Alison (7/5): All in all it’s a very cute property and we would definitely rent again due to location, garden and ability to bring out - Location perfect, garden and veranda brilliant, pet friendly 💙 open fire and fire pit lovely 👍🏻 No clear instructions regarding hot water, we had none till Sunday after trying various things! Hot water had not been left on for us! Waste bin needs another lock, previous tenants had filled it up with food including a whole cooked chicken and the cockies were having a field day! They unpacked it several times as the lock not working, we eventually tied it up with rope! House a bit grubby round the edges, could do with a thorough clean…although we have found every lorne house we have rented to be a bit dirty 🤣
Marzuka (7/5): Winter holiday stay with fire place , it was great. Old world cottage - location was very good ,up on hill with only a short walk to the beach. private house with garden. We liked the beautiful parrots taking food out of our hands. The peace and quiet was much appreciated. Modern kitchen. We loved the fire place and the house is old and a cottage. well we found some large roman blinds in the lounge are broken and don't work. One blind fell from the top of the patio doors on top of our mother! Lucky she was not hurt. We found lots of dust on shelves, A black jar containing kitchen utensils next to the cook top we couldn't use or touch as we found they were dirty and some still had food on them! the throw rug laid out on the bed for nice looks had holes in it. It looked like cigarette burns and some one had tried to hide the obvious. We found in the morning 3 big dog poos in the rear garden! We did the right thing and cleaned them up . In the lounge the brown long sofa set up was good until we moved and saw the dirty area under neath the cushions. The cream shag style cushions we found were not cream or off colour but very dirty and we piled in corner and left there. The dyson vacumn cleaner was still full and had to be emptied before we could use it. In the kitchen the oven was dirty inside and needs oven cleaner on walls and racks. In the bedroom we found the electric blanket on the main bed only worked on the far side. In the lounge room I had to try and fix the antenna plug as it is broken and held by brown tape. These items seem petty but when you pay $1400. For a winter stay you dont expect things like this.
