team of this beautiful flat still managed to hand over the keys to us - thank you so much!
Very nice place, very recommend it!
- Ying (9/5): -
- Yuanjie (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Great location within easy walking distance of transport (train station) and nice restaurants. Cosy apartment. - Everything we needed was provided Slight damp /musty odour
- Mei (10/5): - The apartment has everything we needed for a two day trip. definitely recommend for family like us. The host was every kind to put a small milk and some bottle water in the fridge. the parking area is very small but again, with some help its easy to park. Very secure and safe.
- Sharon (8/5): Great location and well-equipped home for a stay in Kew Gardens -
- bohemiantune (8/5): A nice place to stay near Kew Gardens - The house is great, as it has everything you might need for a short (or longer) stay, including milk and water in the fridge, cleaning supplies, etc.
It was clean and is located in a nice area, about 10 min from the Kew Gardens station, and a 5 min walk to a small shopping centre and the Thames. Communication with the team was easy through WhatsApp. The beds were comfortable, and the pullout sofa was fine for a child. There was good water pressure for showers. All five of us noticed a strange fishy smell in the house, and when we enquired about it, we were told to open the windows. The smell lingered for part of the night, which was a shame. We weren't able to pinpoint where it originated from.
- Karen (9/5): -
- Keeley (10/5): We had a great time and was lovely to come back to a warm comfy home - Great location and beautiful home had everything we needed and the team were so helpful and welcoming Nothing was fantastic
- nicole (9/5): A great stay! - Great location, finished to a lovely standard. Comfortable will all amenities. Check in was easy. Unfortunately we experienced a leak on one of the velux windows & there was a slight smell of damp.
- JILL (10/5): - Fabulous location close to Kew Gardens and Kew Station.
Cozy little house, clean and comfortable. Beautifully furnished and included lots of extras such as tea, coffee and milk.
Paloma communicated well with us and was there to meet us and guide us into the parking space. She was so helpful and provided a guide for all the appliances.
Would definitely recommend!
- Bradley (7/5): A bit overpriced, definitely not a house. - The apartment was clean and nicely decorated, had basic kitchen equipment. It was listed as a 'house' which is not the case, probably a converted garage. The main bedroom just had a skylight, no window. The traffic was noisy in the morning. It was overpriced. It wasn't clear on booking that it was managed by a letting agent who wanted to have a lot of contact before the stay, and also needed a specific check in time as we had to be met to be let into the property.
- Lyndsay (9/5): Great little place for a short stay - Great location, convenient for trains to London.
Plenty of towels, linen very nice. Lots of nice touches- soap, coffee and milk, biscuits. Staff very helpful. Was quite compact! Sofa not terribly comfy. Parking very tight although it was very secure.
- Jason (10/5): Great tidy comfortable property - Location was great for Kew Gardens
Great communication from our host.
- Eleanor (10/5): A great stay. Perfect location and a lovely home for a few days. -
- james (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): -
- Lee (9/5): Friendly, clean and comfortable - Friendly staff who did everything to make our stay perfect, even helped me download a useful app to get around Everything was good
- Mollie (10/5): Comfortable, easy and great stay! Would book again - Very clean, easy access and great check in and out experience! N/A - didn't find anything wrong!
- Cris (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything, great contact with the staff, incredible house, comfortable and very cozy. Soft beds, backyard with garden and best of all I felt very safe. I will definitely come back again!
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ute (10/5): Cozy Place near Kew Gardens - Very nice Little House near Kew Gardens. Owners know how to keep a small place at the street cozy inside with a beautyful Little Garden. Inside the House You’ll have everything you need during a Short Term stay. Very good explanation of all helpful things inside and outside. Incl. parking Lot in Front behind a closed Gate which perfectly parted the outside world from the nice Inside. 15 minutes Walk to Victoria Gate at Kew Gardens where you could spend the Days… 10 minutes Walk to Underground Station Kew. We were Lucky to find this place. Heathrow Airport air corridor. Be prepared to bring earplugs. But this is nothing to score against the owners!! 😉
- Lucy (6/5): Nice accommodation but so hard to sleep I can’t recommend. - The property was very clean and had comfortable furniture, all condiments/oils/toileteries you could need and cooking facilities, well-located for our purposes. As others have noted, the property is on the Heathrow flight path and so, during hot weather with windows open, it’s incredibly loud as planes fly overhead.
The master bedroom has only a skylight window with a very thin blind- we woke at 5.40am on our first morning due to the fact it was effectively day light in the room (having been woken multiple times in the night by outside noise). Whilst the accommodation provide a fan in the bedrooms, this only goes so far to cool down. The second bedroom has a small double bed in and equally was very hot/bright due to insufficient curtain-ware. The terrible sleep was incredibly disappointing as we had two big family occasions this weekend for which we were all very tired.
To clarify on the garden area versus how this is presented in the pictures- if you wish to use the parking space you are effectively parking on the same gravel area which decreases the space by a third. I don’t believe this is clear from the accommodation description.
It was also a bit odd to receive a message from the “CEO” of the company telling us housekeeping would be arriving 5 mins before our paid-for checkout time (10am) in order to accommodate a wedding party? The implication here felt a bit strange- especially as we were a wedding party too…
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great - close to Kew gardens tube station
Had everything we needed to cook - space for one car on the drive and the side street was free to park on the weekend for the second car. Staff were excellent and really accommodating to us Nothing :)
- Karen (10/5): Most amazing day ever! - We had the most delightful experience at the Beautiful West End Cottage. Everything was just perfect about the accommodations, but what really made
The experience special was our wonderful communications with Paloma. She was with us every step of the way from before we got to the property until the day we left. We couldn’t have gotten along as well as we did without our communications with her. We are so grateful. We loved everything.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesca (10/5): Fantastic - Fab location! Great host & really clean
- Nia (8/5): Great accommodation in a nice area with easy access for central London. - We liked the free off road and secure parking. Close amenities. Great links to central London. Space within the apartment was good for a family of 4 people. Communication with the accommodation team was excellent! Beds we're very comfortable. It was lacking an extra toilet, we struggled with only 1 toilet. The en-suite shower was very small, taller people would struggle to fit. 2nd bedroom double bed was on the small side. Needed extra ventilation. Needing a colander in the kitchen.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - This is a lovely house, very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. We had a very relaxed stay here. It's an easy walking distance to Kew and the station and there is a bus stop just over the road. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing
- Adam (10/5): Perfect. - Great stay and the hosts were very attentive. Highly recommend.
- Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Great value and exceptional apartment. - The location was fantastic, near to rail links and local shops. Exceptional value for money, great communication with the house team and a very comfortable accommodation. Not a thing
- Paula (9/5): Short break - Clean, comfortable beds, everything you need, good for transport, helpful staff Tv remote didnt work but came to sort it the second day
- Richard (10/5): A great way to visit London and feel like a local. - It’s a beautiful little flat in a really lovely part of London. It was perfect for us, a family of 3, to explore London for two weeks. The staff are also really helpful and responsive.
- Ross (9/5): Good value for money - Good location and parking Ensuite was just a shower and sink
- Simon (9/5): Comfortable, spacious, good location and communication - Ideally situated for Kew gardens with parking.
Clean, excellent communication, spacious , well equipped.
Would happily stay again Being really picky the bed was not quite as comfy as home.. and ear plugs would have been good as on flight path for Heathrow.
Both minor issues in an almost faultless property
- Mariangela (10/5): Value for money. Very nice and complete appartment to enjoy a few days of London. - The appartment was very nice and cosy. Good decision from the owner to include a small shower in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with crisp sheets and also the bedcouch was comfortable enough (and easy to fold out).
Kew Gardens is a very safe and green neighbourhood. Within the hour you are in Central London taking the districtline. The only thing I didn’t like were the many air refreshners.
But since these can be unplugged that was not really a downside.
- Madeline (9/5): Great location & lots of local facilities nearby - great restaurants & pubs - Location - Near to Kew Gardens - 10 min walk It had everything needed for a short stay but was not luxurious
- Robyn (10/5): Enjoyable - Close to the tube. Everything you need.
- Myriam (10/5): Exceptional - The home was perfect for our short stay.
It fit our family needs. From waters on arrival, cupboards with tea and coffee. Milk in fridge.
Nice little touch.
Exceptionally clean.
Everything in working order felt very secure to stay at home.
Would most definitely recommend and return in the future. That we couldn't stay longer.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (10/5): Had a great time - Very , very comfortable beds. All facilities for 4 people. Kitchen fully furnished. 1.5 bathrooms. Parking.inside . Nice plants. I liked everything.
- Desigan (9/5): Superb - Beautiful apartment in a lovely suburb. The Apartment is has all you need and more. The hosts were very welcoming and kept in contact throughout our visit. Absolutely loved our stay and highly recommended.
- Cengiz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (10/5): Superb. - The location is superb. A (roughly) 5 minute walk from Kew Garden tube station, which has fabulous essential amenities located just outside, this really is a lovely property. For those of you who care about such things, it is privately gated with strict security control access. The property is designed around comfort and facility and was an excellent stay for five adults. The hosts/letting agents are warm, friendly, and cannot do enough to help you, should you require it. I know London very well and cannot fault this property, it is truly excellent. Faultless.
- Adrian (10/5): Perfect property for weekend away to goto Kew gardens - Facilities, were good ideal for four people we were met at the property, able to park off road. There were some good places to eat closest but check you may need to book. Nice walk to kew garden. Management set up WhatsApp group which made contact easy for questions which set up before we left. Received tutorial on how to get into the premises. They could not be more helpful. Nothing it was perfect for us
- Angela (10/5): Free secure car parking accommodation London - Excellent location for us visiting the west end from Kew gardens.
Off road parking was the main reason for our booking which was a real bonus for inner London.
Location to Kew Garden station was excellent. Lovely area. Felt very safe.
Welcome extras with water, coffee and milk. We weren't prepared for the non stop main road but as it was the weekend we parked on the side road to check in and after drove the car into the allocated space which is secure. One review I read said difficult to park SUV. Adequate space for our Honda CRV.
Requires 2 people to open the gate to ease the stress of the non stop main road. Parking space is directly outside property.
The in person check in is required at a precise time. Keysafe would've eased the process of arriving to cut out the necessity of meeting the agent if you decide on any last minute changes to your visit plans.
You are requested to join whats app group with the agents which annoyingly caused me to receive alerts thru both platforms booking.com & whatsapp.
- Alfie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larysa (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location with easy access to train station. It's my second time at the property, and I will definitely stay here again. It's very cosy and has got everything to feel like at home away from home. Team is amazing, thank you Paloma for great communications.
- Andy (7/5): Overall a good stay in a great location - Excellent location, very clean toilets and bedding.
Hosts were very helpful and friendly Outside furniture damaged and didn’t seem safe enough to sit on.
Furniture and fittings a little tired/dated.
- Georgia (9/5): Superb - Clean, spacious and perfect for what we needed Noisy from air traffic at Heathrow
- Arne (10/5): It was all a most pleasant experience. - Location was great, central with off street parking.
The house was exceptionally well equipped.
Staff was very pleasant and professional both before, during and at check out. Nothing to complain about
- Dominic (10/5): We loved every minute of our stay, the staff were really helpful and made everything really easy for us, would recommend - The property was lovely and clean, everything we expected
- Albusaidi (9/5): Superb -
- Marta (9/5): Comfortable and close to the Tube station - House is very clean and cosy:) great for visiting Kew Garden and it is good to eat in 'Tap on the line pub' close to the Kew Garden Tube station; coffe machine available Recommended if You travel by car, however, the car gate is quite narrow and it is difficult to park if you have got a bigger car
- Kamil (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, peaceful neighbourhood, spaceful Apartment with everything what is needed for pleasant stay. Apartment and service is exeptional, but The Tube in this area is not reliable.
- Yan (9/5): Kew, short, comfortable stay - Cleanliness, excellent facilities with a bath :-) Proximity to Kew Tube Station, Village and Gardens, all within easy walking distance. Supermarket nearby too. On a busy ish road and under a flight path (but we knew this when we booked, and there is fencing which cuts the traffic noise a lot). Also, some people might find the pillows a bit hard, but otherwise beds/bedding very comfy.
- Carole (10/5): After a busy day of travelling and walking the clean comfy beds were wonderful - Location was good for visiting Kew Gardens - we went out for breakfast but really appreciated the milk bottled water biscuits tea and coffee that were provided Unfortunately the toilet seat had come off but was sorted when mentioned to the very friendly lady who came to check us out
- Ian (7/5): Good amenities close to tube - It had all the amenities we could need for a short weekend stay. We were kindly left milk, a few biscuits, tea bags and coffee which was good. There are a few shops and cafes nearby and the tube is only a few hundred metres away. We were met by a member of the team and shown around property. Good communication. We felt that it needed a bit of TLC, the smaller bedroom wardrobe was falling apart and one of the windows leaked but they were aware of this. This room needs a few side tables with lights, not wardrobes right at edge of the bed in our opinion as we like to read at night. It is on a busy road and the Heathrow flight path so a little noisy.
- Sadie (10/5): The hosts were absolutely amazing, fantastic communication throughout - Excellent location and off street parking, great space to share with family/friends. Great cafe’s, M&S and local amenities close by. Hosts were brilliant, contacted before visit and constantly kept updated with all information needed before arrival. So helpful with all my questions prior to arrival and couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely lady met us at the property to hand over everything. Really highly recommend this property for a perfect stay when wanting to visit London. We visited Kew Gardens, Shopping in London and The Ritz, all transport links so easy and great access into London
- Fiona (9/5): Location and accommodation perfect for our visit to Kew Gardens -
- Shani (10/5): Exceptional - Location, baby-friendly, host attentiveness, private parking!
Really enjoyed our stay Lack of socket locations- and skirting board disruptive with plugging in charger!
- Atul (10/5): Simply perfect - Start to finish a great place to stay with kids. Perfectly tucked away, all the home comforts and we needed nothing!
Location spot on for travelling anywhere in and around London. Secure off street parking a huge bonus. We were met at the property with a great introduction to the property and local amenities.
Great communication from SW1X team from initial booking to leaving.
Would stay again without any hesitation and would recommend highly.
Thank you all! Expectations were more then met.
- Nicolas (8/5): Very good - Clean house, near the underground, small garden, easy check-in / checkout Noisy road.
- Eva (8/5): Very good - Nice little house near Kew gardens underground station, good kitchen, cosy, nice hosts. Big noise from aeroplanes above, there were a lot of them.
- Yuen (8/5): Very good - It was fab location for us as it was very close to Kew gardens and the underground station. The flat have everything we needed. They were so accommodating and we are happy to stay here again next time we are in London.
- Dale (9/5): Family stay close to Kew Gardens - Great location. 15 minute walk to Kew Gardens. Good parking locally and a parking spot on site.
Very safe
Close to the tube lines. Wouldn’t say didn’t like. But it’s south west London, so Heathrow planes can get loud.
- John (10/5): Beautiful place in a safe and very beautiful part of London - very comfortable and well appointed. just perfect for us two. short walks to Kew Gardens and the National Archives. There is transport, shopping and dining nearby. A very comfortable place to retreat from the hurly burly of London and relax awhile. we had to leave
- Syana (9/5): Superb -
- Jo (9/5): Perfect SW London bolt hole with secure parking. - Very comfortable and an easy walk to the tube. Private secure parking is also a huge bonus! This property is on the flight path so the plane noise was noticeable first thing in the morning. There is a main road outside but you can hardly hear it.
- Anita (9/5): Superb - Perfect for Kew gardens and trains to centre We needed a non slip mat in the bath
- Theodora (10/5): Wonderful place to spend time with family - Beautiful place, great living room decorated with a lot of taste plus 2 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. I spent one night here with boyfriend, my daughter and my grandchildren and we had so much fun.
- Paulina (9/5): Cosy house - Beautiful and cosy house with fantastic facilities.
Very friendly and helpful host. The beds weren't very comfortable and with 5 people one toilet is simply not enough unfortunately.
Also parking is very tight, only for smaller cars.
- Natalie (7/5): Good - Bed was comfortable, milk was ready for coffee There was a bad smell in the master bedroom
- Charlotte (10/5): Fantastic home, perfect for us! - Just returned from the most fantastic city break to London and Kew Gardens Xmas light trail. We stayed at this beautiful home which was perfect for our needs as a family of 5 (children aged 10, 8 and 4). It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication from the host was superb. The location is perfect if you want to visit Kew gardens or just a city break in London. Easy to commute into central London. 2 out of 3 children are crying tonight because they are missing their little house in London. Highly recommend and we would stay here again. Nothing. This was perfect for our needs.
- Nia (10/5): Had a lovely stay with my partner and some friends while visiting winter wonderland :) - Perfect location and secluded.
- Jerry (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Great place to visit Kew Gardens - Very clean and cosy accommodation. The place was very well equipped. We were visiting Kew Gardens and the location was perfect. The off street secure parking was a real bonus. The communication with the host was excellent. We would definitely stay again.
- David (10/5): Great house and facilities - Great house convenient for local facilities and easy access to central London House was perfect
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely property, fantastic location and service. - The property was in a great location, we arrived later than expected due to traffic issues but this wasn't a problem, we arrived with water and milk for tea in the fridge, fully equipped kitchen and shampoo conditioner & shower gel in the bathroom. The property itself is in the little village of Kew where 5-10 min walk away you will find the train station and a selection of restaurants and a Tesco express. There is also a small tight drive infront of the property but we got our SUV in at a squeeze. Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Quiet, comfortable, safe and good staff - Very good staff, facilities were good. Everything we needed in a cute, very safe area. Short walk to train station. It’s a stretch to the center but the train takes you straight to many central locations.
- Bernie (9/5): Lovely two bed house that has all you need. Paloma the host was great! 7 min walk to tube station - Very cosy and private little hideaway in great location, Well appointed and kept in beautiful condition.
2 minute walk to M&S supermarket. Would highly recommend.
- Neil (6/5): A decent apartment, let down by a few things. - Good location. Clean. Well equipped. TV was broken entire visit. Bad smell coming from drain in en suite. Bath plug broken. Cleaners still working when we arrived at agreed check in time.
- Dieter (9/5): We stayed here with two adults and three teenagers. Recommended! - Kew Gardens underground station on walking distance. Excellent location to explore London and its wider area.
- Ebba (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (9/5): Superb - Great location, good to have parking, home was modern bright and airy Bed in 2nd bedroom was very small and the room needed a mirror. Shower in master bedroom was very small
- Amanda (9/5): Charming little home with everything you could want - Great space, very clean and charming, came fully stocked and the team were very communicative and friendly
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
