Guest Reviews
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): Just fabulous! - So many wonderful touches here! Such care and attention to detail. The house is immaculate. And there are a lot of thoughtful extras thrown in, such as little chocolates, wine, biscuits, fresh milk ... everything you could need. We were greeted on arrival and felt very welcome. I would not hesitate to go back. We travel a lot and this is right up there as one of the best! Nothing.
- Mike (10/5): - excellent facilities, very clean in a great location
- Rachel (10/5): Cosy house immaculately clean - Rosie the Host was lovely - accomodating and the house was immaculate. Beds were comfy and the house had everything you could want!
- Tina (10/5): A great little find - This place was an amazing little 3 bedroom house, it was so comfortable and well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. It had high end decor with nice extra little touches. With the location only 30 mins from Shepparton, I would recommend staying here before paying for a hotel room. I hope to return on another trip. Rosie met us on arrival and was very helpful with information about the location. Nothing
- Raven (10/5): Rosie was so helpful, garden was wonderful and plenty of different areas to sit, towels so soft. -
- Diane (10/5): A Charming Stay - It was really lovely having the host, Rosie, meet us upon check-in. The house was immaculate and had a charming character that perfectly matched the country town of Euroa. There were also snacks available for us, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture. The beds were comfortable and cosy. If we ever visit the town again, we will definitely book again. Nothing
- Monique (10/5): Loved this house so much only downside was we didn’t have time to relax on the rear deck to enjoy the backyard - Presented beautifully,
Beds extremely comfortable
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at the cottage for one night to break up our drive to Melbourne. Not only was it extremely cosy, but Rosie had provided thoughtful little touches throughout to make our stay that much better. We left feeling that we had stumbled across a gem and one night was nowhere near long enough. We are already looking into when we might be able to make a purpose visit back to this lovely little property.
- Liz (10/5): Beautifully well appointed house - excellent attention to detail. Very comfortable. Lovely host. - Beautifully well appointed house - excellent attention to detail. Very comfortable. Lovely host.

- Tanya (10/5): Perfect location for a long weekend in Euroa - Rosie’s property was sparkling clean, spacious and well-located. It was the perfect location for our two young children, who enjoyed having rooms to themselves and loved the huge backyard. It was also the perfect location to walk into town, go for a run on the Apex track and also has a very convenient grocer less than a minute away. Nothing! We look forward to staying again in the future.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Jacalyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniels (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kath (9/5): Superb - The towels, linen and beds were amazing. The house was extremely clean and was modern. The host was friendly and welcoming. The kids really loved the added bonus of chocolates.
- Gemma (10/5): Cosy house in a perfect spot! - We really enjoyed our stay at Hunter Cottage. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The town centre was less than 10 minutes' walk from the property and located in a nice quiet area. Rosie was very welcoming and gave us suggestions on things to do in Euroa and surrounds, as well as good places to eat. Everything was great!
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Perfect for a one night stop over. Immaculately clean & walking distance to local cafes. - Spotlessly clean & high attention to detail with decor
Beautiful garden The a/c was noisy
- James (10/5): One of the Best; Bring your bike. - The place was immaculate, close to everything, well-appointed with comfortable furnishing, everything I needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Heaters in the bedroom and lounge kept it cozy, and the heat lamps in the bathroom added to the ease of getting started on chilly mornings and after long days cycling or hiking. Rosie was accommodating when I asked to extend my stay and had great info about cycling in the area. The gardens were well maintained and beautiful. The patio and backyard gave me options for eating, reading and just relaxing. Easy access through the back door for storing my bicycle in the laundry room, Great snacks, bread and cereal for breakfast, crisps and Timtams. When I had a few punctures, the hosts even provided CO2 cartridges so I could safely continue my cycling. Access to a big screen, smart TV and free Netflix let me switch between watching the Olympics and movies without ads. Clearly one of the best places I have stayed in Australia, and I have been booking places for over 20 years. I hope to go back soon and then in April for the Ride the Ranges cycling event. Great coffee and breakfast at Mely and Me with homemade jams and other condiments. Huge, delicious scones! Also check out the Strathbogie Store after a challenging 20 something km ride out of town. Apple cake served with a smile is the reward. Galls Gap Road is a very challenging ride up from Mansfields Road to Strathbogie but a stop at Polly McQuinns allowed for a nice break. No place to get water or food so be prepared. Going downhill on Galls Gap Road would be a dangerous descent given random potholes, tight turns and no shoulder. Motorists were very patient and gave me lots of room as I chugged up the hill and on the open road where the speed limit was 100 kph. Rosie did warn me about the local cranky cabbie who reportedly feels compelled to scream at cyclists, but I didn't run into him this time. The 400-meter walk at Goorum Falls was also a nice break from cycling.. Just some suggestions as I had no complaints. Definitely bring spare bicycle tubes and CO2 cartridges as the nearest bike shop is 47km away. Not a problem with the property and Rosie clearly came through when I was stuck, but just the heads up for any cyclists who choose this great place near some challenging but beautiful rides. Dirt roads that were in very bad condition were the access points for the Goorum Falls area and Polly McQuinns; probably should walk your bike if it's a road bike or drive very carefully. Proper shoes for walking rocky, slippery trails were required at the Goorum Falls trail (not a criticism, just a warning). If you are coming from Melbourne, time your travel so you miss morning and evening rush hour. If you get it wrong, it can add an hour to what can be an easy 1.5-hour drive once you get on the M31.
- Greta (9/5): A lovely homely stay. - My friend and I felt immediately welcome when Rosie met us upon arrival.
The location, the house and amenities were all excellent.
We could walk everywhere we needed.
- Sachith (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything was perfect and we wish if we could have more time to stay in this place. Nothing
- Angela (10/5): Excellent in every way! - My sister & I were thrilled with our overnight stay at Rosie's accommodation. The home was extremely clean, comfortable and welcoming; we wished we had booked for longer than one night! Rosie was extremely helpful, warm & friendly. We appreciated the many little extras and will certainly rebook on our next trip to Euroa.
- Mike (10/5): An exception house and great value for money. - The house was extremely comfortable and was very well maintained and appointed. The host provided everything we need and more. The little extras were very thoughtful. The bed was very comfortable. and having the whole house with the garden ensured a very relaxing stay. It was a short walking distance to the main centre and the interesting walks around the town. We would thoroughly recommend Hunter Cottage when you need to stay at Euroa Nothing

- Cox (10/5): Excellent. I will try to book the same property next time I'm down that way. - While breakfast was provided, I didn't have need to eat it. But it was nice knowing it was there. The property was lovely and a welcome change from others places I have stayed at which were not as nice. Nothing. :)
