• Marion (9/5): - Lage direkt am See mit eigener Terrasse, Badesteg, Boote zur freien Verfügung. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Rustikale, in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung. Eines der Betten war schon sehr durchgelegen.
• sheila (7/5): Beautiful Cottage on nice quiet Lake supplied with everything needed, Host was friendly ty - Cottage #2 was awesome, great view of lake. Private outside sitting deck. Loved the screened in porch!! Mel was nice friendly host. Free use of canoes and BBQ inc propane ty, The amazing home made shower in the cottage was nice surprise, got to see for yourself. There was a fire ban on when we went, so didnt get to enjoy a fire BUT if we had, wood is supplied as long as it is available. The lake area around dock was weedy and green algae so no way we would swim in in. There is a nice beach 5 mins away we did enjoy that.

• Rachel (8/5): - Fabulous peaceful location right by the lake for swimming and also with free kayaks and canoes to use. Cabins had lots of outdoor space to sit and barbecue to use. Short drive to Thousand Islands tour. The nearby locks on the canal are interesting. Take bug spray as the mosquitoes come out in the evening ! The decor is old and cosy which we liked but might not suit everyone. The weather was hotter than normal when we were there and the bedrooms were a bit hot. The owner gave us another fan which helped.
• Marguerite (10/5): Hidden Gem! Perfect spot for a quiet getaway for adults. - Location was top notch. Quiet and beautiful. Lake is quiet and peaceful enough for paddleboarding. Very few motor boats so it was lovely! Lots of kayaks and canoes available for your use at anytime. Lake was warm and fun to swim in. Cottage was clean and enough supplies to cook our own meals easily. Was a perfect getaway. Owners are onsite and such kind people! Very well maintained property. Queen bed was uncomfortable. Old and bouncy so we didn't sleep well unfortunately but I guess that's cottage life and we were ok with it as the location was so beautiful. 😀

• Sara (10/5): Definitely recommend staying here. - The owners are super nice. The cottages are super comfortable. The lake is just a walk down the way from the cabins. Each cabin has a screened in space, great for a hot morning beverage.
• Elfarouki (9/5): A Cozy Dream Cottage! - Location was amazing! Right on the lake! Mel (the host)was so welcoming,helpful,& made every effort to keep us always happy& comfortable! Everything we needed was there & there were plenty of options to enjoy the scenic views. The Lindhurst downtown district was just 10mns away walking. The fresh food market was a 5mns drive where we could get freshly homemade icecream & fresh produce. We stayed for 2 nights and surely would love to come back again! There was no dishwasher

• Mcallister (10/5): A Favorite Vacation - If you are looking for a delightful, peaceful place to relax, this is the place! An unassuming, comfortable cabin with a rustic shower, fully loaded kitchen, utensils pots pans,plates coffee pot, everything you need, a view of a beautiful lake and attentive personable owners. Fishing, swimming, complimentary canoes a little boat, life jackets and propane grill, WI-FI. Our cabin actually had a TV, games, and a VCR( bring CD's.) A leisurely walk to town, surprisingly wonderful women's garments and jewelry store on the main Street ( purchased a great linen dress and shirt), bait shop (general store) and a bit further a local eatery. I took a little walk to the local cemetery (I, do that) tombstones dated back from the 19th century! My husband and I had a fire in the evening ( purchased wood at a gas station, then of course saw wood being sold on the side of the road during our drives....see it, buy it, not available on property) A short drive to Gananoque to take a boat tour to the thousand islands. Tour the historic town, take a swim( free )have a meal even go to the laundromat! parking is available in Pay Lots. Bathroom a little tight because of the rustic shower. Boat was small.

Great distance from Ottawa, nice cottage and thousands of trails and scenic locations to pick from. Kayaks and a boat were included so we enjoyed swimming and paddling. This was our second stay at this property.

• Sreenand (10/5): Serene Getaway Spot - Amazing view of Lyndhurst lake. Got to experience the waters from a very private area. The cottages had all the amenities I needed with a full washroom as well. The owner was very kind, welcoming and helpful.

• Lynn (10/5): Redfish Vacay 2024 - We loved the comfort of our cottage. Felt homey and welcoming. Great view of the lake. Quiet surroundings. The hosts were very approachable and receptive to our requests and comments. Although we read that there were weeds at the dock, there were far more than anticipated. Having said that, we did some fishing and used the kayak several times.
• Nelson (8/5): Wonderful relaxing spot - The place was great .Very relaxing.Nice spot to hang out by the lake .The row boat was nice .I enjoyed the swimming.When it was warm out the sunroom was very enjoyable especially at night with the cool breeze off the lake.The cottage was very clean . There wasn’t much to not like .The fire pit was in closed more like a wood stove.I prefer an open fire pit when I’m camping however this wasn’t terrible we still enjoyed a fire at night .

I like the pillows for the back made from jeans:) Good barbeque near the cottage and chairs to sit outside and near the water. The bathroom was getting too wet. The shower water got to the toilet area, and all became very wet. The lake water, though green, presents an opportunity for boating and kayaking. While it may not be suitable for swimming, it offers a unique experience for water sports enthusiasts. Smoke from the firepit on the other cottage was getting into our cottage. No air conditioning, so the place was very hot, so was hard to sleep. No place to dry towels

We absolutely loved Redfish and would highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay. The weather was our only problem on our return, but that is nature!

• Sarah (10/5): I would highly recommend this beautiful quiet vacation cottage. - It was a beautiful quiet and safe location. The place was extremely clean and easy to get to. The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the furniture is very close to the ground. We are tall and my husband has a bad back. Otherwise the place was GREAT!

• Eric (4/5): A place that may have once been enjoyable but not anymore ! - Peaceful place ok. Expensive for what we get in return. A place that may have once been decent but not anymore. All Equipment there was old and deficient. The cottage water was of poor quality (hard, smelly and full of minerals). The shower that smelled like a dead raccoon. The lake is full of algae and aquatic plants therefore not suitable for swimming.

• Geneviève (9/5): Great stay on beautiful lake - Amazing location and right on the lake which was beautiful. This is usually a 3-cottage property, however the other cottages were not booked so we had the place to ourselves. The hosts weren’t in town but were nice enough to let us rent out the cottage anyway and made accommodations for us to enjoy our time. There was 1 small heating problem on arrival which Mel immediately solved for us. He was VERY reachable even though he was on vacation himself. Great hosts. In terms of activities, there were canoes and kayaks and paddleboat available which were amazing to use with all the fall colours on the lake.
• Vipul (10/5): Excellent cottage by the lake, clean rooms, hot water and comfortable big sun room to enjoy lake - It's an excellent location to spend some quite time on a vacation. Place is filled with natural beauty and it's just by the lake. Hosts Mel and Susan are truly awesome hosts who knows how to manage a cottage used for rentals to people on holiday. They personally take care of all the cleaning and always ready to help which make the stay more enjoyable and comfortable. We enjoyed our time and would not only recommend it to our friends but also go back to this place for vacation many more times in coming future.
