Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): A charming place to stay while in Robe. - The Snug was such a charming heritage place to stay in Robe & in a very convenient location to restaurants & the coastal walking trail. JJ kindly gave me use of the washing machine & provided a clothes horse to dry our clothes. We loved our visits from Charlie, the dog too! Everything was excellent but I would have liked a face washer in the bathroom (just a suggestion)
- Susan (10/5): Really easy - It’s really comfortable and great location
- Jason (6/5): Wouldn’t revisit - The location The entrance to the property was very unusual and also walking through a yard past other accommodation buildings wasn’t great. There also was dog poo where we needed to enter and exit. The TV reception was very poor as the channels would not constantly work.
- Kate (5/5): Cute, basic and good location - Cute property with good location Beds were uncomfortable. For that price point you would expect internet, tv reception, firewood for fire and better linen on the beds. Nice accommodation but some small adjustments would make it more comfortable.
- Mark (10/5): - Lovely location, really well set up.
- Kate (9/5): -
- Sonia (8/5): A great place to stay in Robe - cute and cosy. - This property is in a great location in Robe. Nothing.
- carol (10/5): -
- Alysha (10/5): Perfect accomodation for our overnight stay in Robe. Beautiful home. Perfect location! Would highly recommend! - Location is perfect, near the beach. Lots of places to eat nearby. Beautiful scenery for walking/running.
- Claudia (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Robe - we were delighted just being there! - We loved everything about the Snug - it was beautiful, charming, enormous character, and felt like the perfect (holiday) home away from home. Brilliant location, and beautiful indoor and outdoor places to relax when taking a break from sightseeing gorgeous Robe. I would not hesitate to recommend The Snug.
- Carly (9/5): -
- Lee-Ann and Brett (9/5): - Cute little historic cottage, great location, comfortable, nice touches, herb garden 👌rain water 👌, books, games nice relaxing stay. Close to beach, shops etc. Highly recommend Nothing ❤️
- Nicholas (9/5): - Lovely, character-filled accommodation in an perfect location, easy walk to the beaches, shops and the pub. Friendly host, and we’d happily return.
- Karen (10/5): We were so impressed with everything at the Snug. We will definitely recommend it to friends. - Totally charming, beautifully renovated historic cottage. Lovely decor. High quality bedding and equipment and products. Terrific book collection. Attention to detail everywhere was so impressive. Great garden. Close to everything in Robe. We liked everything.
- Kate (9/5): Loved it so much, will be back! - Loved the location, walking distance to the pubs, coffee shops, shopping and cafes. Cosy, quiet and beautiful accommodation, bonus was meeting Charlie the resident dog!
- Chris (10/5): -
- Wayne (10/5): Enjoyable stay in a local gem! - Fantastic position in town!
- James (10/5): The most memorable stay of our lives! - Staying at The Snug was an absolute dream. The chance to stay in such a beautiful, historic building made the experience truly special. It’s exceptionally well maintained, very comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay. The two Jack Russells were an unexpected highlight — incredibly friendly and full of character. A memorable place we’d happily return to.
- Mirjam (10/5): -
- Jake (10/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): - Wonderful stay, great location, great ambience! Would definitely stay again
- Peter (9/5): Most comfortable sleeps imaginable in the Snug - A beautiful historic cottage right in the of Robe. The bedrooms and bedding were so comfortable we had the best sleeps imaginable during our stay for a small historic period cottage. The facilities are all you could wish for. We also loved the little dog who came to greet us whenever we went outside. It was quite cold during our stay even for November. There was a fireplace there but no Firewood. It would’ve been appreciated if we had some available. There was electric heating available which was adequate.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Maureen (8/5): -
- Rebecca (8/5): Cute cottage in a great location - Lovely snug cottage in a great location. Comfortable beds and loved meeting the resident dogs. Would be good if there was wifi and a TV that you can log into streaming services on.
- Kim (8/5): Only there for a night but would have loved to stay longer - Beautiful character building
- Rosalyn (8/5): -
- Rosslyn (9/5): - Great location, cosy, clean and quiet.
- Deborah (9/5): Fabulous little bolt hole! - Fabulous, quaint old property, oozing with character, centrally located.
Great facilities, comfy beds, comfy lounges and a great wood burner (although not used) and well functioning bathroom complete with separate loo & washbasin).
Compact but well put together kitchen and fresh milk & water a nice touch.
JJ the owner was an excellent communicator and made us feel very welcome indeed. With only a 2 burner cook top (and a microwave) there was a build up of greece and cooking smells in the kitchen.
But no other issues!
- Jenny (9/5): - The Snug had everything we needed - it was comfortable and spacious and was also in a great location, close to the centre town and the beach. JJ was a good host and was very responsive to communications.
- Karo (10/5): Would have loved to simply stay there forever - Loved the style, the set up and the furniture of the cottage. It is a quiet hideaway, close to all that Robe has to offer. The bench top in the kitchen could do with an update, everything else is just fine.
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- Laurie (10/5): Perfect - Location, Charlie the dog, beautiful place Nothing

- Phil (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): -
- Iain (9/5): We enjoyed the ability to walk to shops and restaurants. We also were happy with access to walks. - The location was fantastic. We were close to all facilities but being off the main street it was very quiet. Only the weather. Hahaha.
- Mark (9/5): We hope to return for a longer stay very soon. - It is a very comfortable set of rooms nestled in a quiet corner of our favorite part of Robe with a beautiful little garden.
- Lisa (10/5): - Everything was absolutely perfect 🥰 JJ was a great host and very accomodating. And if you're missing your fur babies there's two cute pups to snuggle. Charlie and LouLou I miss them already. Will definitely be back. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.
- Alllison (9/5): -
- Manuel (8/5): Cosy little cottage in a very central location - Comfortable little cottage in a quiet spot in a central location in Robe. We liked the cosy vibe, the proximity to several places to eat and the ease to travel around. Please be aware there is no wi-fi. Not an issue for us because we had our UK mobile network pass, but mentioning for visibility.
- Jocelyn (8/5): - The fire place
- Antony (9/5): The Snug is charming, cosy and comfortable! - We loved its unique, historic charm and homely atmosphere. It was “Snug” even on a cold, wet, windy July night. The wood burner worked well & JJ supplied us with plenty of logs. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped & the whole place was spotless. We would be happy to return! Car parking is on a grass verge outside the property and there is a short walk across the lawn with your luggage to the accommodation. This was not a problem for us, but it is worth noting.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - The small things that make all the difference. We were arriving after sunset and our wonderful hosts turned on the heater and some welcoming lights. Great communication. The property is delightful, fantastic location and well equipped. The wood fireplace was a nice bonus to make it extra snug. Highly recommend!
- June (8/5): Very comfortable - Location was excellent.
- Kerrie (10/5): The cutest, quaintest little cottage right in the centre of gorgeous Tobe! - The cutest, quaintest little cottage right in the centre of gorgeous Robe!
Dating back to 1840, it has all the charm and is so comfortable & warm. The fireplace was a hit with the wood already set to light. Comfy beds and living space. We stayed in The Snug which required carrying our luggage a little further but it was so worth it!
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful relaxing mini-break in comfortable cosy cottage, centrally located in Robe. - We loved the cosiness and history of the little cottage, the very comfy bed, the dappled light coming in from the pergola area in the mornings, and the thoughtfulness of our host. The location was great - across the road from the beach and within a few minutes walk to Robe's abundant restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars etc.
We would highly recommend staying at "The Snug".
- Greg (8/5): Only drawback was absence of wifi, but great for a get away from it all break. -
- Christine (10/5): Delightful "Snug" in the centre of beautiful Robe. - Awesome location close to the beaches, restaurants and cafes. Cute as a button. Delightful decor. Everything at hand even drinking water in the fridge. Would like to have spent more time here. Maybe a sheet as well as the doona.
- Wendy (9/5): Heartwarming & relaxing! - Central location in Robe, next to beautiful shops, restaurants, beaches and walks; the charm and history of the cottage; great facilities in an enchanting cottage. Thoughtful welcome jug of milk. As an older couple one with a minor disability, car parking was further from the house than we probably expected. It was a slight walk to take luggage across the undulating shared garden of the cottage side by side to reach The Snug. We managed it ok but this might be worth stating for others in a similar boat. On the positive side, we were in the centre of Robe which made life easier!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beaumont (5/5): Loved the quaintness of the cottage, central location (loud music from The Cally was not good). - Quaint cottage, central location The swarm of ants, the big black spider and the dead mouse on the kitchen floor.
Very dull light (one wasn't working) in lounge, no WiFi.
- Mary (9/5): A peaceful oasis right in the heart of busy Robe with only a few short steps to the sea. - Loved the history and the clever restoration. Lots of books and games. Very comfortable and a perfect location.
Friendly host and a lovely private garden setting.
- Flavius (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (10/5): Perfect cottage to sum up a lovely weekend - The cutest little cottage, it was so cozy and such a lovely environment. It had everything we needed and was so close to the beach and the Main Street which was perfect. Can’t say there is anything we didn’t like about it.
- Amber (9/5): Cosy, quiet, relaxing stay. - Fantastic location. Quiet property that felt private. Nicely insulated and cosy. Nice decor and style. Amazing bookshelf selection. Great friendly host. Gorgeous dogs, especially Charlie, who came to visit us often daily for tummy rubs and was a really enjoyable part of the stay. The owner checked with us if we wanted the dogs around or not (we love dogs).
- Katrin (10/5): It was great - It was really nice and cozy😁we will coming back again hopefully soon😊😊😊😊
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Magnificent original buildings in the most central spot in Robe. JJ was very helpful and we can't wait to come back.
- Jane (9/5): Excellent location, character accomodation. We loved our stay. - The location was fabulous - we could walk everywhere. Some local produce for breakfast would have been a nice add on.

- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Heidi (8/5): Very good - Very cosy, especially in the stormy weather. Great location with a pub across the road. Had a very tasty pizza from the place within few minutes walk. And can defo recommend the Chinese food! Carpets were a little damp due to a few drips from the weather.
- Diane (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (9/5): Superb -
- Dianne (9/5): Superb -
- Suzanne (7/5): Good -
- Alison (6/5): Nice cottage in a good location. - Quaint, nicely renovated Smelled of damp,

- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (10/5): Loved our stay - Full of character, brilliant location, comfortable bed, ease of parking
- Michael (9/5): Great choice for a bit of Robe's history. - Beautifully appointed, original stone cottage - it's a little bit of Robe history. Lot's of space and a lovely garden courtyard with outdoor dining facilities. Inside, there's good space for lounging, cooking and eating; bed very comfortable. Nothing major but be clear that it's a holiday house so cooking is on a 2 burner stove and microwave. There's also a bit of a walk from the car if you have lot's of luggage or need to move heavy pieces. Parking is just outside the property.
- Jo-anne (8/5): Na - The closeness to the main street The low door frames and the live music across the road at the pub.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful accommodation. Excellent location.
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional - The Snug is a delightful old cottage, in the centre of the old town, and a stones throw or three from the beach. It is very private, as a large garden separates the property from the road. It's tucked away, with courtyard access, hidden behind a larger rental property (another old cottage), which shares the garden. Cottage has thick stone walls and decor is comfortable and rustic, in keeping with the age of the cottage. It has the feel of a beloved old welcoming friend.
You have to get through one bedroom to reach the second with bathroom and separate toilet between. Kitchen stocked well enough to be able to do your own cooking. Nothing to add.
- Cheryl (9/5): We had a fabulous time would recommend - So cosy and historic it was as described ‘a snug’ There was no wifi but that didn’t really bother us much
- Michelle (9/5): It felt like we'd chosen the best place to stay in Robe - It was close to everything, yet out of the way and sheltered No complaints
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect, cosy little spot right near the water and main st! That we couldn’t stay longer!
- King (10/5): Too short a stay but had the most lovely two night stay. - The cuteness of Robe bundled up into the perfect property. Full of charm and character with a gorgeous courtyard garden. Super friendly and accommodating host. We had the most amazing weekend stay at The Snug and can’t wait to return. Nothing.
- Wayne (9/5): A great central location to look around the pretty town of Robe -
- Christophe (9/5): Charming sleepy beach location - Charming, tastefully decorated, great host A little cold when we arrived
- Jodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Brilliant. Easy. Relaxing. - Location perfect. Across the road from the foreshore and walking tracks . 20m from the villages, cafes and shops. The host popped the heaters on and lights on for our arrival.
- Bfg (9/5): A great 2 night stray in a cottage full of character and a pretty town by the sea. - The character of the cottage was fantastic and the location was brilliant and host was fantastic. The pub across the road was also great. nothing everything was great.

- Evan (8/5): Property was as expected ,all though advertised washing machine was not available . - Property was as expected . We were on the road and as advertised expected a washing machine . There was a shared machine ,but every time we went to use it had clothes in it .
- Robert (9/5): I would highly recommend the snug. - The snug, in short, is special. The location was perfect - right in the center of Robe, but amazingly, able to give anyone staying here a complete sense of privacy and of having their own "personal space" surrounded by a well-kept garden. It is also a character-full cottage that will appeal to anyone who prefers a place that is full of character, charm and old fashioned cosiness. It's name says it all - snug, while also being very pretty and very comfortable. nothing
- Gillian (9/5): We had a short 2 night stay for friend's wedding - wish we had have had more time at The Snug! - The location was fantastic - right in the middle of town and a 2 minute walk to the beach.
